Abstract

Community Service The Program for Implementing Science and Technology in the Community (PbM-PPIM) aims at several things, including motivating and providing education to the community about the importance of meeting food intake needs independently, optimizing Hydroponic technology by building a Greenhouse. To achieve this goal, this program will provide materials and tools in the form of Greenhouses, such as iron, paranet, UV plastic, paralon, netpots, rockwool, water pumps, etc., as well as vegetable seeds to the community.. The method that will be used in this program is through patterned and structured outreach activities by providing information and education to the public about Hydroponic technology and Greenhouse construction. Apart from that, this program will also provide ongoing assistance and evaluation to the community so that they can maximize vegetable production using Hydroponic technology and minimize plant pests. Thus, it is hoped that this program can help the community improve food security and the family economy through Hydroponic technology and Greenhouse construction.

Abstract

Abstrak Hasil observasi di lapangan serta data SIGA 2023 Kecamatan Cipedes, Kelurahan Sukamanah memiliki 7.631 jumlah keluarga dengan 2.393 jumlah keluarga berisiko stunting (KRS), dengan data balita stunting-nya sebanyak 163 orang. Kelurahan Sukamanah juga banyak pohon kelor yang tumbuh liar namun jarang dimanfaatkan oleh warga sekitar. Salah satu penyebab pemanfaatan daun kelor yang tidak optimal di masyarakat adalah kurangnya pengetahuan mengenai manfaat daun kelor. Tujuan kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini untuk memberikan edukasi, sosialisasi dan praktik kepada masyarakat di Kelurahan Sukamanah mengenai pemanfaatan daun kelor sebagai olahan makanan “Moringa Cookies Bar (Mocoobar)” untuk pencegahan stunting. Kegiatan dilaksanakan pada tanggal 11 Juli 2024 dengan mitra yang terlibat adalah anggota Kampung KB, ibu-ibu kader, jumlah peserta sebanyak 20 orang ibu rumah tangga usia produktif Kp Babakan Kalangsari, Sukamanah, Cipedes. Metode pelaksanaan yang digunakan adalah service learning dengan 4 tahapan yaitu investigasi, persiapan, tindakan dan evaluasi. Hasil kegiatan yaitu perbandingan sebelum dan sesudah kegiatan terjadi peningkatan pengetahuan dari 55% masyarakat mengetahui manfaat daun kelor 70% dan 75% peserta dapat memahami penjelasan untuk mengikuti praktik pembuatan Mocoobar, 55% kemungkinan pembuatan “Mocoobar” secara mandiri. Olahan makanan dan resep yang diberikan pada kegiatan ini dapat dimanfaatkan sebagai cemilan untuk berbagai kegiatan atau sebagai PMT di posyandu.   Kata kunci: daun kelor; mocoobar; sosialisasi; stunting. Abstract The results of observations in the field as well as SIGA 2023 data, Cipedes District, Sukamanah Village, has 7,631 families with 2,393 families at risk of stunting (KRS), with data on 163 stunted toddlers. Sukamanah Village also has many wild moringa trees that grow but are rarely used by local residents. One of the causes of the suboptimal use of moringa leaves in the community is the lack of knowledge about the benefits of moringa leaves. The purpose of this community service activity is to provide education, socialization and practice to the community in Sukamanah Village regarding the use of moringa leaves as a processed food "Moringa Cookies Bar (Mocoobar)" to prevent stunting. The activity was carried out on July 11, 2024 with partners involved being members of the KB Village, cadre mothers, the number of participants was 20 productive-age housewives from Babakan Kalangsari Village, Sukamanah, Cipedes. The implementation method used is service learning with 4 stages, namely investigation, preparation, action and evaluation. The results of the activity, namely the comparison before and after the activity, there was an increase in knowledge from 55% of the community knowing the benefits of Moringa leaves 70% and 75% of participants could understand the explanation to follow the practice of making Mocoobar, 55% possibility of making "Mocoobar" independently. The processed food and recipes given in this activity can be used as snacks for various activities or as PMT at the integrated health post.   Keywords: moringa leaves; mocoobar; socialization; stunting.

Abstract

Penelitian ini menyelidiki filosofi dan aktivitas matematika yang tertanam dalam menentukan hari baik untuk upacara pernikahan dan khitanan di Desa Adat Kuta. Dengan menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan etnografi, pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi terhadap tokoh adat, tetua adat, dan anggota masyarakat. Temuan ini mengungkapkan enam aktivitas matematika mendasar yang selaras dengan nilai-nilai budaya lokal: penghitungan (digunakan untuk menghitung kesesuaian dan menentukan hari baik), penempatan (untuk mengidentifikasi tanggal terlarang dan posisi spasial), pengukuran (untuk mengurutkan hari dan menyelaraskan waktu), perancangan (untuk mengatur tanggal dan waktu menurut adat istiadat), bermain (mengamati aturan dan menafsirkan hasil), dan menjelaskan (memberikan interpretasi perhitungan yang bermakna). Studi ini menunjukkan bahwa praktik etnomatematika ini tidak hanya mendukung tradisi lokal tetapi juga memperkuat identitas budaya dan warisan masyarakat Kuta. Integrasi konsep matematika seperti penjumlahan, pembagian, modulo aritmatika, dan barisan aritmatika dalam kebiasaan ini mengungkapkan hubungan rumit antara matematika dan praktik budaya, menawarkan perspektif unik untuk pendidikan matematika yang responsif terhadap budaya. This study investigates the philosophy and mathematical activities embedded in determining auspicious days for marriage and circumcision ceremonies in Kuta Traditional Village. Employing qualitative research methods with an ethnographic approach, data were gathered through observations, interviews, and documentation from traditional leaders, elders, and community members. The findings reveal six fundamental mathematical activities that align with local cultural values: counting (used in calculating compatibility and determining favorable days), locating (for identifying restricted dates and spatial positions), measuring (for sequencing days and aligning timings), designing (for organizing dates and times according to customs), playing (observing rules and interpreting outcomes), and explaining (providing meaningful interpretations of calculations). This study demonstrates that these ethnomathematical practices not only support local traditions but also reinforce the cultural identity and heritage of the Kuta community. The integration of mathematical concepts such as addition, division, modulo arithmetic, and arithmetic sequences within these customs reveals the intricate relationship between mathematics and cultural practices, offering a unique perspective for culturally responsive mathematics education.   Keyword: Ethnomathematic; philosophy; mathematical activities; goodday of marriage and circumcision.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi oleh kegagalan siswa dalam menyelesaikan soal teorema Phytagoras pada tahap ketiga, keempat dan adanya kesenjangan antara potensi teknologi inovatif dengan praktik pembelajaran yang masih menggunakan metode konvensional. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan media pembelajaran interaktif dengan Articulate Storyline yang memenuhi kriteria valid, dan praktis dari penggunaan media yang dihasilkan. Metode penelitian menggunakan PPE. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui wawancara tidak terstruktur dan angket. Instrumen terdiri dari lembar validasi serta angket respon siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa media pembelajaran ini memenuhi standar kelayakan yang telah ditetapkan. Hasil uji koefisien kappa menunjukkan bahwa ada kesepakatan yang kuat dengan signifikansi rendah antara kedua kelompok rater. Kesepakatan rater materi memiliki koefisien kappa sebesar 0,625, kesepakatan rater media memiliki koefisien kappa sebesar 0,750. Nilai-nilai ini menunjukkan bahwa kedua kelompok rater telah sepakat secara signifikan dalam menilai kualitas media pembelajaran, dan hasil kesepakatan ini tidak terjadi secara kebetulan. Hasil angket menunjukkan bahwa siswa memberikan penilaian yang sangat baik terhadap kepraktisan media pembelajaran interaktif berbasis Android tersebut dalam penggunaannya. Hasil penelitian ini mengindikasikan bahwa pengembangan media pembelajaran interaktif dengan Articulate Storyline untuk materi teorema Phytagoras telah berhasil memenuhi standar validitas dari rater dan praktis dari siswa.This research is motivated by the failure of students in solving Phytagoras theorem problems in the third, fourth stages and the gap between the potential of innovative technology and learning practices that still use conventional methods. This research aims to produce interactive learning media with Articulate Storyline that meets the criteria of valid, and practical use of the resulting media. The research method uses PPE. Data collection techniques were conducted through unstructured interviews and questionnaires. The instruments consisted of validation sheets and student response questionnaires. The results showed that this learning media met the predetermined eligibility standards. The kappa coefficient test results show that there is a strong agreement with low significance between the two rater groups. The material rater agreement has a kappa coefficient of 0.625, the media rater agreement has a kappa coefficient of 0.750. These values indicate that both groups of raters have agreed significantly in assessing the quality of the learning media, and the results of this agreement did not occur by chance. The questionnaire results showed that students gave a very good assessment of the practicality of the Android-based interactive learning media in use. The results of this study indicate that the development of interactive learning media with Articulate Storyline for Phytagoras theorem material has been successful.

Abstract

Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi profil awal kemampuan literasi matematis siswa, merancang dan mengembangkan bahan ajar matematika berbasis kearifan lokal untuk meningkatkan literasi matematis, dan mendeskripsikan hasil belajar siswa setelah menggunakan bahan ajar tersebut. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan Research and Development (R&D) dengan menggunakan model ADDIE, yang meliputi lima tahap yaitu analisis, desain, pengembangan, implementasi, dan evaluasi. Pada tahap analisis, tingkat literasi matematika siswa kelas 9 di empat sekolah menengah pertama (SMPN 1 & 2 Sukahening, SMPN 6 & 14 Tasikmalaya) ditemukan pada level 2-3, berdasarkan kerangka kerja PISA. Pada tahap desain, dibuatlah rencana pembelajaran yang mengintegrasikan unsur-unsur kearifan lokal Tasikmalaya. Pada tahap pengembangan, handout interaktif dibuat dengan menggunakan Canva, dengan menggabungkan pilihan font, warna, dan grafik tematik. Soal pre-test/post-test dan kuesioner persepsi siswa juga dikembangkan dan divalidasi oleh ahli materi dan ahli media, yang menghasilkan nilai kelayakan sebesar 92% (sangat layak). Siswa menyelesaikan pre-test sebelum menggunakan handout dan post-test setelahnya, diikuti dengan kuesioner tentang kepraktisan dan persepsi. Analisis data menunjukkan peningkatan rata-rata penguasaan pembelajaran dari 50,84% (pre-test) menjadi 71,18% (post-test). Siswa memberikan tanggapan yang sangat positif mengenai isi, desain, dan relevansi budaya dari materi. Abstract This study aims to identify students' initial profiles of mathematical literacy skills, design and develop mathematics teaching materials based on local wisdom to enhance mathematical literacy, and describe students’ learning outcomes after using these materials. The research employs a Research and Development (R&D) approach using the ADDIE model, which includes five phases: analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. In the analysis phase, the mathematical literacy level of 9th-grade students at four junior high schools (SMPN 1 & 2 Sukahening, SMPN 6 & 14 Tasikmalaya) was found to be at levels 2–3, based on the PISA framework. During the design phase, lesson plans were created that integrated elements of Tasikmalaya’s local wisdom. In the development phase, interactive handouts were created using Canva, incorporating thoughtful choices of fonts, colors, and thematic graphics. Pre-test/post-test questions and student perception questionnaires were also developed and validated by a content expert and a media expert, resulting in a feasibility score of 92% (highly feasible).The implementation took place over four class sessions across the selected schools. Students completed a pre-test before using the handouts and a post-test afterward, followed by a questionnaire on practicality and perception. Data analysis showed an increase in average learning mastery from 50.84% (pre-test) to 71.18% (post-test). Students gave highly positive responses regarding the content, design, and cultural relevance of the materials.
