Abstract

Background: Increasing cases of COVID-19 in Indonesia every day and creating new clusters. One of the reasons for the increase in cases is the level of knowledge about COVID-19. Knowledge is a person's foundation in practicing his activities every day. A good practice is based on a good level of knowledge.Objectives: The research objective is to see an overview of the knowledge and practices of Indonesian society in dealing with the COVID-19 outbreak.Methods: This study used a cross-sectional design with 6,557 respondents, the criteria were above 16 years old who live in Indonesia. The research was conducted in June 2020. The questionnaire is an e-survey using google form media and is distributed via social media (Whatsapp, Facebook, and Instagram). The knowledge and practice of the people in this statistical analysis used only univariate analysis.Results: The results show that in general the knowledge of the Indonesian people is correct from the 12 questions asked. The mean score of knowledge of male respondents was 75.13±29.47, while for women it was 77.16±26.50. The average practice score of male respondents was 81.33±19.95, while the female respondents were 87.18±16.13.Conclusion: The higher the knowledge, the better the community practices in preventing and reducing the transmission of the COVID-19 outbreak.

Abstract

Background: The organization of hospital meals aims to help and accelerate the patient's healing process, shorten the length of treatment and save on medical costs. The quality and taste of the food to be served can satisfy consumers or customers and the cost of providing services can be reduced to the lowest possible level and does not reduce the quality of service.Objectives: To find out the effect of training on increasing the knowledge of food handlers.Methods: The study used a Quasi-Experiment design with a one group pre-test and post-test approach. A sample of 13 handlers was taken according to the total population. This research was conducted at Kindergarten II Iskandar Muda Hospital, Banda Aceh, from February to March 2019. The research variable was the effect of training on increasing the knowledge and skills of food handlers in food management. Data analysis using T-test dependent.Results: Before being given food management training, the average knowledge was 24.77 and skills were 36.00. Meanwhile, after being given training, the average knowledge increased to 92.77 and skills to 113.69. Statistical results showed that the effect of training on increasing knowledge (p= 0.000) and also the skills of food handlers increased significantly (p= 0.000).Conclusion: The training that has been given to food handlers on food handling can improve knowledge for the better and improve the skills of handlers in carrying out food handling at the hospital.

Abstract

Background: Wasting is nutritional status in school children. In the community it is known as thin nutrition which is an important public health problem because it has a big impact. Thin nutrition can increase the risk of illness and death in children.Objectives: To  determine  the  risk  factors  for  wasting  nutrition  in  children  of  Kulam  Data Elementary School in Lhoknga District.Methods: This study is descriptive analytic with cross-sectional research design. The number of samples is 57 people. The research variables consisted of diet, energy intake, protein intake and nutritional status with the incidence of wasting nutrition in school children in Kulam Data Elementary School Lhoknga District. Aceh Besar District. The study was conducted in June 2019. Data analysis used a chi-square test with a desired level of confidence of 95%. Research data is presented in tabular and textual forms.Results: The results of the study showed that more energy intake was in the sufficient category (84.4%). While the diversity of food consumption is more in the medium category which is equal to 64.7%. There is an influence between energy intake on the incidence of wasting nutrition in school children (p= 0.022) and there is an influence  between  the  diversity of  food  consumption  on  the  incidence  of  wasting  in  school children (p= 0.041).Conclusion: Regarding energy intake, the diversity of food consumption with balanced wasting nutrition. To  avoid  malnutrition,  treatment  is  needed  from  the  school,  health  center,  and parents. This is necessary so that children can meet the nutritional needs of energy sources, proteins, fats in accordance with the portion of balanced nutrition.

Abstract

Background: Children who often suffered from diseases will affect their nutritional status.Purpose: To determine the risk factors of disease history with nutritional status among stunted children under-five in Pidie Jaya Regency.Methods: A descriptive-analytic study with a cross-sectional design. Total sample were 34 children. Weaning initiation patterns and disease history were obtained through interviews with questionnaire. The nutritional status among children under five were measured by anthropometric. Data were analyzed using chi-square test.Results: Children's disease history in the last three months were correlated with the nutritional status on the HAZ index (P-value = 0.015 (0.05) with OR = 6.0. There was no correlation betweeen disease history with the nutritional status by WAZ and WHZ index (P-value 0.05).Conclusion: The history of the disease in the last 3 months has a significant relationship with HAZ of children under five.

Abstract

Traditional food also proves as functional food wich prevents degenerative diseases. The fact shows in children's school the traditional food is less popular than modern food (nontraditional). But modern snacks have a negatively impact on health status. This habit will not occur if the children get knowledge about good nutrition. The aim of this research is to find out the effect of nutritional counseling on traditional food toward children's knowledge and attitude at Elementry School 11st in Banda Aceh. Quasi-experimental research was conducted on 33 students drawn randomly, measured before and after the extension of knowledge respondents using a questionnaire form, and data analysis used a T-test statistical tests dependent on CI: 95%. The results, the average level of knowledge of children before and after the extension is 10, 45, and 11,88. The average behavior before and after counseling was 6,73 and 7,09. In conclusion, counseling has an influence in increasing the knowledge of schoolchildren about traditional snacks but does not affect changing the behavior of elementary school children. Suggestions need to increase outreach using media in changing the behavior of elementary school children. Jajanan tradisional merupakan makanan fungsional, yang dapat mencegah beberapa jenis penyakit degenerative. Fakta menunjukkan bahwapada anak sekolah jajanan tradisional kurang digemari dibandingkan jajanan modern (non tradisional). Namun, jajanan  moderen (non tradisional) berdampak negatif terhadap status kesehatan. Apabila setiap anak tidak memiliki pengetahuan dan perilaku tentang gizi, maka mereka akan salah dalam memilih jajanan yang sehat. Penelitian  bertujuan untuk mengukur pengaruh penyuluhan gizi tentang jajanan tradisional terhadap tingkat pengetahuan dan perilaku anak. Desain penelitian kuasi eksperimen pada 33 siswa sekolah dasar,  dengan pendekatan pre-postest observational, sebelum dan sesudah penyuluhan diukur pengetahuan responden dengan menggunakan form kuesioner, dan analisa data menguunakan uji statistik T-test dependen pada CI:95%. Hasil, rata-rata  tingkat pengetahuan anak sebelum dan sesudah penyuluhan adalah 10,45 dan 11,88. Rata-rata perilaku sebelum dan sesudah diberikan penyuluhan adalah 6,73 dan 7,09. Kesimpulan, penyuluhan mempunyai pengaruh dalam meningkatkan pengetahuan anak sekolah tentang jajanan tradisional, namun tidak berpengaruh dalam mengubah perilaku anak-anak sekolah dasar. Saran, perlu peningkatan penyuluhan dengan menggunakan media dalam mengubah perilaku anak-anak sekolah dasar.

Abstract

In March 2020 the public was shocked by the Covid-19 pandemic which began to spread to Indonesian territory. Covid-19 is caused by severe acute respiratory syndrome Coronavirus 2 (Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome Coronavirus 2 or SARS-CoV-2) and is an infectious disease. Naturally, Covid-19 pandemic affects people's attitudes to adopt a healthier lifestyle. The research objective was to analyze the description of the attitudes and lifestyles of the Indonesian people during the Covid-19 pandemic. This study used a cross-sectional design with random sampling and data collection was done by distributing online questionnaires via WhatsApp. Data analysis used the univariate test with the number of respondents as many as 6.557 people. The results showed that the attitudes of respondents regarding the Covid-19 pandemic obtained 6.136 respondents agreed that Covid-19 could be controlled, 6.038 respondents agreed that Indonesia would be free from the coronavirus and 6.489 respondents agreed that consumption of balanced nutritional food, maintaining distance and washing hands properly can prevent the transmission of Covid-19. A total of 3,861 respondents did physical activity less than 3 times a week, 6.234 respondents processed their food, 3,309 respondents sometimes consumed fruit and vegetables, 5.111 respondents always washed their hands using running water and soap, 3.576 respondents sometimes sunbathing above 9 o'clock. Overall, the respondents' behavior towards pandemic conditions shows an optimistic attitude that they can avoid Covid-19 by making healthier lifestyle changes.

Abstract

Stunting in toddlers is one of the big problems that can threaten the development of the Quality of Human Resources, that can have an impact on national development. Quality human resources can be obtained by consuming adequate food, both in quantity, quality and balance. Associated with the problem of stunting food consumption in Aceh Province based on the Score Desirable Dietary Pattern as DDP is still less than DDP ideal is 70.0. This study aims to determine the association of food consumption and the Hope Food Pattern score with the prevalence of stunting in Aceh Province. This research is a descriptive analytic with the Cross-Sectional. Study design. The study used secondary data, National Census data analysis and Nutritional Status Monitoring 2016. The analysis used is a regression. The results showed that the average energy and protein consumption in households in Aceh Province was 2.276 kcal of energy and 65,21 grams of protein. The average energy and protein consumption are in the normal category of 105,8% (energy) and 114,0% (protein). The diversity of food consumption has not been varied enough based on the average score in Aceh Province is 77,8. Stunting is a public health problem with a mild problem category known from the average value of stunting prevalence of 26,3%. There was no relationship from AKE (p= 0,430), PPA (p= 0,274) and PPH score (p= 0,259) with stunting prevalence based on District / City in Aceh Province in 2016. The conclusion is There was no significant relationship between stunting and Energy Adequacy Rate (AKE), Protein Adequacy Rate (PPA), and Score DDP.Sumber daya manusia yang dapat berakibat pada pembangunan nasional. Terkait dengan masalah stunting konsumsi pangan di Provinsi Aceh berdasarkan Skor Pola Pangan Harapan (PPH) masih kurang dari ideal yaitu 70,0. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui keterkaitan konsumsi pangan dan skor Pola Pangan Harapan (PPH) dengan prevalensi stunting di Provinsi Aceh . Penelitian ini bersifat deskriptif analitik dengan desain Cross Secsional Study. Penelitian menggunakan data sekunder yaitu data konsumsi (Susenas) dan data stunting balita survei (PSG). Pengumpulan data dengan cara wawancara menggunakan kuesioner food list (data konsumsi pangan), sementara data status gizi dengan cara penimbangan berat badan pengukuran tinggi badan. Analisis  yang digunakan adalah  korelasi regresi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan rata-rata konsumsi energi dan protein pada rumahtangga di Provinsi Aceh adalah sebesar 2.276 kkal energi dan 65.21 gram protein.  Rata-rata  konsumsi energi dan protein pada rumah tangga di Provinsi Aceh berada pada kategori normal 105,8% AKE dan 114,0% AKP. Keragaman pangan konsumsi pangan belum cukup beragam diketahui berdasarkan nilai rata-rata  skor PPH sebesar 77,8,  skor maksimum 92,5 dan skor minimum 64,2. Masalah stunting merupakah masalah kesehatan masyarakat dengan kategori masalah ringan diketahui dari nilai rata-rata prevalensi stunting sebesar 26,3%. Tidak terdapat hubungan AKE (P=0,430), AKP (p=0,274) dan skor PPH (p=0,259) dengan prevalensi stunting. Kesimpulan adalah tidak terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara stunting dengan Angka kecukupan Energi (AKE), Angka Kecukupan Protein (AKP), dan Skor PPH.

Abstract

Beberapa faktor penentu peningkatan berat badan pada anak-anak dan remaja selain kebiasaan konsumsi makanan yang cenderung tinggi lemak dan kurang serat serta kurangnya aktivitas fisik. Penelitian observasional dengan desain  cross sectional. Penelitian ini dilakukan di Jurusan Gizi Poltekkes Kemenkes Aceh. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh mahasiswa prodi D-III Jurusan Gizi. Jenis data yang dikumpulkan yaitu komposisi lemak tubuh diperoleh dengan memperhitungkan lemak visceral dan subkutan diukur dengan menggunakan calliper skinfolds dengan menggunakan metode Womersley. Aktivitas fisik dikumpulkan dari hasil recall aktivitas selama 1x24 jam yang dilakukan selama dua hari yaitu hari kuliah dan hari libur kuliah (weekend). Pengukuran aktivitas fisik dilakukan terhadap jenis aktivitas yang dilakukan seseorang selama 24 jam dinyatakan dalam PAL (Physical Activity Level). Konsumsi buah dan sayur diperoleh dengan wawancara menggunakan  metode Food Recall 1x24 Jam. Hasil penelitian lebih dari separuh sampel (55.4%) memiliki status gizi normal, selanjutnya diikuti status gizi obese dan Underweight yaitu masing-masing (13.8%) dan status gizi Overweight yaitu sebesar (9.2%). sebagian besar sampel memiliki komposisi lemak tubuh pada kategori normal (73.3%) dan sampel memiliki komposisi lemak tubuh pada kategori gemuk (26.7%). Sebagian besar sampel memiliki aktivitas fisik pada kategori ringan, baik untuk aktivitas di hari kuliah (93.3%), di hari libur (83.3%) maupun di hari (kuliah dan libur) (81.7%). Berdasarkan uji korelasi Spearman tidak menunjukkan hubungan yang signifikan anatara aktivitas fisik dengan IMT dan komposisi lemak tubuh. Kesimpulan menunjukkan tidak terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara aktivitas fisik dengan IMT dan komposisi lemak tubuh. Namun terdapat kecenderungan pada sampel yang memiliki aktivitas ringan memiliki IMT dan komposisi lemak tubuh yang lebih tinggi atau obese. Kata kunci: Aktivitas fisik, IMT, komposisi lemak tubuh
