Abstract

The development of digital technology has had a significant impact on the lives of female students in Islamic boarding schools (santriwati), particularly in social and spiritual aspects. The high level of internet use, which is not accompanied by adequate digital literacy, has the potential to affect their socio-spiritual well-being. This study aims to formulate an Islamic counseling literacy education model to enhance the socio-spiritual well-being of santriwati in the digital era at Baitul Qur’an Islamic Boarding School, Batu Bara Regency. This study employed a descriptive qualitative approach, with data collected through interviews, observations, and documentation. The findings indicate that the model is implemented through religious guidance, instruction on morality and digital ethics, lecture and discussion methods, and individual counseling, supported by regulations limiting the use of digital devices. The model has been effective in increasing awareness of responsible technology use, discipline in religious practices, and social and spiritual balance. However, several challenges remain, including the santriwati’s low level of openness and the influence of digital devices. Therefore, further development of a more systematic model is needed.
