Abstract

Happiness becomes an essential thing in the development of students as individuals who can live a happy college life tend to develop better, be productive, and be successful in their academic studies. A low level of happiness makes students unable to feel positive emotions, it is difficult to have full involvement in doing various things, they lack positive relationships with others, they think that their life is less meaningful, and they think they have less meaningful achievements. This study aims to test the effectiveness of a hypnotic-oriented counseling model to increase happiness in students with low happiness levels. This study used the experimental method of single-subject research with an A-B-A pattern. The population used is students of the Muhammadiyah University of Tasikmalaya class of 2021, with the subjects sampled to be given interventions and students with a low happiness level. The data analysis technique used is a visual analysis by looking directly at the trend line on the graph and statistical analysis using PND (Percentage Non-Overlapping Data) calculations to test the effectiveness of the interventions provided. The results showed that there was a significant increase in the happiness score in the baseline phase (A1), then intervention (B), and baseline (A2). Thus, the hypnosis-oriented counseling model has been proven effective in increasing students' happiness levels with low happiness levels.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji Efektivitas Social Skill Training (SST) Untuk Meningkatkan Keterampilan Sosial Mahasiswa. Penelitian ini berlatar belakang pada permasalah yang ditemukan diantaranya mahasiswa baru sulit berdaptasi, merasa tidak percaya diri, dan penurunan dalam prestasi akademik. Penelitian menggunakan metode eksperimen kuasi. Desain penelitian ini adalah nonequivalent pretest-postest control group design. Instrumen dalam penelitian ini adalah angket infentori social skill inventory (SSI) menggunakan rujukan dari Ronald Reggio. Subjek penelitian adalah Mahasiswa FKIP UMTAS Angkatan 2021 yang diambil dengan teknik Sample Random Sampling. Pengujian hipotesis dilakukan dengan menggunakan statistik uji t paired (paired sample t-test) dengan menggunakan SPSS. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan: (1) secara umum keterampilan mahasiswa FKIP berada di kategori sedang dalam skor 239-302, (2) rancangan intervensi Social Skill Training (SST) di susun berdasarkan analisis kebutuhan dengan melakukan 4 kali pertemuan yang mana pada bagi menjadi 8 sesi untuk kelompok eksperimen dan untuk kelompok kontrol hanya 1 kali pertemuan, (3) layanan Social Skill Training memiliki nilai efektivitas yang berbeda dengan membandingkan rata-rata yang dimiliki setiap kelompok, Mahasiswa dengan hasil pengujian skor rata-rata 272,19 untuk kelompok eksperimen dan skor rata-rata 282,10 untuk kelompok kontrol dengan berdasarkan acuan tabel pembagian skor Gain.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji efektivitas teori konseling kognitif perilaku untuk menurunkan perilaku melukai diri (self injury) pada remaja. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain eksperimen. Metode yang digunakan bentuk Single Subject Research (SSR) dengan pola A-B-A. Populasi pada penelitian ini siswa SMA Al Muttaqin Kota Tasikmalaya berjumlah 334 siswa. Sampel pada penelitian ini 2 siswa laki-laki yang terindikasi sebagai pelaku self injury dan termasuk pada kategori cukup tinggi (streotip) dengan perilaku membenturkan kepala, memukul diri sendiri, menyayat kulit dan menjambak rambut. Teknik pengambilan sampel yang digunakan yaitu purposive sampling. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis visual dengan mengamati langsung garis trend pada grafik dan analisis statistik dengan menggunakan perhitungan Percentage Non-Overlapping (PND). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya penurunan skor pada konseli yang dilihat dari garis trend pada grafik baseline (A1), intervensi (B) dan baseline (A2). Selain itu, ada penurunan perilaku konseli yang sebelumnya masuk kriteria streotip dengan intensitas melakukan self injury sangat rutin menjadi kriteria impulsif dengan intensitas tidak berulang, dalam arti ketika muncul dorongan untuk melakukan self injury konseli mampu mengendalikan dirinya. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian tersebut menunjukkan konseling kognitif perilaku efektif untuk menurunkan kecenderungan perilaku melukai diri (self injury) pada remaja. Keterbatasan penelitian ini tidak ada kelompok kontrol atau kelompok pembanding dan tidak ada perbedaan gender pada subjek penelitian yang diberi treatment.

Abstract

Abstract Penelitian ini membahas peran sosial perempuan dalam komunitas adat Kampung Cikondang, Kabupaten Bandung, yang masih mempertahankan nilai-nilai tradisi leluhur secara kuat. Masalah utama yang diangkat adalah bagaimana perempuan memainkan peran strategis tidak hanya dalam ranah domestik, tetapi juga dalam pelestarian budaya, kegiatan ekonomi, pendidikan, keagamaan, serta keterlibatan dalam pengambilan keputusan komunitas. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menggambarkan dan menganalisis dinamika kontribusi perempuan dalam sistem sosial masyarakat adat yang masih hidup berdampingan dengan modernisasi. Metode penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif, dengan teknik pengumpulan data berupa wawancara mendalam, observasi partisipatif, dan dokumentasi lapangan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perempuan memiliki kontribusi penting dalam menjaga kesinambungan adat istiadat, baik melalui peran mereka dalam upacara adat, pengelolaan ekonomi keluarga, maupun organisasi sosial seperti arisan dan pengajian. Meski dibatasi oleh norma tertentu seperti larangan saat menstruasi dalam ritual adat, partisipasi perempuan tetap dihargai dan dianggap esensial. Penelitian ini menegaskan pentingnya penguatan peran perempuan sebagai agen pelestari budaya lokal. Keywords: kebudayaan, gender, peran perempuan, sosial Abstract This study explores the social roles of women within the traditional community of Kampung Cikondang, Bandung Regency, which continues to uphold ancestral cultural values. The central issue addressed is how women assume strategic roles not only in the domestic sphere but also in cultural preservation, economic activities, education, religious life, and participation in community decision-making. The study aims to describe and analyze the dynamics of women’s contributions within a traditional social system that coexists with modern influences. A descriptive qualitative approach was employed, using in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and field documentation as data collection techniques. The findings reveal that women play a vital role in maintaining the continuity of customary practices, through involvement in traditional ceremonies, household economic management, and social organizations such as community savings groups and religious gatherings. Although certain customary norms, such as menstrual restrictions during rituals, still apply, women’s participation remains respected and essential. Abstract

Learning style is the way each learner begins to contribute to processing, processing and retain new and difficult information. The development of an adolescent learning style instrument helps students to identify learning style patterns based on the theory used. However, the limitations of the adolescent learning style instrument have only been tested on junior high school students. This research aims to develop, test the validity and reliability of an adolescent learning style instrument using the Winstep software RASCH model. Participants in this research were 840 students at the junior high school level in Tasikmalaya City and Regency. The results of the item validity test using the RASCH Model program Winstep software show that all items are valid (126 items) with the Outfit Mean Square (MNSQ) value. The results of the reliability test of the adolescent learning style instrument, consisting of 126 items, were declared valid; the Cronbach's Alpha value was 0.85, which is in the very good category. The Person Reliability value of 0.87 is at a good level. And the Item Reliability value of 0.99 shows that the level of item consistency is in the special category.

Abstract

The current era of Society 5.0 and high accessibility has an impact on the dynamics of academic life in higher education, namely the increasingly diverse characters and backgrounds of students’ lives. Cultural competency for students in conditions like this becomes a necessity. This research aims to reveal the characteristics of students' cultural intelligence in East Priangan, including in terms of gender differences.  Apart from that, another aim of this research is also to formulate counseling services to facilitate the optimization of students’ cultural intelligence. A cross-sectional study was used to reveal the cultural intelligence characteristics of 417 students in East Priangan. Accidental sampling was used in this research. Data collection uses the Cultural Intelligence Scale (CQS). The analysis technique uses a central symptom measure to describe the characteristics of students' cultural intelligence and Pearson correlation to measure the relationship between its aspects. Independent t test analysis was used to compare the characteristics of students' cultural intelligence based on gender. The result of the analysis are alpha 0,05; F=0,405; p =0,715.  The results of the research show that the cultural intelligence of East Priangan students is moderate and there is no significant difference between male and female students. Recommendations for a counseling framework to facilitate the cultural intelligence of students in East Priangan which can be formulated based on the original values of stusdent life in East Priangan as well as multicultural competence for counselors who will use this framework.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the kindness character profile of students at SMP-IT Daarul Amiin. Kindness is one of the character strengths that supports students' emotional well-being, positive peer interactions, and healthy behavior in the school environment. This study used a descriptive quantitative method with a saturated sampling technique involving 154 students (87 males and 67 females). The data were collected using a kindness scale consisting of six dimensions: generosity, nurturance, care, compassion, altruistic love, and niceness. The results showed that the overall level of kindness character among students was in the moderate category. The care dimension scored the highest, while the nurturance dimension scored the lowest. Based on statistical analysis, there was no significant difference in kindness character based on gender. These findings indicate that kindness character development needs to be strengthened through psychoeducational strategies in guidance and counseling services to support students' holistic personal and social growthThis study aims to describe the kindness character profile of students at SMP-IT Daarul Amiin. Abstract

Penelitian ini mengkaji sistem kepercayaan tradisional masyarakat Kampung Adat Cikondang di Kabupaten Bandung sebagai representasi nilai-nilai budaya yang bertahan di tengah arus modernisasi. Menggunakan metode kualitatif melalui studi lapangan dan wawancara mendalam dengan tokoh masyarakat, penelitian ini menemukan bahwa kepercayaan tradisional yang berakar pada ajaran Islam dan tradisi leluhur membentuk struktur sosial, ritual adat, serta keharmonisan dengan lingkungan. Temuan menunjukkan bahwa ritual suci, larangan adat, dan kebiasaan sehari-hari tidak hanya menjadi pedoman spiritual, tetapi juga berfungsi mengatur keseimbangan sosial dan ekologis. Praktik budaya ini mencerminkan identitas kolektif yang kuat, pewarisan nilai lintas generasi, serta adaptasi berbasis kearifan lokal. Dari hasil penelitian menyimpulkan bahwa sistem kepercayaan masyarakat Cikondang berperan penting dalam menjaga ketahanan budaya, memperkuat solidaritas sosial, dan mempertahankan identitas di tengah perubahan zaman.
