Abstract

Abstract The Effectiveness of Using Quizizz Learning Media on Interest and Mathematics Learning Outcomes of Class XI IPA MAN 2 Sinjai. Essay. Sinjai: Tadris Mathematics Study Program, Faculty of Tarbiyah and Teacher Training Islamic Instutute of Muhammadiyah Sinjai, 2021. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the use of Quizizz learning media on the interest and learning outcomes of mathematics students in class XI IPA MAN 2 Sinjai. The type of research used in this research is experimental research with pre-experimental research design in the form of one group pretest posttest design, with a quantitative approach. The population in this study were all students of class XI IPA MAN 2 Sinjai totaling 24 people using total sampling technique in sampling. The results of the study based on descriptive analysis showed that: (1) the average score of students' interest in learning mathematics after the quizizz learning media was applied was 87.58 and was in the high category; (2) there is an increase in students' interest in learning mathematics after the application of the quizizz learning media by obtaining an average normalized gain value of 0.3 which is at the medium category level; (3) the average score of students' mathematics learning outcomes after the quizizz learning media was applied was 80.53 and was in the high category; (4) there is an increase in students' mathematics learning outcomes after the quizizz learning media is applied by obtaining an average normalized gain value of 0.4 which is at the level of the medium category. Based on the results of inferential statistical analysis, obtained Sig. (2-tailed) < 0.05 or 0.000 < 0.05, so that H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted, which means that there is an increase in students' interest and learning outcomes in mathematics after the application of the Quizizz learning media. From the results of this study, it can be concluded that the use of Quizizz learning media is effective on the interest and learning outcomes of mathematics students in class XI IPA MAN 2 Sinjai. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas penggunaan media pembelajaran quizizz terhadap minat dan hasil belajar matematika siswa kelas XI IPA MAN 2 Sinjai. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah penelitian eksperimen dengan desain penelitian pre-eksperimental design berupa one group pretest posttest design, dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Populasi pada penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas XI IPA MAN 2 Sinjai yang berjumlah 24 orang dengan menggunakan teknik total sampling dalam pengambilan sampel. Hasil penelitian berdasarkan analisis deskriptif menunjukkan bahwa : (1) skor rata-rata minat belajar matematika siswa setelah diterapkan media pembelajaran quizizz adalah 87,58 dan berada pada kategori tinggi; (2) terjadi peningkatan minat belajar matematika siswa setelah diterapkan media pembelajaran quizizz dengan memperoleh rata-rata nilai gain ternormalisasi adalah 0,3 yang berada pada tingkat kategori sedang; (3) skor rata-rata hasil belajar matematika siswa setelah diterapkan media pembelajaran quizizz adalah 80,53 dan berada pada kategori tinggi; (4) terjadi peningkatan hasil belajar matematika siswa setelah diterapkan media pembelajaran quizizz dengan memperoleh rata-rata nilai gain ternormalisasi adalah 0,4 yang berada pada tingkat kategori sedang. Berdasarkan hasil analisis statistik inferensial, diperoleh Sig.(2-tailed) < 0.05 atau 0.000 < 0.05, sehingga H0 ditolak dan Ha diterima yang berarti bahwa terjadi peningkatan minat dan hasil belajar matematika siswa setelah penerapan media pembelajaran quizizz. Dari hasil penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa penggunaan media pembelajaran quizizz efektif terhadap minat dan hasil belajar matematika siswa kelas XI IPA MAN 2 Sinjai. Abstract

Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian eksperimen yang bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan keefektifan penerapan model pembelajaran Glasser dengan bantuan media audio visual pada materi aritmetika sosial di kelas VII A SMPN 6 Sinjai. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VII SMP Negeri 6 Sinjai dan sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VII A sebagai kelas eksperimen yang diajar menggunakan model pembelajaran Glasser dengan bantuan media Audio Visual yang dipilih menggunakan teknik simple random sampling. Data yang dikumpulkan terdiri atas data hasil belajar siswa (pretest dan posttest), aktivitas siswa dalam pembelajaran, dan data respons siswa terhadap perangkat pembelajaran. Data aktivitas siswa dan respons siswa dianalisis menggunakan analisis deskriptif sedangkan data hasil belajar siswa dianalisis menggunakan analisis deskriptif dan analisis inferensial. Hasil analisis deskriptif dan inferensial menunjukkan bahwa penerapan model pembelajaran glasser dengan bantuan media audio visual efektif diterapkan dalam pembelajaran matematika materi aritmatika sosial siswa kelas VII A SMP Negeri 6 Sinjai ditinjau dari aspek: (a) rata-rata skor hasil belajar pada posttest lebih besar dari 71,9 (KKM) dan rata-rata gain ternormalisasi lebih besar dari 0,29 (kategori sedang), (b) rata-rata skor aktivitas belajar siswa untuk setiap pertemuan lebih dari 70% aspek pengamatan berada pada kriteria tinggi, dan (c) rata-rata skor respons siswa lebih besar dari 3,5 (kategori positif). Disimpulkan bahwa model pembelajaran Glasser dengan bantuan media audio visual efektif digunakan dalam pembelajaran matematika materi aritmetika sosial di kelas VII A SMPN 6 Sinjai

Abstract

This study was designed to describe the application of mathematics learning with metaphorical thinking in junior high school students. Mathematical learning with metaphorical thinking consists of six learning steps, namely foundation, connecting, compressed conflict, direct analogy, producing analogies, and applications. This research is a quasi-experimental study. The population of this research is all eighth grade students of SMP Negeri 15 Yogyakarta consisting of ten classes. Data collection techniques in this study is a test. The data in this study used a proportion test and paired sample tests with normal approximations. The results obtained are the method of learning mathematics with effective metaphorical thinking in junior high school students.

Abstract

This study aims to describe students' perception of the final assessment of the office 365-based mathematics semester in Sinjai District. This research uses a quantitative approach with a survey method. Descriptive research was selected to obtain exploratory data on students' perception of a final assessment of mathematics semester via office 365 in Sinjai District. The population of this study amounted to 137 people, namely all students of grade VIII, with a response rate of 100%. The sampling used is purposive sampling to get feedback on the final assessment of the math semester via office 365 that has been followed during the Covid-19 pandemic. Data collection techniques are using questionnaires distributed through a google form. Perception assessment is carried out by referring to 2 aspects, namely the flexibility aspect of applications and facilities and infrastructure. The flexibility section of the end-of-semester assessment application consists of 7 points of the statement which include: fun, concentration, enthusiasm, ease of access, timeliness of work, ease of understanding of questions, opportunities to find answers on the internet. Meanwhile, the second part consists of 3 positive statements that measure students' perception of the aspects of facilities and infrastructure used in the implementation of the final semester assessment online. The results showed that the flexibility aspect of the application obtained a perception level of 79% and the infrastructure aspect obtained a perception level of 86%. This percentage shows the feasibility or success of the final assessment of the office 365-based mathematics semester in Sinjai Regency. Overall, it can be concluded that students' perception of the final assessment of office 365-based mathematics semester in Sinjai District is positive with a perception rate of 83%.

Abstract

This study aims to describe students' creativity in realistic Mathematics Learning during the covid-19 pandemic. The research approach used is qualitative with descriptive research. The subject of this research are students at UPTD SMPN 12 Sinjai. The research instruments used include observation sheets, questionnaire sheets and interview guidelines. Triangulation used in this research is triangulation with technique. While the data analysis technique uses data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results showed that of the 4 research subjects who worked on 2 questions, it was found that all students answered correctly and correctly on question 1, but in question 2 most students answered incorrectly. This is due to a conceptual error in the application of mathematical formulas, some use the concept of a square area and a triangle area even though what is being asked in the problem is the combined perimeter of a square. So that most of the research subjects answered the questions incorrectly. So it can be concluded that realistic mathematics must first understand the basic mathematical concepts and then be able to realize the concepts.

Abstract

Analysis of Students' Mathematical Understanding in Solving Real 1 Analysis Question Viewed from the Cognitive Style Field Dependent and Field Independent of Mathematic Education Study Program IAI Muhammadiyah Sinjai. Thesis. Sinjai: Mathematic Education Study Program. Faculty of Tarbiyah and Teacher Training IAI Muhammadiyah Sinjai, 2021. This study aims to describe: (1) students' mathematical understanding in solving real 1 analysis questions in terms of cognitive style field dependent; (2) students' mathematical understanding in solving real 1 analysis questions in terms of cognitive style field independent. This research is a case study research using a qualitative approach. The subjects of this study were students of fourth semester of the Mathematic Education Study Program. The method of data collection is by interview and solve question test. While the data analysis is done through data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions. The results of this study indicate that students' mathematical understanding in solving real 1 analysis questions in terms of cognitive style field dependent, namely students understand the problem by reading the problem, making an understood plan of completion and then completing the solution plan based on the understanding of previous learning, then checking the answers by rereading the question. Thus, students do not understand mathematically the test of solving real 1 analysis question given. Meanwhile, students' mathematical understanding in solving real 1 analysis questions in terms of cognitive style field independent, namely students understand the problem by reading the questions, making a solution plan that is understood and considered appropriate and then completes the plan based on the steps that have been made and understanding in previous learning then checks the answers by testing the solution steps. Thus, students do not understand mathematically the test of solving real 1 analysis question given even though students have completed the test and can explain the steps for solving it.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the types of learning difficulties experienced by students in exponential material on the subject matter of rank forms and root forms. The type of research used in this study is Descriptive with a Qualitative approach. The subjects in this study were two class X 2 students at UPTD SMA Negeri 5 Sinjai. The research sampling technique used is purposive sampling. Taking two students as a sample with consideration of students who have moderate mathematical skills and good communication skills. The data collection techniques in this study were in the form of tests and interviews. Qualitative data analysis techniques in this study, namely: data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results showed that the learning difficulties experienced by the subjects were the same, namely errors in the process of solving questions.

Abstract

The Effectiveness of the CPS (Creative Problem Solving) Learning Model with the Kahoot Application Media Oriented to the Problem Solving Ability of Class VII Students of MTs. Darul Ihsan Salohe Boarding School. Thesis, Sinjai: Tadris Mathematics (TM) Study Program, Faculty of Tarbiyah and Teacher Training, Islamic Institute of Muhammadiyah (IAIM) Sinjai, 2021. This study aims to test the effectiveness of the CPS (Creative Problem Solving) learning model with the ability-oriented Kahoot application media problem-solving for class VII students of the Islamic boarding school Darul Ihsan Salohe. This research is experimental research using a quantitative approach. The subjects of this study were students of Class VII MTs. Darul Ihsan Salohe Boarding School. The methods of data collection were tests, questionnaires, observation, and documentation. Meanwhile, the data analysis used Descriptive Statistics and Inferential Statistical Analysis. The results showed that the CPS (Creative Problem Solving) Learning Model with the Kahoot application media using the Paired sample t-test was found that a sig value of 0.000 <0.05, it can be said to be effective. The effectiveness criteria based on the results of the n-gain is 0.254 and is in the low category. This is also supported by the test results of students' problem-solving abilities after the application of the CPS (Creative Problem Solving) learning model is better than the test results before the application of the CPS (Creative Problem Solving) learning model, student activities in CPS (Creative Problem Solving) learning are in the category high, and student responses to CPS (Creative Problem Solving) learning are positive.

Abstract

This study aims to describe students' learning difficulties in solving math problems for MI/SD based on Polya's problem-solving stages. This research is included in the case study research using a qualitative approach. The subjects of this study were 2 students of the PGMI study program who had studied Mathematics for MI/SD. The data collection methods in this study were tests and interviews, while the data analysis was done by reducing data, presenting data, and drawing conclusions. The results showed that the learning difficulties experienced by RSD and SAT were broadly similar, including: (1) difficulty in understanding the problem, such as being unable to understand the problem from the question, unable to determine the appropriate symbol with the information known from the question, incomplete in writing down the information contained in the questions, and still lacking in understanding the concept; (2) difficulty in planning problem solving, such as being unable to determine symbols and mathematical concepts or formulas; (3) difficulty in implementing the problem-solving plan, such as not sure about the concept or formula used, and difficulty in doing the exercises without looking at the example; (4) difficulty in re-examining the solution obtained, namely not knowing how to re-examine correctly.

Abstract

Mathematics lessons are one of the subjects that must be studied by students in every level of education, especially in the field of junior high school (SMP). If you look at the mathematics learning objectives in Permendikbud Number 21 Year 2016 requires students to have the ability to think logically, analytically, systematically, critically and creatively. But mathematical material is abstract, making mathematics considered difficult by most students. This is one of the causes for not achieving the goals of mathematics learning. Mathematical concepts can be easily understood if they are concrete and follow the times experienced by students. The stage of development of junior high school students requires students to be able to reason by using abstract and symbolic things. One solution is to help students understand mathematical material using e-learning. Learning e-learning is a concept of education that utilizes the development of information and communication technology, especially in the teaching and learning process. The ease of learning with e-learning is also the teacher can prepare learning effectively and efficiently by using media and learning resources that are more interesting so that they are not focused on printed books. This can increase students' interest in learning where learning is no longer focused on the teacher and class. The function of e-learning in supporting learning activities in the classroom is as a supplement (additional), complement (complementary) and substitution (substitute). Based on the description of the explanation above, it can be concluded that the purpose of writing this paper is to describe how the role of e-learning in learning junior high school (SMP) mathematics.
