Abstract

Penelitian dengan judul "Peningkatan Kemampuan Bahasa Indonesia Mahasiswa Semester 1 Kelas Matematika FKIP Unsri Palembang Menggunakan Pendekatan Contextual Teaching dan Learning" ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah penggunaan Pendekatan Contextual Teaching and Learning dapat meningkatkan kemampuan berbahasa Indonesia, mahasiswa semester 1 prodi Matematika MPK Bahasa Indonesia kelas Palembang. Untuk mencapai tujuan tersebut dilakukan penelitian tindakan kelas, melalui tahap perencanaan, pelaksanaan, pengamatan, dan penilaian, serta refleksi. Teknik pengumpulan datanya menggunakan tes dan lembar pengamatan. Hasil yang ditargetkan dari penelitian ini adalah: deskripsi perencanaan/silabus perkuliahan bahasa Indonesia yang dirancang menggunakan pendekatan contextual teaching and learning yang dapat meningkatkan kompetensi mahasiswa dalam kuliah bahasa Indonesia, dan nilai yang diperoleh mahasiswa juga mengalami peningkatan. Nilai rata-rata mahasiswa mengalami peningkatan dari 66 menjadi 67, dan menjadi 81. Selain itu, mahasiswa yang mencapai KKM juga mengalami peningkatan, dari 11 orang menjadi 24 orang, dan menjadi 34 orang.

Abstract

Penelitian “Peningkatan Kemampuan Menulis Esai dalam Mata Kuliah Bahasa Indonesia Mahasiswa Semester 1 Kelas MPK Kampus Inderalaya Menggunakan Mind Mapping” ini bertujuan meningkatkan kualitas proses dan hasil perkuliahan bahasa Indonesia di Kelas MPK Kampus Inderalaya. Metode penelitian adalah tindakan kelas dengan pendekatan Mind Mapping. Data diperoleh melalui tes, wawancara, dan observasi kepada mahasiswa MPK Kampus Inderalaya Universitas Sriwijaya. Bentuk data berupa tulisan esai. Penelitian tindakan kelas ini dilakukan dalam dua siklus. Siklus pertama diperoleh rata-rata nilai mahasiswa adalah 67,6 dan pada siklus kedua hasilnya adalah 77,4. Penelitian ini berakhir pada siklus kedua mengingat 86,6% siswa mendapatkan nilai di atas 70 yang merupakan patokan nilai keberhasilan penelitian ini. Selain itu terjadi pula, peningkatan aktivitas mahasiswa dalam proses perkuliahan. Dengan demikian, penggunaan pendekatan Mind Mapping berhasil meningkatkan kemampuan mahasiswa menulis esai.

Abstract

Proverbs are a form of literary work. Proverb has a positive value in the life of a society, especially in the people of Ternate. One of the values in the literary work serves as a means of character education for a child. This study aims to explain the values of character education in Ternate proverbs. The research method uses a qualitative descriptive approach. Research data were collected through observation, interviews and literature study from Ternate reference books containing Ternate proverbs. While data analysis is done by identifying and classifying proverbs based on the educational values contained therein. The research findings show that the values of character education in Ternate proverbs are: religious, polite in language and behavior, patience, responsibility, love of knowledge, hard work, caution or alertness, maintaining trust, mutual affection, mutual respect, mutual assistance and Social care. These values can be implemented in daily practice in the family, community and school environment in forming good children's character

Abstract

Scientific literacy is one of the skills that must be possessed in the 21st Century. The aim of this research is to identify the scientific literacy abilities of class XI students at SMA YPK Diaspora Kotaraja, Papua. This research uses a quantitative descriptive method to describe the initial scientific literacy abilities of YPK Diaspora Kotaraja High School students. The population used in this research were all class XI students of SMA YPK Diaspora Kotaraja. The sample in this study consisted of 30 students from class XI using a random cluster sampling technique (cluster sampling). Quantitative data in this research was obtained using the NoSLiT test instrument. The data obtained was then analyzed descriptively. The research results show that the scientific literacy abilities of YPK Diaspora Kotaraja High School students are in the low category. Based on these results, it is necessary to consistently apply scientific literacy in learning so that 21st century skills can be improved and become the foundation for students to build the nation in the future.

Abstract

This research aims to identify the scientific literacy abilities of class X students at SMA YPK Diaspora Kotaraja, Jayapura City, Papua. The research method used in this research is a quantitative descriptive method to describe and map the initial scientific literacy abilities of YPK Diaspora Kotaraja High School students. The population used in this research were all class X students of SMA YPK Diaspora Kotaraja. The sample in this study consisted of 34 class X students using a random cluster sampling technique (cluster sampling). Quantitative data in this research will be obtained using the NoSLiT test instrument developed by Wenning (2006). The data obtained was then analyzed descriptively. The research results show that the scientific literacy abilities of YPK Diaspora Kotaraja High School students are in the low category.  If reviewed based on the six NoSLiT indicators, two indicators are in the very low category, namely scientific naming, process skills ability.  Three indicators are in the low category, namely the indicators of scientific postulates, main misconceptions about science and scientific disposition. One other indicator is in the medium category, namely the indicator for the rules of scientific evidence. Based on these results, it is necessary to consistently apply scientific literacy in learning so that 21st century skills can be improved and become the foundation for students to build the nation in the future.
