Abstract

The purpose of this study to determine: (1) The average difference between the use of student motivation guided inquiry method with modified free inquiry method, (2) the average difference in student learning outcomes between the use of guided inquiry with the inquiry method freely modified. Population were all eighth grade students in the second semester in the SMP Negeri 1 Candipuro, while samples taken VIIId the class as a class using guided inquiry and VIIIe class as a class that uses a modified method of free inquiry. Sampling technique using cluster random sampling. The results from this research is: (1) There is a difference in mean average student motivation between the use of guided inquiry method with the modified method of free inquiry, (2) There is a difference in average student learning outcomes between the use of guided inquiry with modified method of free inquiry. The average value of learning outcomes in the classroom guided inquiry is 70.87 while in the class of non-modified inquiry is 66.21 and the average value of motivation in classroom guided inquiry is 69.57. while in the class of non-modified inquiry is 65.90. Keywords: Guided Inquiry, Modified Free Inquiry, Student Learning Outcomes, Student Motivation.

Abstract

The modernization of the Ngaben Ceremony at the Santhayana Crematorium in Denpasar was carried out due to a conflict which resulted in structural sanctions for Pakraman Village so that it could oppress minority groups. In practice desa pakraman in Bali, this minority group is those who get the fewest votes compared to other groups. From this point of view, the position and role of village leaders will have a special position because they can strengthen the position of the majority. This article descriptively narrates the form, function and Implications of the Modernization of the Ngaben Ceremony at the Denpasar Santhayana Crematorium. The essence of the crematorium cremation ceremony is the same as the conventional cremation ceremony, namely the process of returning all the elements in the human body to their origins in the universe, namely melting the human body called Panca Maha Bhuta Alit into Panca Maha Bhuta Agung through burning. The existence of the Santhayana Crematorium has the functions of Socio-Religious, Cultural Preservation, Transition to Modernization of Balinese Hindu Culture, Functions of Economic Management and Practical Religion. While the Implementation of the Modernization of the Ngaben Ceremony at the Denpasar Santhayana Crematorium has implications for Social Engineering, Community Economic Implications, Cultural Tourism, Tradition Implications, and Community Empowerment Implications.

Abstract

Purpose: The Pramana Watu Kurung is a local chain hotel under Pramana Hotels & Resorts. The promotional strategy online as well as offline to increase room sales. Data shows to see the revenue growth from 2018 to 2019 however, it is fall in 2020 due to the pandemic Covid-19, there was massive cancellation and drop the revenue due to Bali was start to lock down in March 2020. This study is aim to know the strategy applied to increase Room Sales at Pramana Watu Kurung in facing competition and developing business growth and to find alternative strategy to increase room sales at Pramana Watu Kurung.Methods: This study is quantitative and qualitative with the questionnaire on the likert scale. Its method uses SWOT analysis on IFAS and EFAS.Implication: Second  strategies to maximize the strengths in order to eliminate threats which is apply dynamic pricing tobe competitive against the competition and focus on the current target market. Second strategy is to maximize the opportunities to eliminate the weaknesses by an attractive promotion including packages, email marketing and seasonal campaign to push room sales.
