Abstract

The Influence of Tool Path Strategies; Raster and 3D Offset to Flatness and Parallelismof Product. Parallelism of two surfaces is one of geometrical tolerance that can measure after theirtolerances offlatness are known. The parallelism andflatness are two geometrical characters thatusually require bystandardizedplates ofmould. Tool path ofmilling machine ona surface plateis one ofthing that influences their character. In this paper, geometrical character offlat plane surface that hadbeen machined by raster tool path strategy and 3D offset strategy will be analyzed. The result ofexperiment can beusefor refinement ofmachining strategies toachieve an optimized machining.

Abstract

The weakness of a laser cutting edges product is tapering form. Sometime tapering is an unwantedperformance product and needfinishing processes to eliminate its. Setting ofparameters cutting can minimizetapering. Amodeling of process is needed to represent the relationship influence of each parameter cutting.But there are difficulties torepresent them tobemathematical models. The solutionfor this case is use one ofArtificial Neural Network (ANN) method what is called Back Propagation. This is an appropriate method toprocess input - output data to be a model process. The results show that the tapering is significantlyinfluenced by the parameters process, the nozzle speed andgas pressure, having the most significant effects.

Abstract

One of the references for selecting materials in designing a machine component is its mechanical property which is tensile strength. However, the current tensile strength from the materials used in 3D printing products has not been standardized due to many parameters in the design and process that affect them. The selection of correct design and process parameters may result in the proper mechanical properties and minimize the time and amount of materials used during the printing process. The parameters expected to affect the mechanical properties are density and infill pattern. This study was conducted to observe how far the effect of them on the mechanical properties of 3D printing product's tensile strength. The specimen standard of tensile strength used was ASTM D638, while the tested infill pattern was Grid, Triangles, and Tri-Hexagon patterns, with the percentage of total infill density of 20%, 40%, and 60%. PLA (Polylactic Acid) was chosen as the material used in this study. The 3D print machine operated was 3D Print MakerGear M2 with the tensile testing machine of HTE Hounsfield. The results of this study concluded that the percentage of infill density 20%, 40%, and 60% with different infill patterns had different tensile strengths. The specimen with a Tri-Hexagon infill pattern and 60% density had the biggest tensile strength value, followed by the Triangles infill pattern and the smallest one was the Grid pattern with 20% density.

Abstract

Various, different evaporator placements in a room have produced different airflow patterns, temperature distribution, and airflow velocities. In this study, the average room temperature and airflow velocity measured at 27 points of the CFD simulation for 4 positions of the planned evaporator placements were compared to determine the most ideal position based on the comfortable temperature and the maximum airflow velocity pursuant to the SNI 03-6572-2001 recommendation. On Position 1, two evaporators were given to the west wall. Position 2, two evaporators were placed on the south wall. On Position 3, two evaporators were given to the north wall. Moreover, on Position 4, two evaporators were placed opposite to each other where an evaporator was placed on the south wall, and the other evaporator was placed on the north wall. An ANSYS Fluent software was employed to make the CFD simulation. Based on the results of the study, it was found out that Position 2 was the most ideal evaporator placement position since it met the comfortable temperature limit and has the highest number of airflow velocity points meeting the recommended maximum airflow velocity pursuant to the SNI 03-6572-2001 recommendation.

Abstract

Peternakan ayam kampung merupakan salah satu usaha kecil yang dirintis oleh kelompok masyarakat di desa Waringin Sari Timur, Kecamatan Adi Luwih, Kabupaten Pring sewu, Propinsi Lampung Tengah. Saat ini masyarakatnya berkeinginan untuk meningkatkan potensi usaha yang dimiliki daerahnya. Usaha perkebunan, peternakan, dan perikanan merupakan bidang yang juga digarap selain juga akan mengembangkan potensi dibidang pariwisata. Penetasan telur ayam merupakan salah satu usaha yang dimaksudkan untuk memenuhi kebutuhan pasokan anak ayam bagi peternakan yang ada didesa Waringin Sari Timur. Mesin penetas telur ayam yang diperlukan untuk membantu mensukseskan menghasilkan anak ayam secara cepat dan tepat. Selain dari keberadaan mesin tersebut maka diperlukan juga langkah perawatan untuk menjaga keberlangsungan mesin penetas telur yang telah dibangun agar keberadaan anak ayam yang dihasilkan dari mesin tersebut dapat terjaga. Sehingga untuk kegiatan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat ini diselenggarakan kegiatan pendampingan bagi peternak agar dapat merawat mesin penetas telur sehingga terpenuhi kebutuhannya secara swadaya dari bahan yang mudah diperoleh di daerahnya.

Abstract

Indonesia is the largest batik-producing country in the world. The batik industry is growing rapidly in Indonesia, apart from having a positive impact, there is also a negative impact, namely environmental pollution in waterways and groundwater sources due to liquid waste resulting from batik production. This colored and smelly waste can cause allergies and damage the quality of groundwater which is also a source of drinking water for the surrounding community. Apart from treating wastewater using IPAL, another solution is for batik craftsmen to be motivated and raise awareness to use natural, environmentally friendly dyes. This is what prompted the PKM activity "Training on Making Natural Batik Dye Using a Multifunctional Mixer Machine for Bekasi Batik MSMEs". In terms of quality, batik with natural dyes has a higher value than batik using synthetic dyes. Economically, there is still a large market for environmentally friendly batik, especially from customers who are environmentally conscious both at home and abroad. The method for making natural dyes, which used to be boiled using just a pan, will be improved by using a multi-function stirring machine, making it more productive, efficient, and hygienic so that natural dyes are not easily damaged. The manufacturing process time can also be shorter so that the overall production time is not disrupted. Increasing the awareness and ability of craftsmen in processing natural dyes is expected to also improve the quality of batik products and the environment around the production site. In the end, it is hoped that an increase in craftsmen's business will occur

Abstract

Maintenance planning is the first step in an industry, especially when it comes to the trade-off between cost and reliability, which is the reason for this research's aim. The Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) method will be used in this research to optimize maintenance activity in critical machines at the Sabiz 1 plant to minimize downtime, costs incurred for machine repairs, and production losses. The tools of RCM that will be used such as FMEA to determine critical machines as the focus of analysis, a Fishbone Diagram to determine the causes of failure, an RCM worksheet to get preventive activities, and a statistical distribution approach to obtain appropriate preventive activity intervals. The result of data processing shows that all data has a lognormal distribution and can be continued using the lognormal distribution method. The results of this analysis are the preventive maintenance activities proposal and their intervals as a reference for Sabiz 1 plant maintenance planning. The preventive maintenance plan for three critical machines is the high-pressure pump is four days of inspection activities and two days for replacement activities; for the powder, base conveyor is four days of checking activities and 17 days for replacement activities; and for the extraction tower fan for inspection, activities is seven days. The prediction of the implementation impact of this maintenance planning will save maintenance costs around 70% compared to historical costs.

Abstract

Kitakyushu Islamic Cultural Center (KICC) adalah sebuah fasilitas yang berfungsi untuk melayani komunitas Muslim di Kota Kitakyushu, Jepang. Fasilitas ini menyediakan ruangan untuk beribadah, pertemuan komunitas, aktivitas pembelajaran dan pertukaran budaya. Kegiatan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat ini bertujuan agar komunitas Muslim lokal dan pendatang di Kota Kitakyushu dapat mengenal konsep eco-masjid dan kemudian menerapkan konsep tersebut dalam praktik sehari-hari di KICC sehingga dapat menjadi pelopor untuk menerapkan konsep eco-masjid di fasilitas-fasilitas masjid lainnya di negara Jepang. Sebelum waktu pelaksanaan, materi yang akan disampaikan dalam kegiatan PkM di Masjid Kota Kitakysuhu telah dipersiapkan dalam bentuk power point yang kemudian dicetak dalam ukuran A4.  Penyampaian materi dilakukan dengan konsep tutorial dan diskusi dengan penyuluh memperlihatkan lembar materi kepada para peserta PkM. Materi yang disiapkan terkait dengan pengenalan konsep eco-masjid kepada para peserta PkM. Kegiatan penyuluhan yang berupa pengenalan konsep eco-masjid ini dapat dianggap berhasil karena munculnya antusias dari para peserta untuk memberikan opini dan pemikiran terkait konsep eco-masjid ini selama proses diskusi, terutama peserta dari negara Malaysia dan warga Jepang itu sendiri. Konsep eco-masjid ini diakui oleh para peserta yaitu komunitas Muslim lokal dan pendatang sebagai konsep ramah lingkungan yang belum dilegitimasi secara aktual di negara Jepang. Para peserta mengharapkan konsep eco-masjid ini dapat serta merta menjadi praktik yang umum di negara Jepang dan negara peserta lainnya seperti Malaysia.

Abstract

Improving the level of training and ability of educators to create technology-integrated instruction has become important in the current digital age, especially at Sekolah Indonesia Johor Bahru (SIJB) and Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Permas Jaya 2 (SMK Permas Jaya 2) in Malaysia. Making the best use of social media and digital apps in their teaching and learning processes presents difficulties for both institutions. Thirteen teachers from SMK Permas Jaya 2 and ten from SIJB participated in this community service program, which aimed to enhance their knowledge and practical abilities in using digital and artificial intelligence (AI) programs such Canva, ChatGPT, Perplexity, Grammarly, and Book Creator. Pretest and post test assessments were used in conjunction with lessons, discussions, demonstrations, and practical exercises. According to pretest results, the majority of teachers understood digital literacy at a moderate level, but they still lacked the practical abilities to use digital apps. The majority of teachers advanced to the "good" and "excellent" categories in terms of their proficiency with these programs and their ability to produce interactive digital learning resources after the mentoring sessions, indicating a notable improvement. Teachers' successful integration of digital resources into their classroom instruction is proof of the program's tangible impact, as demonstrated by improved practical skills. Direct mentoring helped solve a number of technical challenges that arose during practice. All things considered, this digital literacy mentoring program successfully increased the ability of teachers at both schools, especially when it came to using technology to produce more engaging and creative learning environments. It is advised that similar initiatives be maintained, emphasizing more advanced instruction and better technology infrastructure.
