Abstract

Based on observations and interviews with one of physics tea-chers in Junior High School AlKautsar Bandar Lampung, that there is still value physical science students who have not passed. Physical science is one of those subjects that can not simply be transferred from the teacher to the student. This study aimed to determine the effect of learning activities and metacognition skills the results of physics students learn science through discovery learning method. The research using design one-shot case study. Based on the research that has been carried out, showing that there are significant positive linear and significant correlation between learning activities and metacognition skills on learning outcomes of physical science students.Berdasarkan hasil observasi dan wawancara dengan salah satu guru IPA fisika di SMP Al-Kautsar Bandar Lampung, bahwasanya masih ter-dapat nilai IPA fisika siswa yang belum mencapai KKM. Mata pelajaran IPA fisika adalah salah satu mata pelajaran yang tidak bisa ditransfer begitu saja dari piki-ran guru ke siswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh aktivitas belajar dan keterampilan metakonisi terhadap hasil belajar IPA fisika siswa mela-lui metode pembelajaran discovery. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain one-shot case study. Berdasarkan penelitian yang telah dilakukan, menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh linear yang positif dan signifikan antara aktivitas belajar dan keterampilan metakognisi terhadap hasil belajar IPA fisika.Kata kunci : aktivitas belajar, keterampilan metakognisi, dan hasil belajar.

Abstract

The purpose of this research to determine: (1) the influence of the metacognition skills of students are learning physics IPA by using discovery method; (2) the influence of the motivation learning of students are learning physics IPA by using discovery method; (3) the influence of the metacognition skills and motivation learning of students are learning physics IPA by using discovery method. The population is all of students in class VIII SMPN8 Bandar Lampung. The sample are students of class VIIIB amount 39 students. The sample class is selected by purposive sampling. Design of this research is one-shot case study. The results are: (1) there are influence of the metacognition skills of students are learning physics IPA by using discovery method and it contributed 15%; (2) there are influence of the motivation learning of students are learning physics IPA by using discovery method and it contributed 27%; (3) there are The influence of the metacognition skills and motivation learning of students are learning physics IPA by using discovery method and it contributed 32%.Kata kunci: hasil belajar, metakognisi, metode discovery, motivasi

Abstract

The purposes of this study to find out: (1) the influence of the student’s scientific attitude to the learning achievement of students through scaffolding-cooperative strategy; (2) the influence of the student’s scientific attitude to the learning independence of students through scaffolding-cooperative strategy. The population and the sample of this study are all students of XI IPA classroom of Tunas Harapan Bandar Lampung Senior High School in the second semester, and there are 20 students. Sample class is selected by purposive sampling. Design of this study is one-shot case study design. The results of this study are: (1) there is influence of the student’s scientific attitude to the learning achievement of students through scaffolding-cooperative strategy; (2) there is influence of the student’s scientific attitude to the learning independence of students through scaffolding-cooperative strategy. The average percentage of the student’s scientific attitude is 67% with the high category. The average value of the student learning is 66 with the high category. While, the average percentage of the student’s independence is 66% with the high category. Thus, the high of scientific attitude can affect the student’s learning achievement and student’s learning independence.Keyword: scientific attitude, learning achievement, learning independence, scaffolding-cooperative strategy.

Abstract

The purpose of the research is to determine the influence of metacognition skill towards ability to promote questions and critical thinking skill of junior high school students and the improvement of critical thinking skill. One shot case study design and one group pretest-posttest design have been conducted in the research to obtain the data. By using SPSS 17.0 Program showed that the data distributed normally and linearity. The hypotheses testing used correlation test, simple regression linear, and paired sample t-test. The result of this research showed that: 1) there was a positively and significant influence towards ability to promote questions amounted to 31% and the regressive equation ???? = 37,04 +0,53 ????; 2) there was a positive and significant influence towards critical thinking skill amounted to 24% and the regressive equation ???? = 28,40 +0,54 ????; 3) There is an significantly average improvement in junior high school student’s critical thinking skill caused by the influence of metacognition skill amounted to 22,00 with N-gain average critical thinking skill amounted to 0,70 in high category.Kata kunci: berpikir kritis, kemampuan bertanya, keterampilan metakognisi

Abstract

Physic teachers have used cooperative learning in the learning groups to teach the material. However, student mastery of physic is still relatively low. The cooperative learning is not maximized. It makes the mastering concept of the material becomes low. This study purposes to investigate the influence toward the critical thinking skills of the students' mastery through STAD cooperative learning. This study was conducted in class IXb SMP 5 Bandar Lampung which consists of 35 students in the second semester of academic year 2012/2013 and the material is about Magnetism. The sampling technique used is purposive sampling. The analysis showed that both data were distributed normal and linear. Furthermore, to examine the effect, the researcher did the correlation test and simple linear regression. The results of this study indicated that there was an influence of critical thinking skills to students' mastery of concepts by STAD cooperative learning. The determination coefficient’s value with the correlation coefficient is 0, 49 which was included in the medium category with the regression equation positif where a and b constants are significant coefficients. Abstract

The objective of this research is to find out the comparison of students’ natural science learning results in heat material using problem based learning and inquiry based learning, and to find out the highest learning results amongst problem based learning and inquiry based learning.This is a quasi experiment research with one-group pretest-post test design. Samples were 61 students in grade VII of classroom VIIA and VIIB in State Junior High School 22 in Bandar Lampung. Samples were taken using purposive sampling technique. Data were obtained from learning results of student’s post test. Data were analyzed using data normality test, estimating score N-gain, and dependent sample t-test.The results conclude that there is an improvement of average of students’ learning results by using problem based learning and inquiry based learning. The students learning results in problem based learning is higher than in inquiry based learning. The abilities of students having problem based learning are better than those who have inquiry based learning.Key words: Learning model problem based learning and guided inquiry

Abstract

The objectives of this research are to know: the positive influences the significances of metacognition toward the competence of the concepts of physics for senior high school by cooperative model with think pair share; are there positive influences and significances of metacognition skills toward critical thinking for senior high school students, by cooperative model with think pair share type. This research uses one-shot case study design. Those influences can be measured by holding final test or post test for the students after the learning process and metacognition skills, by cooperative learning model with think pair share type. The competence of physics concepts and critical thinking of metacognition skills of students were examined by regression test. Based on this research, can be concluded that: there are positive influences and significances of metacognition skills toward the competence of physics concepts through cooperative learning model with think pair share type; there are positive influences significances toward critical thinking of senior high school students by cooperative learning model with think pair share type. Abstract

Learning conventional always centered around teacher, impressed harm to the students especially of students which is more capable low visible tend more passive in learning, so necessary kind of classroom that can make students incentivized and the results of learning increase, that is learning cycle 5 phase.The study is done to know the effectivity of model learning lc5e consisting of 5 phase against the study result of the students. The purpose of this research was to determine the efficiency of LC5E learning model consisting of 5 phases of acquisition of student learning outcomes: ( 1 ) the difference average study result of the students who learning use the model of learning lc5e with conventional ( in ) ( 2 ) a model of learning more effective in increasing study result of the students in learning physics. The design of this research was using design one shot case study. Study result of the measured from value the evaluation posttest. Abstract

The success in the teaching learning process is influenced by the effectiveness of learning method which is able improve the student’s achievement. The objectives of this research were to find out the improvement of physic achievement between the students who are taught through learning cycle 5E and those who are taught through problem based learning, and to find out the different on the average score in learning physic between the students who are taught through learning cycle 5E and those who are taught through problem based learning. The research design was Non-Equivalent pretest-posttest design. The samples of this research were the students in the class X6 and X9. The samples were selected by using purposive sampling technique. Finally, based on the result, it can be concluded that,(1) There is an improvement of students achievement on the learning cycle 5E method, (2) There is an improvement of students achievement on the problem based learning, (3) There is a difference on the score in learning physic between the students who are thought trough learning cycle 5E and those who are taught through problem based learning.Keyword: Achievement, learning cycle 5E, Problem Based Learning

Abstract

Perception student is the perspective student to an object. on this research it is learning media. While the learning media is an important tool in learning a lesson. Current media usage has grown with the Technology Information and Communi-cation who gave birth media based computer, so it is necessary to develop media animation simulation. This research is done at SMA Persada Bandar Lampung, using a class that X.1 class with a sample population of 35 students from the class X. This research to determine the effect of perceptions student about media animation physics simulation to result learning. This research data perception students regarding media animation simulation physics used questionnaires completed by the students and the students have calculated the value of the end. As for the data result learning obtained from the test in the form of multiple choice questions that have been recapitulated in value. Then to examine the effect of the normality test, linearity, correlation and simple linear regression. Results of research based on the analysis of hypothesis testing are a very strong effect perception student about media animation simulation physics to result learning with the value of r is 0.996 with a positive direction and the regression equation is Y = 7.858 + 0.939 X on the material in class X.1 at SMA Persada Bandar Lampung.
