Abstract

Identify pattern of water consumption in three apartment in Jakarta. Observation has done on water meter for 24 hours in 7 days. The first apartment is Casablanca Mansion Apartment with 34 floors and 2 basement which total rooms are 594 units; the second is Semanggi Apartment with 25 floors and 2 basement which total rooms are 349 units; and the third is Golf Pondok Indah Apartment with 19 floors and 2 basement which total rooms are 115 units. In these apartments, peak hour of working days is at 7-8 am with the total water consumption in working days is higher than holidays. Factor peak hours for the apartments are 1,43 – 2,10; 1,39 – 1,88; 1,35 – 2,02, respectively, which these values are higher than factor peak hours in urban (1,1 – 1,75). Factor maximum days are 1,10; 1,06; 1,06, respectively, which these values are closed with factor maximum days in urban (1,1 – 1,3). These symptoms are related with kind of activity in apartments that tends to similar, which is settlement (domestic). Generally, the values of these factors at Casablanca Mansion Apartment are higher than 2 other apartments, since its occupant is dominantly Indonesian. Abstract in Bahasa Indonesia:Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengetahui pola pemakaian air bersih di apartemen dengan studi kasus tiga apartemen di Jakarta. Pengamatan dilakukan terhadap water meter air selama 24 jam dalam 7 hari berturut-turut. Apartemen pertama adalah Apartemen Casablanca Mansion dengan 34 lantai dan 2 basement serta total kamar 594 unit; kedua adalah Apartemen Semanggi dengan 25 lantai dan 2 basement serta total kamar 349 unit; ketiga adalah Apartemen Golf Pondok Indah dengan 19 lantai dan 2 basement serta total kamar 115 unit. Hasil pengamatan di ketiga apartemen menunjukkan bahwa jam puncak pada hari kerja terjadi pada jam 07.00 – 08.00 wib dan jumlah pemakaian air total per hari pada hari kerja lebih tinggi dibandingkan pada hari libur. Faktor jam puncak untuk ketiga apartemen, berturut-turut adalah 1,43 – 2,10; 1,39 – 1,88; 1,35 – 2,02; dimana nilai tersebut lebih tinggi daripada nilai faktor jam puncak perkotaan (1,1 – 1,75). Adapun faktor hari maksimum untuk ketiga apartemen berturut-turut 1,10; 1,06; 1,06; dimana nilai tersebut mendekati nilai terkecil dari nilai faktor hari maksimum perkotaan (1,1 – 1,3). Hal ini berhubungan dengan jenis aktivitas di apartemen yang cenderung seragam, yaitu hunian (domestik). Secara umum apartemen Casablanca Mansion memiliki nilai faktor lebih tinggi dibandingkan kedua apartemen lain karena perbedaan budaya penghuni ketiga apartemen tersebut, dimana apartemen Casablanca Mansion banyak dihuni WNI, sedangkan kedua apartemen lain banyak dihuni WNA.

Abstract

Research has conducted as an alternative form of advanced treatment in order to eliminate copper (Cu2+) heavy metal contained in electroplating industrial wastewater. The process is conducted biologically by utilizing the ability of mixed cultures of freshwater microalgae immobilized. The purpose of this study was to determine the removal efficiency for copper (Cu2+) using microalgae single and microalgae cultures mixed, determine the removal efficiency for copper (Cu2+) using mixed cultures microalgae which immobilized by alginate, and determine the influence of temperature and initial concentration of wastewater on the efficiency removal of copper metal (Cu2+) by mixed cultures of the immobilized microalgae. Microalgae are isolated from Setiabudi Reservoir, and purified in order to obtain Ankistrodesmus sp and Chlorella sp. These biosorbents then immobilized by adding alginate to form beads with a diameter of ± 0.5 cm. Artificial biosorbent cultivated in a growth medium Phovasoli Haematococcus Medium (PHM) in a series of batch cultures. The study consisted of three phases, namely the determination of biosorbent mobile and immobilized, optimization of temperature variations (25oC, 30oC and 35oC), and optimization of the initial concentration of wastewater (3 mg/l, 5 mg/l, 10 mg/ l, 15 mg/ l, and 15 mg l) at pH 4 and 120 minutes contact time. These used biosorbent was a single microalgae Ankistrodesmus sp and Chlorella sp and mixed cultures consisting of microalgae Ankistrodesmus sp and Chlorella sp with 1:1 ratio. The results prove that the removal efficiency for copper (Cu2+) by mixed cultures of microalgae was higher than either mobile or single immobilized. Copper (Cu2+) removal efficiency was proof depend on temperature process and the initial concentration of the wastewater. The optimal removal of copper (Cu2+) with immobilized biosorbent occurred at 30 °C with an initial concentration of waste by 17.808 mg /l with a value of 82.54% ± 0.11 for Ankistrodesmus sp; 83.66% ± 0.15 for Chlorella sp; and 86.39% ± 0.34 for a mixed cultures.

Abstract

Grey water atau air yang ditimbulkan dari kegiatan mandi dan cuci merupakan proporsi terbesar dalam air limbah domestik. Pada umumnya, grey water secara langsung melewati saluran drainase tanpa pengolahan terlebih dahulu dan masuk ke Sungai Ciliwung, sehingga menyebabkan penurunan kualitas air sungai. Tujuan penelitian untuk menganalisis kadar pencemaran air pada sistem drainase, di 6 kelurahan pada segmen 2 Sungai Ciliwung (Kota Bogor). Parameter yang dianalisis adalah TSS, BOD, COD, dan Total Coliform yang dibandingkan dengan 2 baku mutu yakni berdasarkan Peraturan Menteri Lingkungan Hidup No.68 tahun 2016 dan Peraturan Pemerintah No.82 tahun 2001. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan pada pagi dan sore hari yang dianggap mewakili jam puncak timbulnya air limbah domestik. Hasil analisis menunjukkan parameter TSS berkisar 0,004-0,835 mg/L, BOD 184,260-89791,670 mg/L, COD 25,600-528,000 mg/L, dan Total Coliform 8,350x105-4,380x108 jumlah/100 mL. Parameter TSS di seluruh titik pengambilan sampel tidak melebihi baku mutu. Adapun parameter BOD dan COD ditemukan melebihi baku mutu pada titik Sukasari dan Babakan Pasar 2. Khusus parameter Total Coliform, ditemukan melebihi 3x104 jumlah/100mL di seluruh titik. Tingginya parameter BOD, COD, dan Total Coliform menunjukkan ada kecenderungan pencemaran oleh limbah domestik baik grey water maupun black water.

Abstract

Perencanaan Bangunan Pengolahan Air Minum Kecamatan Bekasi Timur, Kota Bekasi, Jawa Barat (6°15’40.143”S, 107°1’4.968”E) ini bertujuan untuk memenuhi kebutuhan air masyarakat Kecamatan Mustika Jaya. Saat ini kebutuhan air di Kecamatan Mustika Jaya dipenuhi dari air tanah atau sumur yang masih kurang terjaga kualitas dan kuantitasnya. Sumber air baku diambil dari Saluran Irigasi Tarum Barat. Metode evaluasi yang digunakan adalah evaluasi multi kriteria. Metode ini digunakan untuk membandingkan beberapa alternatif sekaligus memilih alternatif terbaik. Kriteria desain perencanaandiperoleh dengan membandingkan melalui evaluasi IPA setara. Hasil perencanaan dengan kapasitas produksi IPA sebesar 300 L/detik adalah unit pengolahan terdiri dari bangunan Intake, Cascade Aerator, Koagulasi, Flokulasi, Sedimentasi, Filtrasi dan Reservoir. Rencana anggaran biaya untuk pembangunan unit IPA rencana adalah sebesar Rp. 4.149.462.423,- atau Rp. 13.831.541,- per L/detik.Kata Kunci : air, bangunan pengolahan air minum, mustika jaya, perencanaan

Abstract

Kesehatan lingkungan adalah elemen yang sangat penting dalam kaitannya dengan potensi penyebaran penyakit terutama di era pandemi Covid-19 bila kondisi lingkungan tidak layak. Melalui pengelolaan lingkungan yang baik disertai dengan edukasi yang rutin dan kontinyu pada lingkungan, maka sekolah berasrama dapat menjadi contoh penerapan pengelolaan kesehatan lingkungan yang baik. Melalui kegiatan penyuluhan ini, Tim Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat Program Studi Teknik Lingkungan dan Arsitektur Lanskap bertujuan untuk mengedukasi sivitas akademika SMAN CMBBS agar dapat meningkatakan kesadaran dalam memenuhi fasilitas dasar yang layak dan penerapan pola kesehatan lingkungan yang terpadu dengan menerapkan perilaku hidup bersih dan sehat (PHBS). Metode yang digunakan adalah penyuluhan materi edukasi dan poster melalui seminar daring menggunakan media tatap muka daring (video conference). Sebanyak 48,1% responden peserta penyuluhan ini belum memiliki kesiapan untuk memulai kembali sekolah tatap muka karena belum adanya persiapan matang dari pihak sekolah terkait sistem pengelolaan kesehatan lingkungan terpadu terutama tentang PHBS untuk mencegah terbentuknya klaster pandemi. Kegiatan penyuluhan tentang lingkungan yang berdampak pada Kesehatan ini sangat bermanfaat dalam membuka wawasan dan kesadaran sivitas akedemika CMBBS untuk menghadapi dimulainya proses belajar tatap muka di kelas.

Abstract

Abstract. Greywater generated from household activities in the riverbanks settlement is flowed directly into the drainage system. This research was conducted to analyze the level of pollution due to greywater flowed into drainage system in Citarum riverbanks, Kabupaten Karawang. Research was carried out on the drainage channel around settlements in 6 villages. The parameters analyzed were TSS, COD, BOD, Oil and Grease compared to the standard Minister of Environment Regulation No.68 of 2016. The TSS parameters was 11-292 mg/L, COD 28.8-441.6 mg/L, BOD 18.01-298.36 mg/L, Oil and Grease 1.9-13 mg/L. Parameter of TSS at all sampling points were exceed the quality standard, while parameters of COD and  BOD were exceed in the 4 villages. Parameter of Oil and Grease at all points was above the quality standard in February, while in April, it was below the quality standard. High pollution on drainage system could be caused by the entry of greywater into the drainage channel that would contribute to pollute the Citarum River. This was occurs due to low level of knowledge and awareness in communities about pollution in the riverbanks and that there was not a proper treatment of greywater, whether in scale of household nor communal. Keywords: greywater, drainage system, Citarum River, riverbank, water quality

Abstract

The Effects of Influent Debit on Hydrodynamic Characteristic of Bojongsoang Facultative Pond: Without Wind Effects. The performance of facultative pond in Bojongsoang WWTP have reported to be unstable. One of the cause of the unstable performance is the hydrodynamic characteristics that not met the criterion. The improper hydrodynamic characteristics are included the existence of dead-zone, the short-circuiting, and the turbulence due to eddy current. The study was to analyze the effect of the influent debit variation on the hydrodynamic characteristics of the pond using mathematical model. The two-dimensional hydrodynamic model was built from two hydrodynamic equations which are continuity and momentum equations. The equations were solved by finite-difference numerical method of semi-implicit (Crank-Nicolson). From the simulation results, the Froude number of the water flow was analyzed. Beside that, the effective residence time and the effective area were calculated. All of them were done to analyzed the existence of the dead-zone in the pond. The simulation results show that the dead-zone was exist in the center of the pond. when the influent debit was larger, the effective residence time and the effective area become larger. The distribution of the Froude number value shows that the area with the value of 10-10 become reduced in the larger influent debit. The existence of the dead-zone was reduced since the influent debit become larger. It can be said that the larger influent debit can improve the hydrodynamic characteristics of the pond.

Abstract

The community development conducted is the Training of waste water management (color and hazardous waste) of screen printing home industri in “Krendang Kelurahan”, Tambora District, West Jakarta, which aims to provide training and demonstration to screen printing home industri sothat the liquid waste generated from industrial activities can be handled properly and will not cause environmental problems when discharged into the environment. Waste management is also expected to not butden the business actors about cost and time, so that screen printing businesses are able to do the management themselve. The method used is initial research on the characteristics of screen printing waste, testing in the laboratory in determining the dosage and residence time needed in treating the waste, designing simple processing equipment, training in handling liquid waste printing, and demonstrating the screen printing waste treadment in one of thr screen  printing home industri. From the results of laboratory tests and simple installation designs, the optimal conditions for the screen printing waste treadment unit are coagulation and mechanical flocculation units, and preparations unit, witch is carried out in 1 tub with a dose of Alum 45 mg/l.
