Abstract

Background: Nausea and vomiting in early pregnancy is something that is normal for all pregnant women to experience as long as the intensity is not excessive. This has an impact on pregnant women and also the fetus, causing fluid, nutrition and weight loss. Purpose: The aim of this study was to determine the effect of consuming Kepok bananas (Musa Paradisiaca Formatypica) on reducing the intensity of nausea and vomiting in women in first trimester gravida. Methods: This study used a pre-experiment design with one group pre-post test in which pregnant women were given boiled kepok bananas for 40 minutes 3 times a day for 7 days. The population in this study was pregnant women in the first trimester who experienced nausea and vomiting. The sample size was 36 respondents. . The sampling technique uses random sampling. The independent variable is consumption of kepok bananas while the dependent variable is intensity of nausea and vomiting. This research uses a questionnaire with Wilcoxon test data analysis Result: The results of the research showed that before being given Kepok bananas, the majority (75.0%) experienced moderate nausea and vomiting, as many as 27 respondents. After being given Banana Kepok, most of the 18 respondents (50.0%) did not experience nausea and vomiting. Based on the results of statistical tests, it is known that the p value is 0.000. Because the value of 0.000 is smaller than <0.05, it can be concluded that the "hypothesis is accepted" that there is an effect of giving Kepok bananas (Musa Paradisiaca F) on the intensity of nausea and vomiting in Gravida mothers in the first trimester. Conclusion: Boiled kepok bananas have the highest vitamin B6 content, namely kepok bananas that are boiled for 40 minutes with vitamin levels (0.3646), so that vitamin B6 levels will reduce the intensity of nausea and vomiting.

Abstract

Background: Postpartum anemia is a significant health problem that contributes to maternal morbidity and mortality. It is estimated that 50–80% of women experience anemia within 48 hours after childbirth. In Indonesia, postpartum anemia is among the leading causes of maternal mortality. Effective and affordable interventions are urgently needed to improve maternal outcomes. Moringa (Moringa oleifera) leaves are rich in iron and essential nutrients that may support hemoglobin synthesis. Purpose: This study aimed to evaluate the effect of Moringa leaf extract on hemoglobin levels in postpartum women with anemia. Methods: A quasi-experimental study was conducted among postpartum women diagnosed with anemia. Participants were divided into an intervention group receiving Moringa leaf extract and a control group receiving standard care. Hemoglobin levels were measured before and after the intervention. Data were analyzed using paired and independent statistical tests with a significance level of p<0.05. Results: The intervention significantly improved hemoglobin levels, with the mean rising from 8.65 g/dL pre-test to 10.93 g/dL post-test (p < 0.05). The average increase of 2.27 g/dL was accompanied by a more uniform distribution, indicating effective enhancement of maternal hemoglobin status after intervention. Conclusion: Moringa leaf extract is effective in increasing hemoglobin levels among anemic postpartum women. This low-cost, natural intervention can be considered as a complementary strategy in the management of postpartum anemia, particularly in low- and middle-income settings. Further large-scale randomized controlled trials are recommended to confirm these findings.

The population in this study is the entire youth SMP YBPK Kota Kediri as many as 50 respondents, sample 24 respondents selected using accidental sampling technique. Free variables are educational media card games about reproductive health and bound variables are knowledge. Quartet card media educational instruments use SOP, and knowledge using questionnaires. Data analysis using the Wilcoxon test. Results: The results of the statistical tests showed that the value of Asymp.Sig. (2-tailed) is 0.01 less than 0.05, then Ha is accepted, meaning there is an influence of the educational media of the quartet card game on reproductive health on knowledge in adolescents. Conclusion: Quartet media can create enjoyable learning situations that can enhance adolescent knowledge about reproductive health.

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to analyze the factors that influence the interest of pregnant women in the PPIA (Prevention of Mother-to-Child Transmission) examination in Senggreng Village, Sumberpucung District, Malang Regency. Methods: The design of this research is quantitative with correlative analytic type. The population of this study were all third trimester pregnant women in Senggreng Village, as many as 31 people. By using the total sampling technique obtained a sample of 31 people. Analysis of the data used is multiple logistic regression. Results: The results showed that the parity factor with a value of p = 0.034 and the level of knowledge with a value of p = 0.040 had an effect on the interest of pregnant women in the PPIA (Prevention of Mother-to-Child Transmission)  examination. And the dominant factor that influences the request for pregnant women in the PPIA (Prevention of Mother-to-Child Transmission) examination is the parity factor with the Exp(?) value of 6.153. Conclusion: Increasing the knowledge of pregnant women about the importance of PPIA (Prevention of Mother-to-Child Transmission) as well as accurate information related to the schedule for the implementation of the PPIA (Prevention of Mother-to-Child Transmission) examination should be improved. Abstract

Background: Research related to the implementation of breastfeeding guidelines after the COVID-19 pandemic in healthy breastfeeding mothers is still minimal, even though the mother's behavior in implementing breastfeeding guidelines correctly can ensure the safety of breastfeeding. Purpose: This study aims describe the behavior of mothers in breastfeeding during and after COVID-19 pandemic. Methods: This study used a cross-sectional design. The sample in this study were breastfeeding mothers who had babies aged less than 6 months who met the inclusion criteria and obtained a total of 94 respondents. The research instrument used a questionnaire. Mother's behavior in breastfeeding is categorized into good, moderate and sufficient categories. Data analysis used the wilcoxon signed ranks test to compare behavior during and after the COVID-19 pandemic. Results: During the pandemic, the behavior of mothers in the moderate category was more than the good or sufficient category, which was 42.6%. Meanwhile, after the pandemic, there was no maternal behavior in the sufficient category, while the good category was more than the moderate category, which was 71.3%. The Wilcoxon Rank Test results obtained p-value=0.000, there was a significant difference between the behavior of mothers in breastfeeding during and after the COVID-19 pandemic. Conclusion: The covid-19 pandemic period for breastfeeding mothers is an external stimulus, it is hoped that mothers can make changes to the right breastfeeding pattern in accordance with health protocols as an effort to control and prevent the spread of covid-19 during the breastfeeding process, because the benefits of breastfeeding far exceed the potential for COVID-19 transmission.
