Abstract

This community service aims to introduce a prototype curriculum and improve the ability of mathematics teachers in West Bandung Regency in preparing TPACK-based learning tools. This activity is in the form of simple training, namely following the examples provided which consist of two sessions, namely: 1) Introduction to prototype curriculum, and 2) Training on the development of TPACK-based learning tools, which consists of: a) Training on the preparation of learning tools using the Liveworksheet application and b) Training on the preparation of learning tools using the Anyflip application. The resulting product is a TPACK-based learning device for mathematics subjects in elementary schools. From the results of observations and interviews with participants, it is known that 70 percent of participants have been able to compose simple TPACK learning tools, besides that the four indicators are: 1) participants' motivation in participating in activities; 2) new knowledge about prototype curriculum; 3) knowing new knowledge and skills about TPACK-based learning, and 4) the number of participants who are able to compose learning has been fulfilled, it can be said that this activity can improve the abilities and skills of mathematics teachers in West Bandung Regency in preparing TPACK-based learning tools using curriculum prototypes

Abstract

This research is a Classroom Action Research (CAR) whose purpose is to examine the improvement of the mathematical understanding ability (KPM) of high school students in class X on a three-variable system of linear equations. This study uses 3 indicators of KPM. The subjects were students of SMA Kartika XIX-4 involving 12 students. The research was carried out in 4 meetings with 2 cycles. Each cycle was carried out for 2 meetings. The data in this study were analyzed using Normalized Gain / N-Gain, the technique used in data collection was using a test instrument in the form of questions given at the pretest and posttest and using a non-test instrument in the form of an attitude scale questionnaire. The conclusion of this study is that the scientific approach shows a change in student learning that is more independent.

Abstract

Covid-19 is a rapidly growing outbreak around the world, one of the obvious impacts is the education sector. Inadequate education affects the learning outcomes of learners. One of the factors that affect student learning outcomes is the presence of motivation that comes from the student itself. Without the willingness to learn, it can be difficult for students to know what to learn and why they need to learn it. The research used is correlational and ex-post facto research using quantitative approaches that aim to find out whether students' learning outcomes in statistical material have an effect on learning motivation. The subjects used in the study were class IX students consisting of 6 students including 3 women and 3 men. Research instruments conducted using student motivation scale questionnaires and written tests of statistical material. The data analysis technique used in this study is a simple linear regression analysis using an average percentage of motivational indicators and spsss statistic 25 software. The results of the study proved that there was an influence of 62.2% between learning motivation and student learning outcomes.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to analyze students' mistakes when working on material problems on flat sided geometric shapes in terms of mathematical problem solving abilities and self-regulated learning. The method used in this research is descriptive analysis method. The data collection technique was taken by giving questions about the mathematical problem-solving ability of the flat-sided geometric material to students and a non-test instrument in the form of a self-regulated learning questionnaire. This research was conducted on 23 students at SMP Negeri 5 Cipongkor, class IX. The results of the study showed that there were students' errors in working on BRSD material questions based on indicators of mathematical problem solving ability; 1) identify the elements that are known, asked, and the adequacy of the required elements, 2) formulate mathematical problems or develop mathematical models, 3) apply strategies to solve various problems within or outside mathematics, 4) explain or interpret the results according to the initial problems, 5) use mathematics meaningfully.

Abstract

Online learning is a new alternative for the continuity of learning activities during the Covid-19 period, where learning is carried out online through various media or ICT used. This research aims to see the analyze how difficult students mathematical in working on mathematical problems, especially in quadrilateral and triangular material. The subject of this study were students of class VII at MTs Negeri Kabupaten Bandung Barat. The instrument used were written tests in the form of essays which numbered 5 questions and a student questionnaire via a google form. This research method uses descriptive analysis, to find out the student's mistakes in solving problems. Processing data is calculated in the form of average student scores obtained by analysis used on Taksonomi Bloom cognitive. The results showed that students achievement in the process of solving triangular and quadrilateral problems based on the stage of Taksonomi Bloom is based on the stage of Taksonomi Bloom, namely, at the cognitive stage the most is in stage C5 and C6 there is evaluation and creation, then in C2, C3, and C4 also still less than 60%. Thus it can be seen that the level of student understanding of rectangular and triangular material is still relatively low so that there is difficulty in solving students' problems on rectangular and triangular material based on Taksonomi Bloom stages. Keywords: student difficulties, online learning, quadrilateral, and triangular, taxonomy bloom

Abstract

Mathematics education is a very influential role for us because we will encounter it in aspects of evryday life. This study aims to observe and examine the difficulties of private junior hight school students in mathematics lessons, namely the SPLDV (Two-variable linier equation system) material in online learning for the 2020 and 2021 academic years. This research was carried out by one of the private junior high schools in the Cililin area. The subjects of this study werre 27 students and from class VIII. This study has test questions white indicators that have been applied as an instrument using newmen steps. In this study, using a descriptive quealitative approach, the findings obtained using the steps of te newmen procedure, some student experienced errors white indicator for solving problems involving SPLDV (a system of two-variable linier equations). The results of the analysis show that reading errors (reading errors) reading examples of math problems, so that student are femiliarwhite symbols commonly used in math problems, comprehension errors (comprehension errors) students are given learning and practice working on more complexn questions. Intensive, and learning materials are more related to the surrounding environment and daily life so that students easily find things that are know and things that are asked in questions, transformation  errors write down students’ method in process skills. This is done by increasing that number of practice questions white a variety of varied questions so that students’ skills and accuracy in analyzing and finding methods and procedures for arithmatic operations increase, process skill errors (processs kill errors) mastery of student formulas, students should be emphasized more for memorize it but to be understood. Teachers should provide the concept of mathematical formulas so that students are familiar white the steps of the problem solving process and are not fixated one the formulas they memorized, and writing errors in the final answere (encode errors). Errors in doing math problems and students who have low cognitive abilities.

Abstract

This study aims to develop a 3CM learning model in blended learning. The method used in this research is R&D with the Plomp model. The Plomp model consists of preliminary research (preliminary research; 2) the design phase; 3) realization/construction phase; 4) test, evaluation and revision phases; and 5) implementation phase. The data collection technique uses a validation sheet to measure the feasibility of the 3CM learning model in blended learning. conducted by 3 experts and a practical sheet to measure the practicality of the 4CM learning model in blended learning conducted by 3 teacher practitioners. The results of the study are that the 3CM learning model developed has met the valid criteria, is very practical and effective. The implication of this research is that the 4CM learning model developed can be used by teachers on blended learning prism material
