Abstract

Insomnia merupakan gangguan tidur yang dapat dialami oleh klien kanker payudara. Faktor pemicu insomnia pada kanker adalah masalah psikologis. Masalah psikologis yang sering muncul pada klien kanker adalah kecemasan dan depresi Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui angka kejadian insomnia dan mengetahui hubungan kecemasan, depresi dengan insomnia pada klien kanker payudara. Metode penelitian adalah deskriptif analitik dengan pendekatan cross sectional. Sampel sejumlah 85 klien kanker payudara stadium I-III. Responden mengisi kuesioner mengenai keluhan insomnia menggunakan Insomnia Severity Indeks (ISI) sedangkan untuk cemas, dan depresi menggunakan kuesioner Hospital Anxiety and Depression Scale (HADS). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan insomnia dialami oleh 16,47 % responden, insomnia berhubungan secara bermakna dengan depresi (p = 0,037), dan kecemasan (p = 0,001). Perawat perlu melakukan pengkajian tentang keluhan insomnia pada klien kanker payudara secara terfokus sehingga dapat memberikan intervensi secara tepat.

Abstract

The role of nurse medical surgical specialist is as caregiver, researcher, and innovator applied on nursing care of cancer patients that used the chronic illness trajectory model approach, application of evidence based nursing practise in spiritual care program on leukemia patients to reduce depression, and perform innovation group project on educational management for patients undergoing radioactive Iodine 131 in Radioactive Isolation Ward Dharmais Cancer Hospital. The trajectory concept is one of the nursing theories that assist patients and caregivers’ empowerment to provide appropriate care in the stage and phase of patient's illness and focuses on palliative care. Palliative care is one of the focus areas of nurse specialist in the field of cancer care that will improve the patient's independence and quality of life. The application of spiritual care program is non-invasive, cheap, safe, and practically in managing the patient's depression status. Education could improve patients' understanding of radiotherapy and its side effects to improve the quality of nursing care

Abstract

Background: Chemotherapy's effects decrease the quality of life in breast cancer patients. Smartphone apps are ready to deliver Benson's relaxation program. Objective: This study aimed to develop and assess the usefulness of the “Bens-App (Benson’s relaxation application)” for breast cancer patients. Methods: The study included 28 breast cancer patients in Baladhika Husada Hospital in Jember. Indonesia. Developed the application in several stages (1) literature review to determine the content, (2) the application feasibility test carried out by 2 experts in medical surgical nursing and oncology. Performed usability tests after the patient had used Bens-App for 7 days. The mHealth App Usability Questionnaire (MAUQ) was used to measure usability. Results: Bens-App contains 6 features (1) health information about breast cancer, Benson's relaxation, and fatigue (2) Benson's relaxation guide using audio (3) "reminder" reminds patients to perform Benson relaxation twice/day (4) self-monitoring which in graphical form on the home page, (5) documentation via the web to observe patient activity with the Bens-App. Usability tests results show 3 items get the highest average MAUQ score, "I will use this application again" (6.5/7), "Applications that are useful for health and me" (6.5/7), "Applications improve my access to health services" (6.5/7) and the lowest average score on the item" I can use the application when the internet network is poor or unavailable” (5.28/7). Conclusion; Bens-App can be received well, although some items still need improvement. Further research in larger populations is required
