Abstract

Abstract

Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) is a persistent abnormality in kidney function or structure, with or without a decline in glomerular filtration rate (GFR) below 60 mL/min/1.73 m², lasting for more than three months. CKD diagnosis relies on markers of kidney damage and/or a reduction in GFR. Patients with advanced CKD, characterized by a GFR below 15 mL/min/1.73 m², typically require dialysis. In 2018, 60,852 individuals in Indonesia were reported to have CKD requiring lifelong dialysis. This study aims to assess the characteristics of CKD patients undergoing hemodialysis. This research employs descriptive design. The sample consists of all CKD patients undergoing hemodialysis, as recorded in the medical records of RSPAL dr. Ramelan Surabaya between January and June 2022. The findings reveal that more than half of the patients (52.7%) had been on hemodialysis for more than 12 months. Many of the patients (66.2%) were between 40 and 60 years old, with males accounting for 54.1% of the sample. Hypertension and diabetes mellitus were identified as the most common comorbid conditions (31.1%), while pain medication consumption was the least reported cause (2.7%). All patients had hemoglobin levels below the normal range (<13 g/dL for males and <12 g/dL for females) and relied on BPJS (Indonesia’s national health insurance) to cover the cost of hemodialysis. Furthermore, most patients exhibited creatinine levels exceeding 1.5 mg/dL, blood urea nitrogen (BUN) levels above 24 mg/dL, serum iron (SI) levels between 45 and 158 µg/dL, and total iron-binding capacity (TIBC) levels below 250 µg/dL.

Abstract

Physiological fluor albus, or normal vaginal discharge, is a common phenomenon experienced by women, playing a role in maintaining vaginal cleanliness and moisture. However, limited public understanding often leads to misconceptions and inappropriate management. This study aims to analyze comprehensive midwifery care in a case of physiological fluor albus in Nn. A 16 years old using an intervention of red betel leaf decoction at Puskesmas Tanjung Kerang, Musi Banyuasin, South Sumatera. The study employed a case study method with a descriptive qualitative approach. Data were collected through interviews, SOAP (Subjective, Objective, Assessment, Plan) assessment, observation, and documentation. Interventions included reproductive health education, improved personal hygiene, the use of red betel leaf decoction as a natural antiseptic, recommendations for a nutritious diet, and psychological support. The results indicated that the intervention effectively reduced complaints of vaginal discharge and improved the patient's understanding and healthy habits. The use of red betel leaf decoction proved safe, accessible, and effective in managing physiological fluor albus. This study highlights the importance of local wisdom-based midwifery care approaches in enhancing women's quality of life, especially in rural areas with limited access to healthcare services.

Abstract

Music is one of the business opportunities within the creative industry, and the number of music schools is rapidly increasing in major urban areas. The City of Oulu in Finland has various music school providers that use websites as digital portals of information about their schools. Given the critical role of persuasive websites in marketing, this study aims to evaluate the websites of private music school providers in Oulu, with a persuasive system approach. To achieve this objective, a content analysis was conducted on fifteen websites and studied how they influence their users persuasively. Our method analyzes the website using a checklist-based approach grounded in the Persuasive System Design model, which comprises 28 principles categorized into four groups, namely: Primary Task Support, Dialogue Support, System Credibility Support, and Social Support. The analysis revealed that implementation of persuasive principles was uneven across the website, with the following average application rates per category: 28.57% (Primary Task Support), 28.57% (Dialogue Support), 38.10% (System Credibility Support), and 9.52% (Social Support). Several providers have applied the Persuasive System Design model according to each category, but not optimally. These findings suggest that there is still considerable room for improvement in the websites of private music schools through an optimally persuasive approach to support and motivate users to access information. The implication can encourage providers to optimize their website persuasively, engaging a broader audience and serving users properly.
