Abstract

Insecure attachment to parents can cause many problems in adolescents, one of which is Non-Suicidal Self-Injury (NSSI) behavior. This research aims to determine the effect of REACH forgiveness therapy on the attachment dimensions of adolescents with NSSI behavior. This research uses an experimental method with a single group pretest-posttest design. The research subjects were 3 people, still attending junior high school, and all three of them were doing NSSI due to insecure attachment to their parents. The research results obtained showed that there was no significant influence from REACH forgiveness therapy on the attachment dimensions of adolescents with NSSI behavior, but forgiveness therapy had a relatively moderate impact on the three subjects. Another finding obtained was that the three subjects no longer engaged in NSSI due to insecure attachment with their parents.

Abstract

Work-life balance is a critical factor influencing employee well-being, job satisfaction, and workforce retention. This study explores the systemic challenges associated with work-life balance, particularly in high-pressure professions such as healthcare. A systematic literature review was conducted using Scopus, Google Scholar, and PubMed to analyze research related to work-life balance, occupational stress, and employee support systems. The findings reveal a strong correlation between institutional policies, organizational culture, and the prevalence of burnout, with gender disparities playing a significant role in work-life integration challenges. Empirical evidence highlights that professionals in developed nations benefit from structured workplace policies, while employees in developing regions face more significant work-life conflicts due to limited institutional support. Organizational flexibility, mental health resources, and gender-equitable policies emerge as crucial factors in mitigating these challenges. Addressing work-life balance requires strategic interventions, including promoting workplace flexibility, enhancing mental health initiatives, and fostering cultural shifts that support work-life integration. This study underscores the necessity for continued research on long-term policy effectiveness and the impact of emerging workplace technologies on work-life balance. By implementing structured and inclusive policies, organizations can create a sustainable and productive workforce that benefits both employees and institutions.

Abstract

Loneliness and social isolation have gained increasing attention as significant public health concerns, exacerbated by the COVID-19 pandemic. This study explores the psychological, social, and demographic dimensions of loneliness, emphasizing its impact on mental health and well-being. A systematic literature review was conducted using multiple academic databases, including PubMed, Scopus, and Web of Science. The findings confirm that loneliness is strongly associated with depression, anxiety, and psychological distress, with young women and older adults being particularly vulnerable. Digital technology has played a dual role, offering both social support and, in some cases, reinforcing social disconnection. Regional disparities highlight that economic insecurity and limited healthcare access further exacerbate social isolation in developing nations. The discussion emphasizes the importance of targeted policy interventions, including community-based programs, mental health integration into primary healthcare, and public awareness campaigns. Technology should be used strategically to enhance social connectivity rather than replace face-to-face interactions. The study identifies key research gaps, such as the need for longitudinal studies to assess the long-term impact of loneliness and intervention effectiveness. Future research should explore the intersection of loneliness with socioeconomic determinants to develop holistic, evidence-based strategies for mitigating its effects. Addressing loneliness requires a multifaceted, collaborative approach integrating social, economic, and technological solutions to enhance overall well-being.

Abstract

Parenting and child welfare are influenced by a complex interplay of socioeconomic, psychological, and cultural factors. This study examines the impact of financial stability, parental mental health, and cultural influences on child development, emphasizing the importance of systemic interventions in mitigating challenges faced by families. A comprehensive literature review was conducted using Scopus, Google Scholar, and PubMed, focusing on empirical studies from the past five years. Key findings indicate that financial hardship exacerbates parental stress, leading to diminished child welfare outcomes, while parental mental health significantly affects parenting efficacy. Cultural contexts play a crucial role in shaping parenting practices, necessitating culturally responsive interventions. Effective solutions include peer support programs, economic assistance, and the integration of mental health services into family support frameworks. Despite the progress in research, gaps remain in understanding the long-term effects of interventions, the role of digital parenting support, and the challenges faced by diverse family structures. Policy recommendations include expanding financial aid, fostering multi-sectoral collaboration, and enhancing access to culturally adapted parenting programs. Future studies should focus on longitudinal research to assess intervention effectiveness and explore innovative solutions for improving child welfare globally. This research underscores the urgency of implementing comprehensive strategies to enhance parenting practices and promote child well-being in diverse socio-economic and cultural contexts.

Abstract

Indonesia’s persistent challenges in educational quality, highlighted by low PISA 2022 scores, have prompted the need to foster student centered learning environments that promote self directed learning (SDL). This study investigates the relationship between learning motivation and SDL among 150 junior secondary students from three public schools in Bengkulu, Indonesia. Utilizing a cross sectional correlational design, data were collected using validated scales: the Learning Motivation Scale and the Self Directed Learning Scale. Descriptive analyses indicated that most students were classified within the moderate range for both motivation and SDL. Assumption tests confirmed normality and linearity, allowing the use of Pearson’s correlation. Results showed a strong, positive, and statistically significant relationship between learning motivation and SDL (r = 0.784, p < 0.001). Discussion of findings emphasized the role of intrinsic motivation, contextual factors such as parental occupation and technology access, and the potential of project based learning models to enhance student autonomy. These insights suggest that interventions targeting motivational climates and resource availability can strategically foster SDL in junior secondary education. Future studies are encouraged to employ longitudinal methodologies to better understand the dynamic interplay between motivation and self regulated learning behaviors.

Abstract

To reduce academic procrastination, students need confidence in their ability to face problems and take the actions needed to complete tasks to get the expected results. Solomon and Rothblum (1984) define academic procrastination as the postponement of important academic tasks, such as preparing for exams, completing assignments, taking care of university administration and attending classes. To reduce academic procrastination, self-efficacy is needed to cope with problems and take the necessary steps to complete the task and achieve the desired results (Bandura, 1997). In their research, Klassen et al (2008) found that low self-regulatory self-efficacy predicts high academic procrastination. Individuals with low self-regulatory learning tend to procrastinate, as self-regulatory ability is an important factor affecting the emergence of procrastination behavior in students (Steel, 2007). The results of this study show that self-regulated learning has an important role that is negative, with the understanding that the large role of self-regulated learning has an impact on reducing the level of academic procrastination, and the low role of self-regulated learning has an impact on increasing academic procrastination.

Abstract

Mental health remains a critical global concern, particularly in settings where structural and social disparities limit access to appropriate care. This narrative review aims to examine the effectiveness of social support interventions—both interpersonal and community-based—in promoting mental well-being and reducing psychological distress. Using an integrative approach, literature was collected from academic databases such as Scopus and Google Scholar, utilizing key terms including "social support," "mental health interventions," and "community engagement." Studies meeting inclusion criteria featured diverse methodologies and participant populations across multiple geographic contexts. The results demonstrate that interpersonal support, particularly from partners and family members, significantly improves psychological outcomes by reducing symptoms of depression and anxiety, enhancing emotional regulation, and fostering cognitive resilience. Community-level interventions, especially those grounded in participatory models, were shown to increase mental health literacy, combat stigma, and facilitate access to care. However, systemic barriers such as poverty, discrimination, and healthcare inequity continue to undermine these efforts, particularly in low-resource settings. The discussion suggests that addressing mental health requires a multi-level response integrating interpersonal, communal, and policy-based strategies. The review advocates for culturally adapted, inclusive, and sustainable mental health programs, supported by strong policy frameworks and local engagement. By emphasizing social connectedness and institutional support, these interventions offer a promising pathway toward resilient mental health systems worldwide.

Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic placed unprecedented pressures on global healthcare systems, particularly frontline workers. This study examines how psychological safety influences team performance through the mediating roles of communication satisfaction and mental health among Indonesian healthcare professionals. A mixed methods approach involving surveys with 177 workers and interviews with 27 participants revealed that psychological safety significantly predicted team performance, partly through communication and well-being. Respondents frequently reported moderate quality of life, with qualitative findings highlighting fear of infection, communication challenges, emotional strain, and supportive peer dynamics. These results underscore the need to embed psychological safety frameworks into crisis protocols, ensuring effective communication, mental health support, and responsive leadership. The study proposes a multi-level model contextualized within Indonesian healthcare that offers practical strategies for improving team performance in resource-limited environments.
