Abstract

Organizational management is one of the things that is very important to achieve the goals, vision, and mission of the organization. Good organizational management will make the organization run well. But the Covid-19 pandemic had caused changes in the organizational structure. This had an impact on several community organizations not working well. One of the community organizations that had an impact was the NGC New Generation Club (NGC). NGC administrators found it difficult to carry out all activities that had been planned to be online activities or restrictions with certain permits. Seeing this, it is necessary to have organizational management training at the New Generation Club (NGC) non-governmental organization after the pandemic. This community service used online training methods. It is hoped that with this organizational management training, the NGC NGC administrators are able to carry out all activities even though they are in online form so that the organization can run well.

Abstract

Training in writing scientific articles is one of the things that is very important for final semester students to know. The publication of scientific articles is one of the requirements that must be met by final semester students before they advance for the final exam. But based on preliminary observations with several final semester students, it turns out that there are still many of them who don't know how to write scientific articles. Some of them even think that writing scientific articles is the same as writing ordinary paper assignments. Based on these findings, it is necessary to hold scientific article writing training for final semester students. This community service used a descriptive method. It is hoped that this scientific article writing training can help final semester students to write and publish their scientific articles, so that they can fulfill one of the pre-requirements for graduating from their studies.

Abstract

This research investigates the effectiveness of the Total Physical Response (TPR) Storytelling method in improving the speaking skills of physical education students. The study employs a quasi-experimental design involving two groups: an experimental group that received instruction using the TPR Storytelling method and a control group that followed a traditional teaching approach. Data were collected through pre-tests and post-tests to measure the students’ speaking abilities, along with observations and interviews to gain qualitative insights into the learning process. The findings reveal that students in the experimental group demonstrated a significant improvement in their speaking skills compared to those in the control group. The TPR Storytelling method was found to be particularly effective in engaging students and promoting active participation, which led to enhanced vocabulary usage, better sentence construction, and increased confidence in speaking. The qualitative data supported these results, showing that students were more motivated and showed a higher level of enthusiasm towards learning English through storytelling. This research highlights the potential of the TPR Storytelling method as a valuable tool in language teaching, especially for students in non-language disciplines such as physical education. The study recommends that educators consider incorporating this method into their teaching practices to foster more dynamic and interactive language learning environments
