Abstract

Hermeneutics of the Qur'an with its characters, namely Abu Zayd, Ali Harb, Arkoun, Hasan Hanafi, Syahrur, Khaled Abou el-Fadl, and Abdullah Saeed, has a hermeneutic method from the point of view of different theories and approaches. This paper aims to examine the study of the hermeneutics of the Qur'an from the perspective of contemporary scholars. The results of the study prove that the classical scholar's scholarship in the study of the Qur'anic science is different from the scientific method approach of contemporary scholars. This has implications for the civilizational culture of Tafsir Al-Qur'an. Therefore, this paper is very supportive to be used as a source of knowledge related to the study of the Qur'an.

Abstract

Abstract: The Development of New Student Admission Promotion Model in the Study of Neuroscience in the Era of the Covid-19 PandemicThe presence of the Covid-19 pandemic is very concerning for educational institutions as a whole external SMK Muhammadiyah 3 Yogyakarta. This study aims to analyze the acceptance of new students at SMK Muhammadiyah 3 Yogyakarta during the Covid-19 pandemic, based on neuroscience. The approach used in this research is the approach qualitative-descriptive by method case study. The location of this research was conducted at SMK Muhammadiyah 3 Yogyakarta. The subjects of this study were the principal, vice-principal of the curriculum section, vice-principal of the public relations section, and prospective new students. Data were obtained through in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation methods. The data analysis technique uses the Miles and Huberman model which includes data reduction, data presentation, and data verification. The results of the study show that the neuroscience-based promotion model for new student admissions is an alternative to getting new prospective students during the Covid-19 period. The neuroscience-based new student admission promotion model can respond to the frontal lobes of prospective new students well, which has implications for increasing the results of new student admissions. The promotion model for new student admissions affects the stability of the salaries of teachers and employees at SMK Muhammadiyah 3 Yogyakarta. Abstract

The occurrence of fraud, injustice, and dishonesty in the validation of election data by the Election Team and Committees from villages to the capital city. This happens everywhere, caused by the competition for popularity and tight competition among the different camp teams. Therefore, researchers intend to investigate the occurrence of election fraud in 2019. This research aims to identify the problems of election fraud and valid election data, especially in the Special Region of Yogyakarta in the Wirokerten area, Banguntapan Bantul. The setting of this research is in the Wirokerten area of Banguntapan Bantul Yogyakarta. The subjects of this research consist of village heads, election committee teams, potential voters, former voters in 2019, and local communities. The selection of research subjects is carried out with honesty and data validity. It means researchers have directly asked and met directly with informants or research subjects. Research subjects are selected based on gender perspective and informant character. This research is qualitative, a type of case study research, namely the case of the 2019 election and the upcoming 2024 election. Data is collected through direct interviews and direct observation at the location. "including researchers and local residents located in Mutihan, Wirokerten Banguntapan, Bantul Yogyakarta". Data analysis is carried out with reference to previous theories as proposed by Miles and Huberman (reduction, display, and verification). The research results indicate the existence of fraud and lack of clarity in the calculation of the 2019 election due to a lack of information and communication from the election team to the village level, such as village heads and subdistrict heads. Lack of supervision and not using IT/applications related to election vote counting. Based on the information data, there are 4-5 ballot boxes that have not been delivered; there is the incapacity of the election team or permission due to illness during the election event. 80% of problems exist in DIY indicating electoral disputes. Therefore, researchers respond well to alternatives provided by researchers as a valid, credible, and transparent prototype election strategy for 2024

Abstract

In the era of rapid technological advancement, the integration of Islamic and scientific cultures in Islamic boarding schools becomes increasingly vital to accommodate the dynamic potential of students. However, many pesantren have yet to implement systematic change management strategies to optimise student development and learning outcomes. This study aims to examine the role of change management in enhancing students’ academic and personal growth at MBS Muhammadiyah Pleret, Yogyakarta. Employing a qualitative case study approach, data was collected through interviews and observations involving religious teachers, students, and staff. The analysis was conducted through data reduction, display, and verification processes. Findings reveal that the combination of theory- and practice-based learning, supported by effective change management, leads to significant improvements in student outcomes. The consistent application of neuroscience principles and the pesantren’s cultural environment positively shapes students’ behavior, motivation, and learning achievements. Biannual data show a steady increase in learning potential over time. The study concludes that the integration of change management in pesantren settings supports better academic results, enriches cultural values, and strengthens school governance. Although a strong correlation between change management and knowledge management was not established, both elements contribute positively to educational enhancement, indicating the need for further exploration.

Abstract

The Covid-19 pandemic has created new dynamics in religious practice, particularly in the tension between spirituality and adherence to health protocols. Lockdown policies that restricted public worship activities, such as the closure of mosques and prayer rooms, triggered various responses, including the narrative “fearing hell more than Covid-19.” This article argues that the development of moderate religious attitudes can be conceptually constructed through integrating neuroscience perspectives with the living fatwa of Muhammadiyah scholars during the pandemic. This study employs a qualitative literature-based approach, drawing on key sources concerning religious moderation, Muhammadiyah fatwas related to Covid-19, and relevant literature on neuroscience in Islamic education. Data were analyzed using content analysis methods that emphasize intertextuality and conceptual articulation. The findings indicate that a moderate religious attitude is not merely normative-theological but is also closely linked to cognitive and affective processes in the human brain, as reflected in the practice of living Islam. This study reinforces the importance of fatwas as both an ethical reference and a subject of critical analysis through neuroscience within contemporary Islamic studies. The article contributes to broadening the academic framework of religious moderation through an interdisciplinary approach between Islamic studies and neuroscience.
