Abstract

This study aims to obtain an overview of the characteristics of the resilience of class XI students at SMA Negeri 2 Tasikmalaya. The background of this problem arises along with the challenges faced by students in the adaptation process at school and adjusting to the new learning system. Good resilience is needed so that students can deal with various changes and pressures in the school environment, especially in dealing with growing academic and social demands. The method used in this research is descriptive quantitative, with a research population of 432 students and a sample of 335 grade XI students at SMA Negeri 2 Tasikmalaya. Data collection was carried out using non-probability incidental sampling techniques and data analysis methods with the calculation of mean, standard deviation, percentage, and sex difference tests through SPSS 24.00. The results showed that the resilience of grade XI students at SMA Negeri 2 Tasikmalaya tended to be in the moderate category, with an average score of 51%, 49% in the optimal category, and there was no resilience in the not optimal category (0%). This study shows that resilience in grade XI students at SMA Negeri 2 Tasikmalaya is at the highest percentage in the moderate category. Based on these findings, it is recommended to develop a group guidance service program with experiential learning techniques to improve student resilience.

Abstract

This study aims to develop a standard measurement tool that can be used to accurately measure the career maturity of high school students. The need for this measurement tool is motivated by the low level of understanding of students' career maturity, which is caused by the mismatch between the guidance and counseling services provided at schools and the actual needs of students. To achieve this objective, this study uses a quantitative approach with a confirmatory descriptive design. The research subjects were 918 eleventh-grade high school students in the northern region of Tasikmalaya District, with a sample of 707 students selected incidentally. This study is a continuation of the previous stage, which used exploratory factor analysis, and in this stage, the factor structure was confirmed through Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA). The CFA results indicate that the developed measurement tool has adequate goodness of fit values. During the confirmation process, there was a change in the indicator structure from 19 to 16 factors, as well as a reduction in the number of items from 65 to 62 relevant items. These findings indicate that the measurement tool produced is capable of providing a valid and reliable picture of the career maturity level of high school students. With the availability of this standardized measurement tool, it is hoped that guidance and counseling services in schools can be tailored more effectively and efficiently, ultimately enhancing students' career maturity. This study makes an important contribution to the development of educational intervention strategies focused on comprehensive career readiness for students.

Abstract

Learning style is the way each learner begins to contribute to processing, processing and retain new and difficult information. The development of an adolescent learning style instrument helps students to identify learning style patterns based on the theory used. However, the limitations of the adolescent learning style instrument have only been tested on junior high school students. This research aims to develop, test the validity and reliability of an adolescent learning style instrument using the Winstep software RASCH model. Participants in this research were 840 students at the junior high school level in Tasikmalaya City and Regency. The results of the item validity test using the RASCH Model program Winstep software show that all items are valid (126 items) with the Outfit Mean Square (MNSQ) value. The results of the reliability test of the adolescent learning style instrument, consisting of 126 items, were declared valid; the Cronbach's Alpha value was 0.85, which is in the very good category. The Person Reliability value of 0.87 is at a good level. And the Item Reliability value of 0.99 shows that the level of item consistency is in the special category.
