Abstract

Competition black tea bussiness currently is no longer competition between companies but competition in supply chain network. PPTK Gambung as company and research institution that manage business unit of black tea so far nor been the identification of performance indicators Green Supply Chain Management (GSCM), to understand the condition of black tea business unit performance integrated overall both the process and operation. The aim of this study which provides recommendations for improvement to the company in improving the performance of the bussiness unit of black tea which has not reached the expected target. Performance measurement in this study using GSCM involving Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) for weighting KPI, Scoring System method Objectives Matrix (OMAX), and Traffic Light System (TLS) to analyze the scores of environmental performance assessment are classified by color. The aim of this study which provides recommendations for improvement to the company in improving the performance of which has not reached the expected target. From the result, it can be seen that Index Performance Indicator is 5,35 company which means the PPTK Gambung performance has yet to be reached despite the are approaching the target,. Based on the results obtained 31 KPI valid OMAX which consists of 18 KPI that have reached the target; 1 KPI has yet to be reached despite the are approaching the target and 11 KPI that have a performance targetless. Based on these results can be made efforts to improve the performance of the company by making an integrated measurement that includes all existing processes (upstream - downstream) and periodically for maximum performance can be achieved, so it can be a consideration and evaluation for the company to overcome the performance problems companies either preventive action or corrective action.

Abstract

Uncomfortable work postures will cause ergonomic problems such as musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs) so that workers feel uncomfortable and work becomes risky and unproductive. This study aims to 1) analyze MSDs complaints of workers at the Green Tea Plant; 2) analyze work posture in green tea processing which has the highest complaints of MSDs; 3) analyze the relationship of individual worker characteristics and MSDs complaints. This study uses a descriptive method with a quantitative approach. This research was conducted at the PPTK Gambung Green Tea Factory. Data collection was carried out by observation and interview techniques using the Nordic Body Map (NBM) questionnaire. Data analysis includes 1) analysis of work posture using the OWAS and RULA methods, and 2) analysis of the correlation with Rank Spearman correlation. The results showed that 1) the highest MSDs complaints occurred at packing stations, 2) from the OWAS and RULA analysis, the work posture that had a very high risk level and needed immediate repairs was the position when putting tea in sacks, leveling tea in sacks, raising sacks to top of the trolly, push the trolly, pull the trolly, lift the sack from the top of the trolly and put the sack on the lowest and top arrangement; 3) there is a relationship between the working period with the type of work, and between the length effective work time with complaints MSDs.

Abstract

The competition of tea business in domestic market is increasingly fierce, inevitably demanding Research Institute for Tea and Cinchona (PPTK) as a research and profit center that produces a variety of tea products (black tea, green tea, and white tea) with the "Gamboeng" brand to maintain and increase the competitiveness and excellence of its tea products for sustainability of its tea business in the future. So, knowing about customer satisfaction on product quality and marketing services for PPTK tea products is an important aspect of the tea business strategy. This study aims to determine the level of product satisfaction and marketing services of “Gamboeng” tea. This study uses a survey method with a quantitative descriptive approach. Data collection using interview techniques with a questionnaire in score Likert scale design. Sampling was done by simple random sampling with the Slovin formula, so the total respondents are 40 with sample units are internal public or employees of PPTK. Primary data analyzed descriptively with SPSS ver.21. The results showed that the level of satisfaction with Gamboeng tea products and marketing services was high. The highest level of product satisfaction is the product attribute component, namely the taste quality, while the lowest is the place attribute, namely the availability of product sales in various places. The highest average level of satisfaction of tea marketing services is in the assurance component, namely trust, while the lowest is the reliability and responsiveness component, namely professionalism and responsiveness to complaints, requests, and consumer claims.

Abstract

Tidak kalah dengan negara-negara penghasil teh lainnya, industri produk teh pun turut berkembang juga di Indonesia. Diantara banyaknya teh yang terproduksi, Indonesia juga menjadi produsen salah satu bentuk olahan populer teh hijau; bubuk teh hijau. Untuk meningkatkan pemasaran dan penjualan produk bubuk teh hijau, perlu melihat gaya hidup dari konsumen yang hendak dituju, dimana nantinya faktor pendorong konsumen untuk mengonsumsi produk tersebut dapat terlihat. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk memahami dan mengkaji gaya hidup kelompok masyarakat muda, dalam penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa Antropologi FISIP Unpad, sebagai target konsumen dari produk bubuk teh hijau. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode survei secara daring, dimana data dikumpulkan melalui kuesioner. Data yang diperoleh kemudian dianalisis secara deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) Olahan bubuk teh hijau bukanlah suatu hal yang mengikat responden milenial secara kultural; (2) Tidak banyak hal yang membuat responden secara khusus memotivasi mereka untuk mengonsumsi bubuk teh hijau dalam kesehariannya; (3) Minimnya pengetahuan umum responden terkait produk bubuk teh hijau, pasalnya responden milenial tidak begitu memerhatikan aspek manfaat dari bubuk teh hijau, melainkan lebih fokus pada rasa dari produk tersebut; (4) Responden tidak menerapkan gaya hidup konsumen teh dimana mereka mengonsumsi bubuk teh hijau dalam kesehariannya, namun produk ini menjadi bagian dari konsumsi mereka dalam memenuhi kebutuhan sosial, sebagai produk makanan dan minuman untuk menemani mereka bersosialisasi, dibandingkan dikonsumsi sebagai produk kecantikan atau kesehatan; dan (5) Perlu adanya strategi pendekatan pada konsumen milenial dengan target membangun brand awareness yang dapat dilakukan melalui promosi yang dilakukan oleh para influencer dengan sebaran umur yang setara dengan generasi milenial.

Abstract

Divisi kerja yang ada pada karyawan pengolahan teh hijau Pusat Penelitian Teh dan Kina (PPTK) dipengaruhi erat oleh budaya patriarki. Hal ini mengarah pada terjadinya perbedaan partisipasi, akses dan kontrol antar kedua gender tersebut. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menggambarkan relasi gender yang ada pada karyawan pengolahan teh di PPTK serta pengaruhnya terhadap kinerja karyawan dengan metode kualitatif deskriptif. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan metode wawancara mendalam, data kemudian akan dianalisis menggunakan Gender Analysis Pathway. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kinerja karyawan pabrik pengolahan teh hijau terdeteksi amat baik. Pembagian kerja antara perempuan dan laki-laki di pabrik teh hijau, secara umum dapat dinegosiasikan. Akses terhadap fasilitas perusahaan, upah dan jam kerja dibagi secara setara berdasarkan status karyawan. Namun, dalam akses atas jenis pekerjaan masih terdapat ketimpangan relasi gender di mana mayoritas jenis pekerjaan masih didominasi oleh laki-laki. Hal ini dipengaruhi erat oleh mesin pabrik yang belum ramah perempuan dan budaya patriarki sehingga perempuan kesulitan untuk mengaksesnya.

Abstract

One of the efforts to diversify the income of tea plantations amid increasing industrial challenges is the development of the agrotourism sector. This study aims to identify the conditions, development strategies, and roles of tea educational agrotourism at PPTK Gambung. The method used is qualitative descriptive with a SOAR (Strengths, Opportunities, Aspirations, Results) approach. The results of the study show that PPTK Gambung has strengths in supporting facilities, strategic location, and competent human resources. Opportunities include trends in nature tourism and the relevance of tea education for the community. Recommended strategies include enhancing employee capabilities, improving service systems, adding informative facilities, strategic partnerships, and active promotion. The implementation of these strategies is expected to improve the sustainability of the tea education program at PPTK Gambung.

Abstract

Teh hitam bulky (HS 090240) merupakan salah satu komoditas ekspor dengan kontribusi penting bagi subsektor perkebunan. Salah satu pasar potensial untuk diversifikasi yaitu Asia Pasifik. Akan tetapi, dalam lima tahun terakhir terjadi penurunan ekspor teh Indonesia sehingga posisi Indonesia di pasar teh Asia Pasifik terancam. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis struktur pasar, daya saing komparatif, dan daya saing kompetitif teh hitam bulky Indonesia di pasar Asia Pasifik. Data yang digunakan merupakan data sekunder time series periode 1989-2023 yang bersumber dari UN Comtrade. Analisis dilakukan dengan metode Herfindahl-Hirschman Index (HHI), Revealed Comparative Advantage (RCA), Export Product Dynamic (EPD), dan Export Competitiveness Index (ECI). Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa pasar teh hitam bulky di Asia Pasifik memiliki konsentrasi yang tinggi (HHI 2.232) cenderung ke struktur pasar oligopoli. Nilai RCA > 1 menunjukkan daya saing komparatif tinggi. Daya saing kompetitif Indonesia lemah (ECI < 1). Meskipun berada dalam posisi rising star dalam EPD, peningkatan ekspor masih rendah sehingga diperlukan strategi pengembangan pasar agar Indonesia mampu bersaing secara berkelanjutan di pasar Asia Pasifik.
