Abstract

Pada masa covid-19 pembelajaran dilaksanakan secara daring (online), sehingga dibutuhkan beberapa alat belajar berbantuan ICT yang mampu menunjang efektivitas pembelajaran dengan baik yaitu Geogebra. Penelitian  ini bertujuan untuk menelaah  efektivitas pembelajaran berbasis masalah berbantuan Geogebra terhadap kemampuan penalaran matematis. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini  adalah metode kuasi eksperimen. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa SMK Swasta di kota cimahi, sedangkan sampelnya dipilih tiga kelas yang banyaknya 80 dari satu SMK swasta di kota Cimahi. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah seperangkat tes kemampuan penalaran yang berbentuk soal uraian sebanyak 4 soal. Soal tersebut sudah memenuhi soal yang baik berdasarkan validitas, reliabilitas, daya pembeda dan indeks kesukaran. Berdasarkan hasil perhitungan menggunakan SPSS 18 diperoleh hasil bahwa model berbasis masalah dengan bantuan Geogebra dengan model berbasis masalah maupun biasa memiliki nilai sign. sebesar 0,000, karena nilai sign. < 0,05, maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa pembelajaran menggunakan model berbasis masalah berbantuan Geogebra lebih efektif dibandingkan model pembelajaran berbasis masalah maupun model biasa ditinjau dari  kemampuan penalaran matematis siswa. Dengan demikian penerapan model berbasis masalah berbantuan Geogebra lebih efektif dibandingkan model berbasis masalah maupun konvensional  terhadap kemampuan penalaran matematis.  Abstract During the Covid-19 period, learning was carried out online, so it needed several ICT-assisted learning tools that were able to support the effectiveness of learning well, namely Geogebra. This study aims to examine the effectiveness of Geogebra-aided problem-based learning on abilities. The method used in this study is a quasi-experimental method. The population of this study was all private vocational students in the city of Cimahi, while the sample was selected in three classes with a total of 80 from one private vocational school in the city of Cimahi. The instrument used in this study was a set of reasoning ability tests in the form of 4-item description questions. These questions have fulfilled good questions based on validity, reliability, distinguishing features and difficulty index. Based on the results of calculations using SPSS 18 shows that the problem-based model base on Geogebra with problem-based and ordinary models has a sign value. of 0.000, because of the sign value. <0.05, it can be concluded that learning using a Geogebra-assisted problem-based model is more effective than problem-based learning models and ordinary models in terms of students' mathematical reasoning abilities. Therefore the results are obtained the application of a Geogebra-based problem-based model is more effective than a problem-based or conventional model in terms of mathematical reasoning abilities.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mengembangkan bahan ajar matematika berbantuan media tubomatika terhadap kemampuan abstraksi matematis siswa kelas VII SMP. Kemampuan abstraksi matematis ialah kemampuan dasar yang harus dimiliki siswa SMP. Implementasi bahan ajar dengan menggunakan media tubomatika ini merupakan suatu cara untuk membantu siswa dalam memahami pembelajaran matematika terutama dalam materi segiempat dan segitiga. Agar bahan ajar berkualitas maka harus memenuhi kriteria valid, praktis, dan efektif. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Research and Development (R and D) melalui penggunaan model pengembangan Plomp yang terdiri atas fase investigasi awal, fase pengembangan (pembuatan prototipe), dan fase penilaian (evaluasi). Hasil yang diperoleh dari penelitian ini yaitu validitas bahan ajar dinyatakan sangat valid dengan  hasil persentase 87% berdasarkan materi dan desain tubomatika bahan ajar, praktikalitas bahan ajar berdasarkan respon siswa dan guru sangat praktis dengan rata-rata persentase sebesar 82,20% dan efektivitas bahan ajar ini dapat dinyatakan efektif dalam meningkatkan kemampuan abstraksi siswa sebesar 71,27%. Dengan demikian, disimpulkan bahwa bahan ajar berbantuan tubomatika sangat penting untuk diterapkan pada proses pembelajaran sehingga dapat berpengaruh terhadap peningkatan kemampuan abstraksi matematis siswa kelas VII SMP. The purpose of this research is developing mathematics teaching materials that present in based tubomatika media to increase the ability of mathematical abstraction of students in grade VII junior high school. Mathematical abstraction ability is a basic ability that students must have.  The application of teaching materials using tubomatika media is one way to assist students in understanding mathematics learning, especially on rectangle and triangular material. The teaching materials that provided for students must have three criterias are valid, practical, and effective. The type of this research is the Research and Development (R and D) and using the Plomp development model. This research consist of investigation phase, development or prototype phase, and assessment phase. The result of this development research are  the validity of the teaching materials are valid with a percentage 87% on the theory aspect and the material design media tubomatika, practicality  of teaching materials based on the response of teachers and students are practice with percentage 82,20%, and the effectivity of teaching materials are effective based on communication skills of students with a percentage of 71,27%. So, it can be concluded that the tubomatika  based teaching material is very important to be applied in the learning process so that it can affect the improvement of mathematical abstraction abilities of grade VII students of junior high school.

Abstract

Penelitian  ini bertujuan untuk menelaah  efektivitas menggunakan pendekatan induktif deduktif  berbantuan Geogebra terhadap peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kreatif matematis siswa. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini  adalah metode kuasi eksperimen. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas XI SMA Negeri 1 Batujajar, sedangkan sampelnya dipilih dua kelas, yaitu kelas XI IPA 5 dan XI IPA 2 yang banyaknya 68 siswa. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah seperangkat tes kemampuan berpikir kreatif yang berbentuk soal uraian sebanyak 4 soal. Soal tersebut sudah memenuhi soal yang baik berdasarkan validitas, reliabilitas, daya pembeda dan indeks kesukaran. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan pada penelitian ini antara lain analisis deskriptif dan analisis inferensial meliputi uji N-gain, uji normalitas, uji homogenitas, dan uji T-test (Independent Samples T-test) atau uji Mann-Whitney. Berdasarkan hasil perhitungan menggunakan SPSS 18 diperoleh hasil bahwa pendekatan induktif deduktif berbantuan Geogebra dengan pendekatan  biasa memiliki nilai sign. sebesar 0,000, karena nilai sign. < 0,05, maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa pembelajaran menggunakan pendekatan induktif deduktif berbantuan Geogebra lebih efektif dibandingkan pendekatan biasa ditinjau dari  kemampuan berpikir matematis siswa.

Abstract

Tujuan pada penelitian ini ialah  mengembangkan modul geometri analitik berbasis REACT berbantuan geogebra yang memenuhi kriteria valid, praktis dan efektif.untuk mahasiswa IKIP Siliwangi. Adapun model yang digunakan dalam pengembangaan yaitu model 4-D (Define, Design, Development, dan Disseminate). Subjek penelitian ini mahasiswa Pendidikan Matematika angkatan 2020 berjumlah 18 orang. Alat pengumpulan data pada penelitian ini berupa  angket serta tes yang memuat soal uraian mengenai kemampuan berpikir kritis. Dari hasil pengolahan data didapat kesimpulan bahwa modul pembelajaran yang dikembangkan dikategorikan valid dengan nilai rata-rata sebesar 92,06, dikategorikan praktis dengan nilai rata-rata sebesar 72,85 dan dikategorikan efektif dengan nilai rata-rata sebesar 75,25. Denga demikian modul geometri analitik berbasis REACT berbantuan geogebra sangat tepat digunakan dalam pembelajaran geometri untuk tingkat mahasiswa. The purpose of this study is to develop an analytical geometry module based on REACT with the aid of geogebra that meets the valid, practical and effective criteria for students of IKIP Siliwangi. The model used in the development is a 4-D model (Define, Design, Development, and Disseminate). The subjects of this study were 18 students of Mathematics Education class of 2020. Data collection tools in this study were in the form of questionnaires and tests containing descriptions of critical thinking skills. From the results of data processing, it can be concluded that the learning module developed is categorized as valid with an average value of 92.06, categorized as practical with an average value of 72.85 and categorized as effective with an average value of 75.25. Thus, the REACT-based analytic geometry module with the aid of Geogebra is very appropriate to be used in geometry learning for the student level.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe the errors made by students when solving problems on the material of circles and conic sections. The method used in this study is a qualitative descriptive method. The subjects in the study consisted of 30 students of the Mathematics Education Study Program, IKIP Siliwangi Bandung. The instrument of this research is a written test in the form of a description of 4 questions. The data processing was carried out in three stages, namely the reduction stage, the presentation and drawing conclusions from the data. Based on the results of the study, it showed that students' errors in solving analytic geometry problems consisted of conceptual, procedural and technical errors. The causes of conceptual errors are student errors in stating the formula used when solving the problems presented, students do not understand the material and do not know how to solve problems. The cause of procedural errors is that students lack practice when completing the given practice questions, students do not understand the process of solving problems correctly. The cause of technical errors is the lack of skill of students in the process of calculating in an operation and students' inaccuracy in the calculation process, less thorough and in a hurry when solving problems so they do not re-check what has been done

Abstract

The low creative thinking of junior high school students and the lack of use of ICT-based learning media are problems in this study. The research aims to determine the effectiveness of scientific learning with the help of VBA Excel in students' creative thinking. The experimental method is the method used in this study with a Non Equivalent Control Group Design, the samples were taken from two classes in one junior high school in the city of Cimahi. The instrument used is in the form of a creative thinking ability test, which consists of 5 questions. The results in this study conclude that scientific learning with the help of VBA Excel is more effective than ordinary learning in terms of creative thinking skills.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to examine the effectiveness of applying Geogebra-assisted REACT strategy to improve students' critical thinking. The experimental method is the method chosen in this study. The population of this study were all students of the Mathematics Education Study Program, IKIP Siliwangi Bandung, while the sample was students of the Class of 2020 of the Mathematics Education Study Program of 2 classes. In this study, an instrument in the form of a description of 4 items was used to measure critical thinking. Data analysis used descriptive statistics and inferential statistics with the help of SPSS version 21. Based on the results of data processing, it was concluded that the application of the REACT strategy assisted by GeoGebra was more effective in improving critical thinking skills than conventional learning.Tujuan pada penelitian ini untuk menelaah keefektifan penerapan strategi REACT berbantuan Geogebra untuk  meningkatkan berpikir kritis mahasiswa. Metode eksperimen merupakan metode yang dipilih dalam penelitian ini. Populasi penelitian ini adalah semua mahasiswa Prodi Pendidikan Matematika IKIP Siliwangi Bandung, sedangkan sampelnya adalah mahsiswa Angkatan 2020 Prodi Pendidikan Matematika sebanyak 2 kelas . Dalam penelitian ini digunakan instrumen berupa  soal uraian sebanyak 4 butir soal yang digunakan dalam mengukur berpikir kritis. Analisis data yang digunakan dengan menggunakan statistik deskriptif  dan statistik inferensial dengan bantuan SPSS versi  21. Berdasarkan hasil pengolahan data didapat kesimpulan bahwa penerapan strategi REACT berbantuan Geogebra lebih efektif dalam meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis dibandingkan pembelajaran konvensional.

Abstract

Character is very important to foster the personality of students. Character education can be realized through mathematics learning activities using the initial Android application according to the technological development society in the 5.0 era. In research conducted. This study aims to analyze the development of the scratch application and the improvement of student’s mathematical creative thinking after using the scratch application. The method used is R&D (Research and Development)  with the Plomp model through the initial investigation stage, product design, and field testing. The subject of this study was to find seventh grade students at SMPN 3 Darma, Kuningan, West Java. The instrument used in the form of 5 items of description test, validation, analysis, and interviews which were collected online through Google Form. In this study it was found that; 1) Scratch application that is prepared is of good quality, has valid, practical, and effective criteria, 2) Scratch application is effective for mathematical creative thinking skills, 3) Student and teacher responses to scratch application are very positive. So the scratch application can help and make it easier for students to learn and is very good to continue to be developed.

Abstract

Pembelajaran matematika yang bernuansa interaktif dan sesuai dengan kompetensi pedagogik perlu diterapkan untuk menciptakan peserta didik agar berprestasi dan memiliki kemampuan matematis yang sistematis, luwes, dan logis. Namun, penalaran matematis siswa masih rendah dan masih adanya paradigma siswa bahwa matematika itu sulit. Untuk mengatasi kesulitan siswa dengan menggunakan bahan ajar ETICA matematik berbasis VBA yang digunakan pada penelitian. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis efektivitas bahan ajar dan melihat perbedaan peningkatan kemampuan penalaran siswa yang mengunakan bahan ajar ETICA matematik dengan siswa yang menggunakan pembelajaran biasa. Metode penelitian yang digunakan ialah quasi eksperimen dengan mengujicobakan pembelajaran dan praktik baru terhadap siswa. Subjek pada penelitian ini yaitu siswa kelas IX SMPN 1 Cisarua, dengan ketentuan kelas IX-H sebagai kelas eksperimen berjumlah 21 siswa dan kelas IX-G sebagai kelas kontrol sebanyak 21 siswa. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah wawancara, dokumentasi, dan tes butir soal bangun ruang sisi lengkung tipe uraian. Prosedur pengolahan data menggunakan SPSS 15.0 dan Microsoft Excel dengan analisis statistika deskriptif dan statistika inferensial. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa  bahan ajar ETICA matematik efektif, dalam meningkatkan kemampuan penalaran matematis siswa,  Mathematical learning that is interactive and in accordance with pedagogic competencies needs to be applied to create students so that they excel and have mathematical abilities that are systematic, flexible, and logical. However, students' mathematical reasoning is still low and there is still a student paradigm that mathematics is difficult. To overcome students' difficulties by using VBA-based mathematical ETICA teaching materials used in research. This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of teaching materials and see differences in the increase in the reasoning abilities of students who use ETICA mathematics teaching materials and students who use ordinary learning. The research method used is quasi-experimental by testing new learning and practices on students. The subjects in this study were students of class IX SMPN 1 Cisarua, with the provision that class IX-H as the experimental class consisted of 21 students and class IX-G as the control class consisted of 21 students. The instruments used were interviews, documentation, and item tests on the description type of curvature. Data processing procedures using SPSS 15.0 and Microsoft Excel with descriptive statistical analysis and inferential statistics. The results of the study showed that the mathematics ETICA teaching materials were effective in improving students' mathematical reasoning abilities

Abstract

Online learning is a new alternative for the continuity of learning activities during the Covid-19 period, where learning is carried out online through various media or ICT used. This research aims to see the analyze how difficult students mathematical in working on mathematical problems, especially in quadrilateral and triangular material. The subject of this study were students of class VII at MTs Negeri Kabupaten Bandung Barat. The instrument used were written tests in the form of essays which numbered 5 questions and a student questionnaire via a google form. This research method uses descriptive analysis, to find out the student's mistakes in solving problems. Processing data is calculated in the form of average student scores obtained by analysis used on Taksonomi Bloom cognitive. The results showed that students achievement in the process of solving triangular and quadrilateral problems based on the stage of Taksonomi Bloom is based on the stage of Taksonomi Bloom, namely, at the cognitive stage the most is in stage C5 and C6 there is evaluation and creation, then in C2, C3, and C4 also still less than 60%. Thus it can be seen that the level of student understanding of rectangular and triangular material is still relatively low so that there is difficulty in solving students' problems on rectangular and triangular material based on Taksonomi Bloom stages.
