Abstract

This study aimed at investigating the effect of strategies-based instruction on students’ speaking skill at Lakidende University and the students’ interest in learning English through strategies-based instruction. This research employed Quasi Experimental Method, with non-equivalent control group design. This research assigned experimental group and control group (30 students for each).Speaking test was used to see the effect of strategies-based instruction on students’ speaking skill and questionnaire was used to see students’ interest in learning English through strategies-based instruction. The data obtained through the speaking test were analyzed by using descriptive statistics and inferential statistics. Meanwhile, the data from questionnaire were analyzed in percentage and descriptive statistics. The students’ speaking skill covered three components: accuracy, fluency, and comprehensibility. The findings showed that there was an improvement on the students’ speaking ability after the treatment. There was a significant difference between the results of post-test of experimental and control group, where the mean score of post-test of experimental group was 70.37, which was higher than the mean score of post-test of control group was 59.63.The value of P-value or sig. (2-tailed) shows that P-value or sig. (2-tailed) is smaller than α (0.00 < 0.05).Furthermore, the data that were collected from questionnaire showed that the students were very high interest toward strategies-based instruction. It is showed by the mean score in scale of 89.6, which was categorized as very high interest. Keywords: effect, strategy-based instruction, speaking skill

Abstract

Capacity Improvement of Local Quick Reaction Team (TRC) to improve technical and managerial capability for Quick Reaction Team Regional members, as Quick Reaction Team is the spearhead in the implementation of tasks in emergency disaster management. The purpose of this research is to know the Role of Quick Reaction Team of Health Service Unit of Port Health Office (KKP) of Class III of Banda Aceh on early response of emergency response of earthquake disaster victims. The research design used a qualitative approach with data collection method in Focus Group Discussion (FGD) and observation result in the field. The sample in this study is the rapid response team of health service unit KKP Class III Banda Aceh as many as 9 people (Total Population), research has Was conducted at KKP Class III of Banda Aceh on March 31st to April 21st 2017. The results showed that the role of fast response team of KKP Class III Banda Aceh health service unit in providing health service in the early response of evacuation of earthquake victims, among others, And treatment, while counseling delivered at the time of earthquake disaster one of them is the material of clean and healthy life behavior, meanwhile the information conveyed got from coordination with various sector. Understanding of the source of danger and its potential to the community should be intensified by holding it thoroughly and involving all parties, so as to increase public awareness of the earthquake hazard, and need more accurate coordination between each stakeholder in the handling of disaster victims either in one region or between Region

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui tingkat pencemaran air tanah yang berada di wilayah psisir kota Kendari pada 5 kecamatan yang mengelilingi teluk Kendari  yaitu kecamatan Kendari, Kendari Barat, Mandonga, Poasia dan Abeli. Pengambilan sampel air dilakukan ipada sebaran air tanah dangkal sebanyak 20 sampel. Dari  hasil analisis yang  dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode Indeks Pencemaran,  diketahui bahwa kualitas air sumur gali di sekitar pesisir Teluk Kendari kurang layak dikonsumsi sebagai air minum sebab telah melampaui nilai ambang Baku Mutu Air kelas 1 yang ditetapkan PPRI No.82 tahun 2001 . Parameter fisika  yang melampaui baku mutu air  yaitu kekeruhan (TSS) dengan nilai rata-rata melebihi 100 mg/L. Parameter kimia diatas baku mutu yaitu Besi (Fe) dengan nilai lebih dari 4 mg/L dan Magnesium (Mg) dengan nilai rata-rata lebih dari 60 mg/L. Tingginya beberapa parameter ini telah mengindikasikan adanya pencemaran di lokasi tersebut. Hasil perhitungan penentuan status mutu air dengan metode Indeks Pencemaran menunjukkan bahwa secara umum di lokasi tersebut tergolong cemar sedang dengan nilai indeks 5,0 < PIj ≤10

Abstract

The Momentum enactment of Law No. 25 of 2009 on Public Services showed the nation's attention to improve the delivery of public services public. One type is administrative services one of which is the passport. Immigration Office as an arm of the Ministry of Justice and Human Rights is often under scrutiny for its performance. Similarly, what happened on the service passport at the Immigration Office Class III Bekasi. A primary issue in this study is the quality of service of the Immigration Office Class III Bekasi. can not say either. This research is interesting to do given the same research ever conducted by Wicaksono (2012) in Class I Immigration Office Bandung. The results showed the gap between the expectations of respondents for the service passport by the Immigration officer Class I Bandung. By using the T test showed that there is no gap or difference between the services provided by the community expected. Thus, it can be said to be of service passports at the Immigration Office Class III Kota Bekasi satisfactory. These results are consistent with previous predictions given the improvements have been made related to service, after numerous public complaints leveled at the Immigration office. This indicates that the Immigration Office Class III Kota Bekasi responsive to the mandate contained in Law No. 25 of 2009 on Public Service
