Abstract

In the Islamic intellectual tradition, Being (wujūd) is not limited to physical things. God is also understood as Being; indeed, He is the Absolute Being itself; which of Him, manifests all metaphysical and physical realities. This physical nature is one of the realities caused by God; as well as the metaphysical reality of 'natural law' called 'sunnatullāh' in Islam. It is necessary to know how the power of God can connect to this universe. The question presupposes cosmological research, which needs to involve the study of God and His attributes as well. Methodologically, the verification of Islamic philosophical ideas among Muslim philosophers to Sufis, involves the development of the key concept from tafsīr and ta'wīl among the Quranic verses (āyat) that discuss God's relationship with Nature itself; from this framework, the relationship between the two can be explained. This article, offers a study of the views of Muslim thinkers: from philosophers to Sufis, about the relationship; which specifically highlights that God and Nature are part of the concept of 'reality' in the Islamic view. The study concludes several important things, especially that God is the Absolute Being; which from Him, another reality as the sign (āyat) of His Existence created. His sunnatullāh again manifests in God’s creatures that undergo being devastated and recreated.

Abstract

Abstract: Malik Badri sees that concepts in Western psychology, especially in the flow of Behaviourism and psychoanalysis are very contradictory and problematic. Human beings and their souls, which are the main study of psychology, are mistakenly perceived by both schools, they assume that human beings are nothing but passive machines and filled with impulses of lust or libido. This is very contrary to the view of Islam, in fact, man is a creature whose fitrah is good and in addition to environmental factors, he is also influenced by internal factors in him such as feelings, beliefs, and so This research is library research where researchers take references from books, journals, and scientific papers figures. This research is urgent in order to prove the dangerous aspects of both schools of psychoanalysis and behaviorism. so that Muslim scholars, especially those engaged in Islamic psychology, are able to be selective in studying this flow. The results of this study are the conclusion that the flow of modern psychology, which in this context is psychoanalysis and behaviorism, is very dry about Islamic values because it is influenced by the philosophy of positivism, namely atheism and is also misguided in understanding human characteristics and chaotic in explaining the spiritual and religious processes of humans in Indonesia.

Abstract

The Meaning of Khashyah in Al-Qur'an: Critical Analysis of Basic Emotions in Islamic PsychologyFear is something that is human nature. Fear that is processed properly will be able to affect human psychic growth. The feeling of fear in Islam is called al-khashyah which has been mentioned many times in the Qur'an and by previous scholars. This paper aims to discuss the meaning of k hasyah in the Qur'an and its analysis in the perspective of Islamic psychology. This paper is in the type of literature review with the main reference source being the Holy Qur'an and its interpretations and books related to Khasyah. This paper is a qualitative research with semantic method used by the author to find the meaning of the Khashyah in the Qur'an, and then it will be analysed critically based on the frame of Islamic psychology. The results of this study indicate that the Qur'an explains a lot about the Khasyah in various derivations of its form, so that the Khasyah itself has various meanings. However, the essence of the meaning of Khashyah is the fear of Allah as a symbol of the perfection of one's faith. Knowledge is an important factor that can direct fear in the right path and direction. Fear that is guided by knowledge will be able to grow the mental health of its owner, in the form of good ethics, the spirit of worship, doing good deeds, and being far from lust. Thus, khasyah, faith, and knowledge are three interrelated things

Abstract

There is no doubt that capitalism is one of the dominant economic systems today, has been transformed into a new ideology. If the beginning only revolved around free markets, unlimited private ownership, then now it is more of a new culture, lifestyle and even civilization. That dictates all aspects of human life. As a civilization, Capitalism has faced resistance from Islam. Islam, which is usually seen as only a religion, is actually more than just a religion, but includes the basic elements of a civilization. If Capitalism builds a civilization with its distinctive points regarding the theory of socio-economic growth, then Islam does not see it as a basic foundation. Today in Islam, the life of the world is always closely related to the concept of the afterlife. Meanwhile, capitalism separates morality from theology. Furthermore, Islam does not deny the need for rationality to solve the problems of world life, but the rational concept in Islam is not only limited to mathematical logic, it also involves a spiritual dimension. By using the descriptive analytical method, this study produces several important conclusions, namely: First, to overcome scientific problems that have been penetrated by secular Western civilization, Second, the development of the ideology of Capitalism has changed the human perspective in thinking resulting in a lack of moral values and secular ideology. Third, the existence of Al-Faruqi's thought which is based on Tawheed which contributes to a solution to the lack of scientific values which also affects the people's mindset. So from the research results it can be concluded that if a science is successful it will destroy all aspects of life both in terms of ideology or morals.

Abstract

The number of poor people in Indonesia has continued to increase since the economic crisis in 1997 to the present. Population growth below the poverty line is not due to the problem of natural wealth that is not balanced with the population, but is caused by problems of income distribution and unfair economic access. Optimization of Islamic financial resources can be applied to reduce poverty levels. The distribution of cash waqf funds has an important role as one of the capital in developing the economy. Cash Waqf is also able to have a good impact on poverty alleviation. This study aims to determine the implementation of the distribution of cash waqf as supporting the improvement of Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs). This study uses qualitative methods by using a field survey research design. The results of this study conclude that the implementation of the distribution of good and directed cash waqf can increase mauquf alaihi income and can support the development of SMEs so that it is more productive.

Abstract

Desire is becoming an increasingly intense discussion in this era. Not only that, desire is even considered to be the main paradigm of social life. Gilles Deleuze is one of those Western thinkers who focused on the problem of desire. In Islam, there is al-Ghazali who is also no less focused on desire. With a descriptive-comparative method and a philosophical approach, this paper intends to examine the conceptual comparison between the two figures. The results of the analysis show that there are similarities in thought between Deleuze and al-Ghazali, those are (i) Both agree that desire is mechanical and moving, (ii) both agree that desire has an important role in human life, (iii) they both share the view that desire is an entity that must exist in humans. The differences are (i) first, in terms of paradigm. Deleuze describes desire in a completely immanent and materialist paradigm. As for al-Ghazali, he explained desire with a divine (revelation) -philosophical paradigm. Second, Deleuze views desire as something completely positive and creative. As for al-Ghazali, although desire has a positive role, it still needs to be controlled. Because in essence, the nature of desire is bad. Third, Therefore, for Deleuze, desire needs to be freed from various constraints such as social norms, customs, or religion. Meanwhile, according to al-Ghazali, desire needs to be controlled through the mujahada. Fourth, for Deleuze, his idea of desire is not in line with moral values, but it is still ethical. Meanwhile, according to al-Ghazali, human desire should be controlled so that he becomes a moral individual.

Abstract

The soul is one of the topics that really attracts the attention of Muslim and Western scientists. Not a few of those who spend their time to study this problem. However, the study of the soul in the West is not based on religion. In contrast to Muslim scientists who make religion as the footing. This paper intends to discuss the concept of the soul emphasized by one of the Muslim scientists, Ibn Sīnā. By using the descriptive-analysis method, this study produces three important conclusions. First, the soul is the initial perfection to make a real human being. Second, the soul is eternal and does not go along with the destruction of the body. Third, when the soul is separated from the body and is eternal, it has a degree of happiness and misery. To reveal more deeply about the nature of the soul and its existence is very important to discuss.

Abstract

The modern era has had both positive and negative impacts on the progress of human civilization. The positive impact can be seen from the increasing advances in technology and science that help human life. Meanwhile, one of the negative impacts that emerged from the modern era is the spread of mental health problems in society. Not a few in modern society there are several symptoms and mental health problems that make it difficult for someone to find happiness. This article aims to explain efforts to cleanse the soul in Islamic tradition such as the pattern of cleansing the soul by Ibn Tufail. By using a descriptive critical analysis method with this type of literature research, this research found several important points. First, tazkiyya al-nafs is an important effort that must be made by someone to get a sense of happiness. Second, one of the important strategies and ways to get happiness according to Ibn Tufail is to attain knowledge of God. Third, if someone has come to the knowledge of God, then he will come to Ma'rifatullah. The attainment of this ma'rifatullah stage can only be achieved by someone if that person has cleansed his soul. With tazkiyya al-nafs that is done consistently one will come to what is called musyahadatullah or ma'rifah billah.
