Abstract

Kualitas siswa dalam Program Pendidikan Biologi Universitas Veteran Bangun Nusantara tidak dalam kualitas tertinggi. Tetapi kompetensi kelulusan standar diperlukan di tingkat yang baik. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan peningkatan keterampilan dalam kegiatan belajar. Peningkatan aktivitas pembelajaran telah dilakukan melalui pendekatan saintifik berbasis lesson study pada mata kuliah sistematika tumbuhan tinggi melalui 4 siklus. Setiap siklus memiliki tahapan perencanaan-lihat-lihat. Data diperoleh dari deskripsi tahapan plan-do-see dan analisis dilakukan secara kualitatif. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa implementasi rencana itu layak dan teliti. Implementasi do bahwa perkuliahan dapat mengatur waktu dengan baik, memberikan motivasi dan ketepatan pada kesalahpahaman yang disampaikan oleh mahasiswa; selain itu, aktivitas belajar siswa dan kemandirian mereka selama kegiatan belajar semakin meningkat. Implementasi see dapat meningkatkan kolaborasi antar dosen dalam menyusun rencana selanjutnya. Studi ini menyimpulkan bahwa penerapan pendekatan ilmiah berdasarkan studi pelajaran dapat meningkatkan keterampilan dosen dalam melakukan kegiatan belajar siswa, meningkatkan kegiatan belajar siswa dan meningkatkan kemandirian siswa.Kata kunci: keterampilan belajar, lesson study, pendekatan saintifik

Abstract

Handsanitizer menjadi barang yang hampir semua orang mempunyainya pada saat pandemik Covid-19 saat ini. Eco-Handsanitizer merupakan salah satu pilihan handsanitizer bagi mereka yang mempunyai kulit sensitif. Salah satu jenis metabolit sekunder yang bersifat antibakteri, antijamur, dan antivirus; alkaloid; pada eco-handsanitizer diuji secara kualitatif menggunakan uji Wagner. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa larutan ekoenzim yang berasal dari sisa sayur dengan pengenceran 1:4  dan ditambahkan dengan Aloe vera + 300 IU vitamin E mempunyai aktivitas alkaloid yang stabil dibandingkan perlakuan yang lainnya. Hasil ini diharapkan dapat memberikan informasi ilmiah bahwa eco-handsanitizer dapat dibuat dengan perlakuan ini dengan daya simpan sampai 9 minggu.

Abstract

In today's digital era, conventional learning media has begun to be abandoned. Currently, many modern learning media have been developed such as interactive multimedia, video media, and others so that the learning process becomes fun and students are actively involved in the learning process. The purpose of this study is; to explore the diversity of ferns in the Indrokilo Boyolali Botanical Garden and develop interactive biology multimedia materials for high school. The methods used are field exploration, taxonomic identification, and development of interactive multimedia. The research location is at the Indrokilo Boyolali Botanical Garden and the research was conducted for 3 months starting from December 2022 to February 2023. The results of the research and identification at the Indrokilo Botanical Garden found 31 types of ferns from 14 families and 3 classes. The interactive multimedia developed combines text, images, animations, and interactive videos. This multimedia has been evaluated and received positive validation results, so it can be used as interactive media in high school. Interactive media with other plant samples still needs to be developed because the Indrakilo Botanical Garden is a source of plant diversity

Abstract

Silver nanoparticles have recently become one of the nanomaterials that are widely developed as antibacterial agents because they have a broad spectrum of activity against both Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria. This study aimed to synthesize silver nanoparticle using ecoenzyme solution as a reducing agent and to characterize its characters. This study was conducted in two main stages, i.e. biosynthesis which was carried out by reacting ecoenzyme solution with silver nitrate solution, and the next stage was the characterization of silver nanoparticle, including morphological analysis using spectrophotometer, scanning electron microscope (SEM), and particle size analyzer (PSA) as well as analysis of antibacterial activity. The results showed that silver nanoparticles were successfully synthesized. Morphological analysis using SEM showed that silver nanoparticles were cubic, rectangular, or spherical, while the size analysis was around at 83.64 nm, although visually, there were no visible color change to dark brown and no peak at a wavelength of 400-600 nm. Antibacterial activity analysis showed that ecoenzyme-derived silver nanoparticles had the ability to inhibit both gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria, and specifically had better antibacterial properties for gram-positive bacteria compared to the control. These results indicated that silver nanoparticle using ecoenzyme as bioreductor has the potential to be used as antibacterial agents for multidrug-resistant bacterial infections.
