Abstract

The growth of the milk industry in Indonesia is increasing every year. This is due to population growth, Indonesian income increasing, and their awareness of consuming milk benefit. Milk production in Indonesia comes from small and medium-term farmers, requiring Koperasi to improve the quality of dairy products in Indonesia. Koperasi Mitra Jaya Mandiri (MJM) consists of dozens of small local farm which all activities are still done manually. Activities of Koperasi MJM, farmers and milk transportation have an impact on the environment. The objective of this research is identify inputs, outputs and environmental impacts in the production of 1 kg of fresh milk (case study of Koperasi MJM). The methods used are life cycle assessment (LCA) with three impact categories: global warming (GWP), eutrophication potential (EP) and acidification potential (AP). The boundary of LCA study is "cradle to gate", which include: feed production, dairy farming activities, transportation of milk to Koperasi, cooling of milk in Koperasi and transportation of milk to factory. Based on LCA results, the environmental impact of GWP, EP and AP 1 kg of Koperasi MJM fresh milk equals 3.45 kg CO2 eq, 0.018 kg PO43- and 0.0208 kg SO2 eq. The stage of dairy farming activities has the highest environmental impact in these three categories. Environmental impact reduction can be done by processing feces of cow, or choosing feed additive that more environmentally friendly. Key words: Life Cycle Assessment, fresh milk, cradle to gate, environmental impact, diary farm

The method used in this research is value added analysis using the Hayami method. The components of the calculation of the Hayami method are output, input, price, and income which give the results of conversion factors, labor coefficients, product values, value added ratios, labor benefits, other input contributions, and profit levels and margins. The results of the analysis show that there is added value from the production process of fresh milk, caramel milk candy, yogurt, and Greek, respectively, amounting to IDR 1.396/kg; IDR 21,141/kg; IDR 18,398/kg; and IDR. 69,947/kg. The biggest profit rate for fresh milk products is 98%. Yogurt and Greek products have the same profit rate of 89-90%. The lowest profit rate for candy products is 75%. The selected pure milk product is greek because the highest value of the added value, added value ratio, direct labor income, and the profit compared to the other 3 pure milk products.

Abstract

The production process is an activity to create or increase the function of a good or service by using existing factors such as human resources, machines, materials and money to make it more useful for human needs. PT XYZ is a cosmetic manufacturing services company that has been established for more than 15 years producing quality cosmetics, skincare and beauty soap. However, during the production process there were various problems, namely waste was found. The aim of this research is to identify waste and provide suggestions for improvements to PT XYZ's transparent bar soap production line. The method used in this research is Value Stream Mapping (VSM) by conducting interviews and direct observation as a data collection method. The results of the research that has been carried out are the discovery of waste in the form of transportation, waiting, and defects caused by various factors. These factors include human factors, methods, machines, processes and the environment. From the identification results, several recommendations for improvement were proposed, such as holding training on the use of sealing machines, implementing the 5R culture, routinely checking raw materials, optimizing the use of cutting machines, and routinely monitoring products and employee activities. After carrying out the improvement process, the production time was 2,581.36 minutes with a lead time of 26.29 minutes, compared to the initial condition, which was 4,102 minutes with a lead time of 39.89 minutes. Thus, it can be concluded that after carrying out the improvement process, it is hoped that the production process will run faster than before.

Abstract

Higher education is an important pillar of education for the progress of the Indonesian nation. The growth in the number of Private Universities (PTS) in Indonesia is increasing, which has led to the intense competition. Conditions during the Covid pandemic that affected the people's economy were also one of the problems with the decline in new students at PTS, including University X. The marketing strategy is an important factor in attracting prospective students. One of them is the Marketing Mix and consumer behavior with the S-O-R (Stimulus-Organism-Response) model. This study aims to determine the effect of marketing mix variables (products, price, place, promotion, people, process, physical environment) and consumer behavior on student decisions in choosing a university. The results showed that the Marketing Mix variables simultaneously influenced prospective students' decision to study at X University. The product, place, people and process variables were variables that had a significant effect while the physical environment, price and promotion variables had no significant effect on individual students' decision to study at X University.

This study provides clear recommendations for prioritizing alternatives in developing the tourism Village. The Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) method is used to identify the factors influencing the development of the tourism village and determine the priority development strategies. This research involves ten respondents representing the Penta helix group: Academics, Business, Community, Government, and Media. Based on the highest and lowest AHP weight values, the research results indicate that local community participation and tourist satisfaction are the key factors. Simultaneously, the results show that the waterfall destination is the main priority alternative (29.9%), followed by the Apple Garden (25.5%), Camping Ground (23.3%), and Flower Garden (21.3%). The study concludes that local community participation is the highest criterion. At the same time, the waterfall destination is the preferred development choice for the Oro-oro Ombo Pioneer Tourism Village in Batu City, East Java. Sustainable development can be achieved by involving the community in decision-making, ensuring environmental conservation, and offering eco-friendly services. Therefore, the policy implication is that local governments should prioritize community engagement, allocate resources for sustainable infrastructure, and support responsible tourism practices.
