Abstract

This community service is a form of sharing program of cooperation from the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Indonesia and the Provincial and City Health Offices, namely GeMa CerMat (Smart Community Movement Using Drugs), one of which is through the promotion of the tagline "Tanya Lima O". Through this tagline, it is hoped that the public can be more active in seeking information about drugs, not only for health workers but also from other valid and trustworthy sources. Apart from this information, people also need to know drug interactions, especially drug interactions with food. To achieve quality and safe drug use, active community involvement is highly expected. In this activity, the target audience is students at MTsN 2 Palangka Raya. The method is in the form of the posttest and pretest implementation, interactive counseling with participants, as well as discussion and question and answer. The value obtained from the posttest and pretest results was then performed statistical tests using the paired T-test and the Gain test. Based on the results of the analysis, it was found that there was a significant difference in knowledge between before and after counseling was given. This is evidenced by the increase in post-test scores. The average posttest score was 80, and this value was greater than the pretest average score of 44. The results of the analysis with the paired T-test obtained p-value = 0.000, indicating a significant difference in knowledge between before and after counseling. The value of understanding that increased after being given counseling was shown by a percentage of 87.69%, consisting of 25 people (38.46%) who obtained high gain values ??and 32 people (49.23%) moderate gain values.

Abstract

Diseases caused by negligence in maintaining personal hygiene are still a public health problem in Indonesia, one of which is school-age children. School-age children are an age group that is vulnerable to various health problems. The number of school-age children, from early childhood to adolescence, still often neglects personal hygiene. The result of poor personal hygiene can increase the risk of infection, which can lead to various diseases. For that, health-related behaviors must be applied to children as early as possible. This activity targets students at MAN Kota Palangka Raya, the adolescent age group, who often feel that they have good endurance, so they often ignore personal hygiene problems. Implementing this activity is an online extension through the zoom application, question-and-answer, and evaluation through posttest and pretest. The posttest and pretest results obtained were then performed statistical tests using the paired T-test. Based on the analysis results, there are significant differences in knowledge between before and after counseling. The average posttest score was 85.24, which was greater than the pretest average score, which was 79.92. Based on the paired T-test results, it is known that the p-value is 0.001 (p <0.05), so it can be concluded that there is a significant difference in knowledge between before and after counseling. As many as 80% of participants have a good level of knowledge.

Abstract

Mercury in catfish (pangasius pangasius) indicated the pollution in the Kahayan Rivers Kalimantan Tengah and caused the negative effect for health. The prevention effort do soaking process with the acid solution like lime (citrus aurantifolia) and Limau Kuit (Citrus hystrix) solution before consumed. The aim this study was determine the effectiveness of acid solution concentration to decrease mercury level in the catfish (pangasius pangasius). The methode of this study was experimental with pre and post desaign and use 50 mg meat catfish as sampel. The soaking process use varians concentration of acid solution ware 10%, 25% and 50% for 30 minutes. The result showed that the mean of mercury level in the catfish from Kahayan River was 0, 380±0,072 and lower than maximum limit by SNI 7387 Years 2009. The effectiveness of lime (citrus aurantifolia) solution for 10%, 25% and 50% were 18,11%, 46,98% and 65,09% and the effectiveness of Limau Kuit (Citrus hystrix) for the same concentration were 46,03%, 73,28% and 27, 25%. it is concluded that the highest of effectiveness to decrease the mercury level in the catfish was 25% of limau kuit and the lowest of effectiveness was 10% of lime solution. This study was expected to give information about lime an limau kuit solution ability for reduce mercury level in catfish before consumed.

Abstract

ABSTRACT The new curriculum  is needed as a way out of the  learning process that is in line with the demands of the times and pandemic conditions, where changes in regulations and the learning process can occur at any time. This paper aims to explain the concept of the Prototype Curriculum at the PAUD level which is implemented in PAUD Mutiara Yogyakarta for the 2022/2023 Academic Year. This research uses a normative or literature approach, with primary data sources in the form of documents related to the research  focus.  The results  showed that through the Driving  School Program, a new curriculum concept called the Prototype Curriculum was obtained. At the PAUD level, the learning process is directed at 3 (three) Learning Outcomes (CP), namely: religious values and ethics; identity; the basis of STEAM literacy (science, technology, engineering, art, mathematics).  Learning Outcomes themselves have been previously known through the 2013 Curriculum with the terms Basic Competencies (KD) and Core Competencies (KI).   Abstrak Kurikulum baru ini diperlukan sebagai jalan keluar dari proses pembelajaran yang sejalan dengan tuntutan zaman dan kondisi pandemi, dimana perubahan regulasi dan proses pembelajaran dapat terjadi sewaktu-waktu. Tulisan ini bertujuan untuk menjelaskan konsep Kurikulum Prototipe di tingkat PAUD yang diterapkan di PAUD Mutiara Yogyakarta untuk Tahun Akademik 2022/2023. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan normatif atau literatur, dengan sumber data primer berupa dokumen yang berkaitan dengan fokus penelitian.  Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa melalui Program Driving School diperoleh konsep kurikulum baru yang disebut Kurikulum Prototipe. Pada tingkat PAUD, proses pembelajaran diarahkan pada 3 (tiga) Capaian Pembelajaran (CP), yaitu: nilai-nilai agama dan etika; identitas; dasar literasi STEAM (sains, teknologi, teknik, seni, matematika).  Capaian Pembelajaran sendiri sebelumnya telah dikenal melalui Kurikulum 2013 dengan istilah Kompetensi Dasar (KD) dan Kompetensi Inti (KI).

Abstract

Children who grow up in an environment with poor sanitation will be at greater risk of disease and will likely continue to have a higher recurrence. This is what causes their growth to be stunted and stunted. This study aimed to analyze the relationship between the implementation of the 5 STBM pillars and the incidence of stunting in the Bukit Rawi Health Center work area, Pulang Pisau Regency. The research method was an analytic observational with a case-control design, namely by comparing a group of toddlers who suffered from stunting with another group who did not suffer from stunting to assess the relationship between causal variables. This research was conducted in the working area of the Bukit Rawi Public Health Center, Pulang Pisau Regency. The minimum sample size was 23 toddlers for the case group and 23 for the control group, so the minimum total sample in this study was 46. Univariate analysis in the frequency distribution of the dependent and independent variables tabulated in the tabular form includes data on characteristics, the incidence of stunting, and the implementation of STBM pillars. The results of the study showed that the application of the pillar STBM (Community-Based Total Sanitation), which had a relationship with the incidence of stunting in the working area of the Bukit Rawi Public Health Center in Pulang Pisau Regency, was the application of Pillar 2, namely the habit of CTPS, Pillar 3 PAMRT and Pillar 4 PSRT with a p-value <0,05.

Abstract

Penggunaan plastik dalam kehidupan menimbulkan permasalahan berupa sampah plastik. Sampah plastik memerlukan waktu ratusan bahkan ribuan tahun untuk dapat terurai sempurna. Berdasarkan data statistik persampahan domestik Indonesia, jenis sampah plastik menduduki peringkat kedua sebesar 5.4 juta ton per tahun atau 14 persen dari total produksi sampah. Program edukasi untuk memerangi sampah plastik telah dilakukan secara gencar, intens dan masif di seluruh dunia bahkan dilakukan dengan membidik sasaran anak anak usia dini untuk mencapai zero waste dari sampah dan limbah plastik. Agar anak membuang sampah pada tempatnya harus di tumbuhkan sejak usia dini. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan dengan melakukan edukasi kepada anak-anak yang tinggal di panti asuhan sebanyak 60 orang dengan metode penyuluhan (ceramah dan diskusi tanya jawab). Hasil menunjukkan terjadi peningkatan pengetahuan p 0,001, rata-rata nilai pretest 70,67 ± 6,3 dan rerata post test 89,17 ± 8,1. Berdasarkan hasil kegiatan edukasi telah mencapai indikator keberhasilan >75% peserta dapat memahami materi yang disampaikan dengan baik. Berdasarkan hasil disarankan agar dapat dilakukan kegiatan edukasi serupa pada tempat lain yang berbeda agar dapat mencapai sasaran lebih luas sehingga semakin banyak yang mendapatkan edukasi.

Abstract

Pemberian makanan pendamping ASI (MP-ASI) yang tepat dan baik ditujukan agar kebutuhan gizi anak dapat terpenuhi secara optimal sehingga ke depannya tidak menyebabkan gagal tumbuh. Semakin baik pengetahuan ibu akan berdampak pada praktik ibu memberikan MP-ASI untuk bayi maka akan semakin baik status gizi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh edukasi gizi melalui whatsapp group terhadap pengetahuan dan praktik pemberian MP-ASI ibu balita di wilayah kerja Puskesmas Pahandut. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah Pre-Experimental dengan desain one group pre-test post-test design. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah ibu yang memiliki balita usia 6-12 bulan sebanyak 38 orang dengan teknik purposive sampling. Karakteristik ibu balita pada penelitian usia paling banyak adalah usia 17-25 tahun (50%), tingkat pendidikan ibu balita tamat SMA/MA/Perguruan Tinggi (60,5%) dan jenis pekerjaan ibu balita adalah ibu rumah tangga (86,6%). Persentase pengetahuan ibu sebelum diberikan edukasi (68,5%) kategori kurang dan setelah diberikan edukasi (92,1%) kategori baik. Praktik ibu sebelum diberikan edukasi (89,5%) kategori tidak sesuai dan setelah diberikan edukasi (92,1%) kategori sesuai. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ada pengaruh pengetahuan sebelum dan sesudah edukasi gizi melalui whatsapp group (p=0,000), dan ada pengaruh praktik ibu balita dalam pemberian MP-ASI sebelum dan sesudah edukasi gizi melalui whatsapp group (p=0,000).

Abstract

Background: When a baby turns six months old, breast milk will no longer be able to meet their nutritional needs during the growth phase. The age range of 6 to 10 months is an important and sensitive phase of growth and development. Therefore, it is necessary to provide complementary foods according to the age stage. Efforts that need to be made include conducting health education activities that promote healthy living behaviors, one of which is nutrition education using BampiApp. Objectives: This study analyzed the difference before and after nutrition education using BampiApp on knowledge, attitudes, and skills related to complementary feeding in Tumbang Samba Village, Katingan Tengah Sub-district, Central Kalimantan. Methods: This study was a quasi-experiment with a one-group pretest-posttest design. The sample in this study consisted of 33 mothers with babies aged 6-10 months at Tumbang Samba Village, Katingan Tengah Sub-District, Central Kalimantan, chosen by purposive sampling method. Education was conducted through verbal communication to provide explanations to research respondents using BampiApp, which contains information related to complementary feeding. BampiApp was accessed online, and respondents were given one week to comprehend the material presented within the application. Data were analyzed using McNemar’s test to determine differences before and after treatment. Results: The result showed a significant increase in knowledge, attitudes, and skills in providing complementary feeding to babies in the intervention group (p<0.05). Conclusions: BampiApp can be an alternative media for the government and health workers in providing education to increase mothers’ knowledge, attitudes, and skills about complementary feeding.

Abstract

Stunting among toddlers poses a serious public health issue in Indonesia. The SSGI data of 2022 indicates that the prevalence of stunting remains high, particularly in certain regions. Central Kalimantan stands out as one of the areas where the rates exceed the national average. The causes of stunting are multifaceted, involving factors such as malnutrition, unhealthy eating patterns, and limited access to appropriate healthcare services and nutritional information. Among these factors, the practice of exclusive breastfeeding (EBF) plays a crucial role in stunting prevention. The aim of this research is to enhance understanding and practice of Exclusive Breastfeeding to mitigate the risk of stunting. The method employed in community engagement activities is conducting informative sessions utilizing flip charts. There were 22 participants, including pregnant women, breastfeeding mothers, and health cadres. Evaluation was conducted through pre-test and post-test assessments. The results were then statistically analyzed using the McNemar test. The findings reveal a significant difference in knowledge before and after the education intervention, with a p-value of 0.001 (<0.05). Prior to the intervention, 40% of participants demonstrated good knowledge, while post-intervention, 100% were categorized as having good knowledge. Utilizing flip charts for education effectively enhanced participants' understanding of exclusive breastfeeding.
