Abstract

This research was motivated by the lack of data on the types of lichen in the Teluk Wang Sakti Area and the research on the types of lichen in Merangin is very lacking. Lichen can be found in the Teluk Wang Sakti Area because it has natural conditions that support lichen growth and development. The purpose of this research was to find out and describe the types of lichen in Teluk Wang Sakti. This type of research used a qualitative descriptive research. The research method used was the method of reconassance (roaming). The location of the research was conducted in Teluk Wang Sakti and on the edge of Jl. Lintas Bangko-Kerinci. Lichen found in Teluk Wang Sakti is 60 species including 11 genera and 10 families : Parmotrema and Parmelia (Family Parmeliaceae),Graphis (Family Graphidaceae), Dichosporidium (Family Rosellaceae), Arthonia (Family Arthoniaceae), Dirinaria (Family Dirinariaceae), Cryptothecia (Family Cryptotheciaceae), Lecanora (Family Lecanoraceae), Megalospora (Family Megalosporaceae), Lepraria (Family Leprariaceae) and Caloplaca (Family Caloplacaceae). Teluk Wang Sakti Area has an average temperature of 27.9oC and 82.3% humidity. While on the edge of Jl. Bangko-Kerinci crossing around the factory has an average temperature of 42.2oC and humidity of 36%. The Teluk Wang Sakti Area is indicated to have better air quality compared to the edge of Jl. Bangko-Kerinci crossing around the factory, due to the lack of types of lichen found and the presence of Parmotrema sp. type of lichen used as a bioindicator of air pollution.

Abstract

The lack of utilization of waxy banana peel waste in Merangin District is a source of environmental pollution. Wax banana peel waste has the potential as a liquid organic fertilizer. This study aims to determine the effect of giving liquid organic fertilizer from wax banana peel waste on the growth of red spinach plants and to determine the dose of liquid organic fertilizer from waxy banana peel waste which gives the best results for the growth of red spinach plants. The study used a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) of one factor, consisting of 6 treatments namely P0 (0 ml / control), P1 (10 ml), P2 (20 ml), P3 (30 ml), P4 (40 ml) and P5 (50 ml) with 4 repetitions. The parameters of this study were plant height, number of leaves, leaf surface area and root length. Data were analyzed using variance analysis and continued with Duncan test 5%. The results showed that liquid organic fertilizer of wax banana peel waste had a significant effect on the number of leaves, but did not give effect to plant height, leaf surface area and root length of red spinach. Liquid organic fertilizer of wax banana peel waste 20 ml dose gives the best results on the number of red spinach plant leaves.

Abstract

The water quality of Sungai Batang Merangin can be monitored through physical, chemical and biological parameters. Water quality research was conducted with temperature research parameters, TSS, PH, DO, COD, metal (Pb, Cd and Hg) and plankton. Water samples were taken in July and August 2017. The result of measurement of water quality parameter of Batang Merangin river was obtained by temperature data of 26-29,5 ° C, maximum TSS 474 mg / L, maximum pH 7, DO maximum of 7.6 mg / L, maximum COD 61.2 mg / l, cadmium metal (Cd) maximum 0.031 mg / l, metal timbale (Pb) averaging <0.02 mg / l, mercury (Hg) averaged <0.001 mg / l, plankton abundance ranged from 31.2-123.2 ind / L, plankton diversity ranged from 0.204-0.672, plankton uniformity between 0.294-0.423, plankton dominance ranged between 0,226-0,706. All physical, chemical and biological parameters are still below the maximum level except for Cadmium metal value at one point according to PP 82 of 2001 and the index value of Diversity is categorized as heavily polluted according to Shannon-Wieners index.

Abstract

This research was motivated by the absence of data on pioneer plants that grew in the former iron ore mining area in PulauLayang Village, BatangMasumai District. In addition, there is still a lack of data and research on pioneer plants in Merangin Regency. The purpose of this study was to identify and identify the types of pioneer plants in the former iron ore mining area of ​​PulauLayang Village, BatangMasumai District. This type of research is exploratory research with a descriptive approach. The sampling technique used was purposive random sampling technique. From the results found after the examination, 13 species were found from the three plots, where in the first plot 6 species were found, in the second plot 6 species were found, and from the third plot, 6 species. Overall species found wereAlstonia iwahigensis, Blenchnum orientale, Imperata cylindrica, Lycopodium cernuum, Melastoma malabathricum, Pennisetum purpureum, Pteridium aquilinum, Dicranopteris linearis, Merremia peltata, Carex muskingumensis, Caryocar glabrum, Ipomoea purpurea, and Breynia vitis-idaea. The dominating species was Imperatacylindrica which was found as many as 224, the least was found was Alstoniaiwahigensis which was found only 1 species

Abstract

This research is motivated by the lack of teaching materials such as books limited student handbook. In addition, the display of teaching materials what is available is less attractive, the language is difficult to understand, minimal pictures. To to overcome this, the researchers developed the Atlas of medicinal plants as ingredients teach students at SMK. This study aims to describe the process development of Atlas of medicinal plants as teaching materials in the material biodiversity for class X SMK and to produce an Atlas valid. This type of research is a development research using the 4-D Model which includes the stage of define, design, develop, and disseminate. The subject this study consisted of 7 validators. Based on the result of this study the resulting product is a medicinal plant Atlas. Atlas of medicinal plants produced declared very valid by the validator both from the aspects of content feasibility, language, presentation, and graphics with a validity value of 89%. It can be concluded that the Atlas of medicinal plants has been declared valid.

Abstract

This research was motivated by the problem of Babadotan plant weeds in oil palm plantations in Kabupaten Merangin . Babadotan plant has the potential as a liquid organic fertilizer. This research aims to determine the effect of liquid organic fertilizer from babadotan plants on the growth of pakcoy. This study used a one-factor completely randomized design (CRD), consisting of 6 treatments, namely P0 (0%), PI (10%), P2 (15%), P3 (20%), P4 (25%), P5 (30 %), with 4 repetitions. The growth parameters observed were the number of leaves, leaves surface area, plant height, and root length. Data were analyzed using analysis of variance and continued with the Duncan Multiple Range Test (DMRT) at the 5% level. The results showed that the liquid organic fertilizer of babadotan plant had a very significant effect on leaf surface area, had a significant effect on root length, but did not significantly influence the growth of stem height and number of pakcoy leaves. Liquid organic fertilizer from babadotan plants with a concentration of 20% gives the highest average in each treatment for each measurement parameter. However, the best POC concentration from the results of the Duncan test showed that the treatment that had a significant effect on the leaf surface area and root length of the pakcoy plant was a concentration of 0% or without treatment.

Abstract

This research was motivated by the absence of a practicum guide that explains practicum activities, especially regarding life organizational systems. For practicum guidance, science teachers only take from student worksheets. Than why conceptual, practical, and real practicum guides development is needed. One of which is practicum guides based on Argumen Driven Inquiry. Focus on subject life organization systems for students of Class VII SMP / MTs. The purpose of this research is to produce a valid based on Argumen Driven practicum guide. This researchh is a development research using 4.D which is modified including the stages of define, design, develop, and disseminate. This study consisted of 7 validators. Based on the results of this study, a valid Argument Driven Inquiry based practical guide was produced. The practicum guide produced was declared very valid by the validator, both from the aspects of contents peasibility,language, presentation,and graphics with a value of 94%. From the research result that have been obtained it can be concluded that based on Argumen Driven Inquiry the practicum guide (ADI) in science learning on subjetc life organization system material is declared valid.

Abstract

This research is motivated by limited textbooks integrated science used by students in the learning process. This study aims to describe the prosess of developing an integrated science pocket book based on Learning cycle on material life organization system for seventh grade students of SMP/MTs which is valid and practical. Type of research is development research using the 4-D menthod which inclueds the stage an integrated science pocket book based Learning cycle was only carried out until the dissemination stage was limited to teacher. The subjects of this study consisted of 7 (seven) validators and practicality test was carried out by 2 teachers, then this data was analyzed by descriptive analysis. Based on the results of the reasearch, the product is pocket book. The pocket book was declared very valid and practical. The validator both from the aspects of the feasibility of content, language, presentation and graphics with a validity value of 95%. It’s means on very practical category. The pocket book produced was also deemed practical by the teacher in terms of ease of use, learning time, and attractiveness with an average value of 3.45. The concluded of research is the pocket book has been declared valid and practical.

Abstract

Based on the results of observations carried out in SMP Negeri 28 Merangin in the classroom VIIIshows that most of the learning outcomes of class VIII students have not reached the Minimum Completeness Criteria (MCC). The purpose of this study was to identify and describe the applicaation of the Guided Note Taking method with Mind Mapping media to improve integrated science learning outcomes.Classroom Action Research with a sample of 22 students consisting of 12 male students and 10 female students.This researcher uses two cycles and haas four staages, namely: 1) Planning, 2) Implementation, 3) Observation, the last stage is 4) Reflection. The results showed that the percentage of learning activities in the first cycle of student learning activities was 77% while student activities from cycle I to cycle II obtaained an increase of 13%. So student learning activities are said to be good because they have reached the success criteria of 90%. Integrated science learning outcomes with the subject of the human excretory system, the average score of students in the first cycle is 69.86 with a completeness percentage of 55% then followed by the second cycle the student average score reaches 80.72 with a classical percentage of 87%. Cycle II student learning outcomes have reached the Minimum Completeness Criteriaa(MCC) that has been set is 70.00 with a percentage of completeness 87% of students succeedIt was concluded that student learning outcomes increased.

Abstract

Based on research observations conducted by researchers at SMPN 50 Merangin, they still use the LKS book as a practical guide book at school. To overcome this problem, the research developed a practical guide for the respiratory system material based on guide inquiry. This study aims to produce an integrated science praticum guide based on guide in Quiry on the respiratory system material for class VIII students SMPN 50 so that is suitable to be used as a learning medium and also to produce an integrated science practicum guide based on Guide Inquiry on the design (planning), develop (development), and disseminate (Spread). In this study there were 5 (five) validators, 2 (two) people who will validate the practicum guide material the will be developed, namely 1 lecturer from the Biology study program and I science teacher at SMP N 50 Merangin. 1 (one) lecturer in the Indonesian language study program who will validate the language. 1 (one) STKIP YPM Bangko lecturer from mathematics study program who will validate the graph on display of the practical guide. The results of this study resulted in a product in the from of guided inquiry based practicum guide on respiratory system material. The feasibility of the practical guide on respiratory system material is proven from the results of the validator’s assessment that the average content feasibility obtained in 98,44% language is 87,5% presentation is 91,6% and graphic is 100%. With an average overall percentage of 94% (very valid).
