Abstract

In modern society, the development and progress of technology have impacted various psychological problems. While Modern Psychology, especially Behavior, has not been able to provide a solution, so needed a concept to provide solutions to human psychological problems; tahdzibun nafs is a concept to human psychiatric issues. This psychotherapy concept differs from the others, and it uses the concept of tahdzibun nafs, and Hakim Tirmidzi is one of the Sufi scholars who do not mix with western thought. This research uses the Sufism approach, which aims to explore the concept of psychotherapy according to judge Tirmidhi based on inner experience and his understanding of the Quran and hadith. He explains the concept of tahdzibun nafs to overcome human psychiatric problems. The Concept requires one to reach the level of Lubb in the level of heart, which consists of sadr, qalb, fuad, and lubb using tahliyah nafs, takhliyah nafs, tajliyah nafs to achieve nafs muthmainnah. It’s because the source of mental health lies in the healthy heart that always loves God.

Abstract

Indonesia holds a key role as host of the G20 Presidency in 2022. Many international media highlighted this summit and the issues that has been discussed inside.As a world economic forum, G20 Presidency in Indonesia also reviewed about the international security issue, one of it is nuclear weapon threat. This study identifies, analyze, and compares the content produced by Indonesia (Kompas.com), United Kingdom (BBC.co.uk), and Saudi Arabia’s online news media (aawsat.com), surrounding the frame of nuclear weapons issue on G20 Forum. The study utilizes the framing analysis model of Zhondang Pan and Gerald M. Kosicki, to explain the message that communicated by the three countries related on nuclear weapon issue on G20 summit. The major findings clearly captured that every media adopted different rhetorical frames through the media coverage of the G20 Presidency in Indonesia. Related on nuclear weapon issue, Indonesian media imply a neutral approach, different with UK’s media that used straightforward approach or Saudi’s media with interior approach.

Abstract

This article aimed to elaborate on ‘Hermeneutics’ as a Discourse in Postmodern Worldview; emerged in the Christian theological system, advanced then reached its peak in the Postmodern era. Hermeneutics later did not merely develop itself within Christianity but implied several consequences to Islamic Studies. In order to come deep into the discussion, this research used the ‘Content Analysis’ method in the form of ‘Qualitative Research’, revealing the nature of Hermeneutics as the discourse of Worldview, altogether with its impact on Islamic Studies. This article concluded that Hermeneutic is classified as a discourse based on the Western-Postmodern Worldview with some historical background and theoretical framework and implications towards Islamic Studies, especially in regards to the Qur’an.
