CDMA technique has been successfully employed to implement high capacity mobile networks with optimum channel bandwidth utilization. The two most coveted criteria for the spreading codes used in such network are, the number of codes in the set and the code orthogonality, in order to ensure accommodation of large number of users and as well as minimal interference between the users. Walsh code has proved to be a popular orthogonal code, whereas m-sequence, Gold code and Kasami code have established themselves as popular non-orthogonal binary codes. Small set Orthogonal Kasami code has been proposed and evaluated by researchers for CDMA applications. In this paper the authors report the design of hybrid orthogonal large set (HOLS) code for synchronous CDMA systems. The HOLS code was evaluated in a synchronous CDMA system over different channel conditions. The authors also demonstrate that the BER performance of the HOLS code is comparable to that of the existing orthogonal codes, but outperforms Gold and large set Kasami code sequences. The HOLS code sequence is also shown to outperform the existing code sequences in the number of cells it can support. In terms of multiple access interference (MAI), the cross-correlation function (CCF) of the HOLS code sequence is comparable to that of Walsh and orthogonal small set Kasami codes, and much better than those of Gold and large set Kasami code sequences. HOLS code sequence has comparable auto-correlation function (ACF) with that of Gold, large set Kasami and orthogonal small set Kasami code sequences and a much better ACF than that of Walsh code sequence.

Remote control switching system is used to control the switching of the electrical and electronic appliances from a distance. This remote serves to facilitate the use of the switching of electrical, and electronic appliances for people with disabilities, and the elderly. This paper develops a remote control system using radio frequency technology utilizing the principle of wireless system. The remote control system is constructed by RF433 module as the transmitter, and receiver, IC HT12E module as the encoder, and IC HT12D module as the decoder. To achieve the aim of this research: a transmitter system is designed to transmit a signal when the keypad is pressed; a receiver system is designed to receive the signal from the transmitter system, then the system will turn on and turn off the loads. Based on experimental results, this design system is capable to turn on and turn off the loads with a transmission distance up to 18 meters, without obstruction, and 15 meters with obstruction.

The characteristics of wireless channel are determined by multipath propagation. The transmitted signal will be scattered so that it produces fading. Fading influenced by multipath component will cause delay spread which damages the signal. Thus, spread spectrum technology is used by using a bandwidth that is greater than the original signal. The objective of this study was to determine the effect of the number of multipath components on orthogonal variable spreading factor (OVSF) codes on multipath fading channels viewed from values and Bit Error Rate (BER) graphs versus Energy Bits per Noise (Eb/No). This study would compare the performance of OVSF code communication system on multipath channels by varying multipath components of 4, 8, 12, 16 and the length of OVSF codes used of 16, 8 and 4. The simulation results showed an increase in BER values when the number of multipath components was added. The more the number of multipath components used, the more the number of reflected signals that will interfere with the desired signal in the receiver. The length of the OVSF code influences the performance of the OVSF code on the multipath fading channel, because each code has a different processing gain value that is affected by the length of the code used

Multiple Input Multiple Output (MIMO) technology is a technique that can be used to overcome multipath fading. The multipath fading is caused by signals coming from several paths that experience different attenuations, delays and phases. In a multipath condition, an impulse that sent by the transmitter, will be received by the recipient not as an impulse but as a pulse with a spread width that called delay spread. Delay spread can cause intersymbol interference (ISI) and bit translation errors from the information received. To determine the effect of delay spread on the MIMO system, then MIMO system performance research was performed on flat fading and frequency selective fading channels using the Space Time Block Code (STBC) coding technique. This research was conducted using MatLab 2018a software. The simulation results show that the MIMO STBC system performance on flat fading channels is better than the MIMO STBC system performance on the frequency selective fading channel. This result is analyzed based on the value of BER vs. Eb/No and eye diagram.

This paper investigates clipping and filtering techniques in reducing peak average power ratio (PAPR) of Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM) system. The concept of OFDM is to split a high speed serial data into parallel data at a lower speed, then the parallel data carried by mutually orthogonal subcarriers. The high of PAPR is one of disadvantages of OFDM system. The high PAPR can damages the form of OFDM and reduces its performance. The purpose of this study is to reduce PAPR using simulation. OFDM was simulated with and without clipping filtering then compared. The methods used to reduce PAPR was clipping and filtering technique. Clipping and filtering technique operates by clipping the output of inverse Fourier transform that exceed the threshold. Graphics PAPR vs. CCDF was used to evaluate the performance of OFDM systems. PAPR for OFDM system using Fourier transform when CCDF = 10-3 is 11,2 dB, with classical clipping PAPR was 4,1 dB and PAPR 4,6 dB when with deep clipping.

The Healthy Indonesia Program with the Family Approach aims to improve the quality of human life and is a government program that starts from the family environment. There are 12 indicators marking the health status of a family. The Provincial Government of Bali in implementing the 12 indicators there are two main problems of non-communicable diseases, namely patients with hypertension and smoking behavior. An analysis in the form of classification and prediction is needed to overcome these problems. Classification and prediction is one of the techniques in data mining. Through R, a decision tree can be produced which can be used to help the classification process and produce predictions related to the problem of non-communicable diseases. The decision tree results can be predicted that the dominant hypertension are in the age group classification of 20-40 years and 41-70 years with a probability of 0.14. As for smoking behavior, the highest smoking tendency was obtained in the classification of male sex whose status worked with a probability of 0.44.
