Abstract

Lesson plans is the most important component in preparing a quality learning. Teachers’ low understanding on pedagogical content knowledge affects their skills in designing learning. It needs serious effort to equip future teachers with pedagogical content knowledge to produce professional teachers. The aim of this study is to increase the engagement and skills of future teachers in designing lesson plans using module based on pedagogical content knowledge. College-students engagement indicators are adopted from Students Engagement Instrument (SEI)-Appleton, Christenson, Kim, and Reschly, consisting of affective and cognitive engagement. The skill in question are the ability to writing the subject’s identity, writing competencies, formulating indicators, compiling teaching materials, designing media, choosing learning method, compiling learning scenarios, as well as designing assessment. This research is a classroom action research that is designed in two cycles of learning with the number of respondents is 73 college-students. Each learning cycle is consisting of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The data collection techniques was self-report, observation, portfolios, interviews, field notes, and study documentation. Descriptive statistics were used to analyse the quantitative data, whereas qualitative data were analysed by qualitative analysis of Miles and Hubberman model. The results showed that the PCK-based module is able to increase college-students engagement and ability in designing a lesson plan.

Abstract

The purpose of this paper to explain the happiness learning model indeveloping student’s potential. Every human being has the potential in their self. the potential of the human being developed through an optimal education. Currently, the applied education focuses more on student learning or student center. Implementation of student center learning will right facilitate students in learning. This is because the student center learning in accordance with the needs of students and focuses on the students themselves. However, in the learning process of the student is not just learning ordinary or just formality, but need psychological attention from the students themselves. During the learning process, students also need to feel excited and happy to learn something. Happiness learning is learning to build a mentally healthy, pleasant surroundings and so forth. Thus, students are not only focused on the subject matter but also enjoy and interpret the lessons learned. Appropriate learning model will be able to realize a happiness learning. We recommend Joyful learning, which is an alternative learning that is not just learning in general, but also focusing on the student, and able tocreate meaning in learning. Joyful learning was doing with several stages, starting from creating a pleasant environment until mean in learning. In joyful learning, the teacher is important to create a positive environment, which is supported by effective learning media in the form of pictures or videos that applied learning more fun. From happiness learning model will be able to enhance human potential optimally.

Abstract

Batik has become a cultural heritage that has been recognized internationally by UNESCO. Indonesian batik has been known worldwide, even the president of the Republic of Indonesia has set October 2 as the national batik day. This should be a matter of pride for the people of Indonesia, especially Yogyakarta, which has a batik culture. The pride of the batik culture that has been recognized by the world must be owned by the Indonesian people as a whole. Not only to adults but also to children. Unfortunately, in this globalization and modern era, children, especially in the Semaki and Kotagede sub-districts, are more interested in modern culture than batik. The development of technology has given a considerable influence on children in the current era of globalization. Children are more interested in playing gadgets than making batik. The complicated process of making batik becomes less attractive to the younger generation. This community service program is carried out in the form of collaborative learning with the theme Project based learning in fostering a love of batik from an early age through written batik training with natural dyes for children. The purpose of this PPM is to provide knowledge and understanding to students and children about how to make batik with natural dyes. By knowing and understanding how to make batik, it is hoped that children in the Semaki and Purbayan sub-districts will be interested in batik culture and will develop a sense of love and pride in the batik culture that has become a legacy of their ancestors. The method of this service activity consists of socialization, debriefing, natural dye testing, written batik training, natural dye training, evaluation, and reporting. This activity will be held from 21 to 26 December 2021 in Semaki and Purbayan villages. This activity has succeeded in increasing the knowledge and understanding of participants, both students and children. Students' understanding of batik skills increased from 27% to 100% while students' natural coloring skills increased from 12% to 100%. The understanding of the children also experienced a significant increase. The children's batik skills increased from 25% and 7.5% to 100% being able to make batik. While natural coloring skills increased from 4% and 0% to 100%.

Abstract

Almost all parts of the world are currently being hit by the outbreak of the Coronavirus Disease (Covid-19) which has a profound impact in the field of education is to change the process of face-to-face learning in schools to become online learning. As the main practitioner of guidance and counseling services, they must also keep up with industry developments into the Society 5.0 era. The implementation of long distance counseling can be done using Cyber Counseling techniques. As for this scientific paper, the authors use the literature review method and the Research and Development (RnD) model with a 4D model (Define, Design, Development, and Dissemination) and SWOT analysis to assist in providing an interpretation of the ideas and ideas that have been planned. Therefore, the purpose of writing this scientific paper is to find out the concepts, principles, and effectiveness of Society 5.0, Cyber Counseling, Comprehensive Counseling, and Academic Planning for Students. It is hoped that the INVALOR application can be useful for guidance and counseling services in a more advanced era in preparing superior and competent Indonesian students, as well as mastering the skills needed in this 5.0 society era so that students have a competitive spirit to survive and compete globally.

Abstract

Penelitian tentang kelompok psikoedukasi berbasis permainan terutama yang melibatkan aspek social awareness masih terbatas. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini bertujuan menguji efektivitas layanan kelompok psikoedukasi berbasis permainan dalam meningkatkan social awareness siswa kelas 7 MTs Fie Sabilil Muttaqien, Ngawi. Penelitian eksperimen ini menggunakan desain one-group pre-test-post-test dengan 8 siswa dengan social awareness yang rendah sebagai sampel purposif. Data dikumpulkan melalui skala social awareness. Hasil pre-test menunjukkan rata-rata skor 41,25 (kategori sedang), sementara post-test meningkat menjadi 69,75 (kategori tinggi). Analisis data menggunakan Wilcoxon Signed Ranks Test menunjukkan nilai signifikan 0,012 < 0,05, yang mengindikasikan adanya perbedaan signifikan antara skor pre-test dan post-test setelah intervensi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa layanan psikoedukasi kelompok berbasis permainan secara signifikan meningkatkan social awareness siswa, serta memberikan strategi inovatif bagi konselor untuk diterapkan dalam layanan bimbingan dan konseling. Kata kunci: social awareness, permainan, kelompok psikoedukasi
