Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui: 1) kualitas pelayanan Program Studi PGSD UAD Yogyakarta; 2) kepuasan mahasiswa Program Studi PGSD UAD; dan 3) pengaruh kualitas pelayanan terhadap kepuasan mahasiswa Program Studi PGSD UAD. Desain penelitian yang digunakan adalah desain asosiatif kausal. Populasi penelitian yang digunakan peneliti adalah seluruh mahasiswa Prodi PGSD yang masih aktif pada tahun akademik 2013/2014 yang berjumlah 688 mahasiswa. Sampel penelitian diambil sebesar 25% atau sebanyak 187 mahasiswa. Teknik analisis data menggunakan analisis regresi linier berganda. Hasil penelitian menyimpulkan bahwa: 1) kualitas pelayanan Prodi PGSD UAD tergolong cukup baik; 2) mahasiswa merasa cukup puas dengan pelayanan yang diberikan oleh Prodi PGSD UAD; dan 3) terdapat dua dimensi yang mempunyai pengaruh signifikan terhadap kepuasan mahasiswa Program Studi PGSD UAD, dari lima dimensi kualitas pelayanan yaitu dimensi tangible dan dimensi assurance, sedangkan dimensi reliability, responsiveness dan dimensi emphaty tidak mempunyai pengaruh signifikan terhadap kepuasan mahasiswa. Namun demikian, secara simultan dimensi kualitas memberikan pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap kepuasan mahasiswa.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui: 1) kepemimpinan kepala sekolah dalam mengembangkan pendidikan karakter di Sekolah Dasar Muhammadiyah Sleman; dan 2) Faktor yang menjadi kendala kepala sekolah dalam mengembangkan pendidikan karakter di Sekolah Dasar Muhammadiyah Sleman.Pendekatan penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah pendekatan kualitatif. Subjek penelitian adalah kepala sekolah, guru dan siswa. Penentuan subjek penelitian dilakukan dengan teknik purpose sampling. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Jenis analisis data menggunakan model Miles dan Huberman yaitu data reduction, data display, dan data conclusion drawing/verification.Hasil penelitian ini adalah :1) Peran kepala sekolah dalam mengembangkan pendidikan karakter di sekolah sangat menentukan. Peran kepala sekolah sebagai pimpinan di sekolah adalah dalam bentuk melakukan pembinaan secara terus-menerus dalam hal pemodelan (modeling), pengajaran (teaching), dan penguatan karakter (reinforcing) yang baik terhadap semua warga sekolah (guru, siswa, dan karyawan). Nilai karakter yang menonjol dikembangkan di SD Muhammadiyah Sleman yaitu nilai religius, disiplin, gemar membaca, tanggung Jawab, peduli sosial, dan kerjasama, kebersamaan dan gotong royong; 2) Faktor Pendukung dan Penghambat Proses Pendidikan Karakter, yaitu sebagai berikut: a) faktor Pendukung meliputi: (1) pengelola sekolah sangat mendukung terhadap program-program pembinaan karakter pada siswa baik dalam hal bimbingan maupun usulan kegiatan yang harus diprogramkan; (2) guru memiliki kemampuan dalam menyampaikan materi dan bisa menyesuaikan dengan kebutuhan siswa. Guru tidak menjaga jarak dengan siswa. Kedekatan antara Guru dengan siswa memberi dampak yang positif dalam pembelajaran, yaitu siswa merasa nyaman; (3) pihak wali siswa juga sangat mendukung terhadap program-program yang dirancang oleh sekolah bahkan mereka menginginkan nilai-nilai akhlak harus menjadi prioritas utama dalam setiap kegiatan di sekolah; dan b) faktor Penghambat, meliputi:  (1) adanya kebiasaan buruk sebagian siswa di rumah dibawa ke dalam kelas, sehingga mempengaruhi siswa yang lain; (2) guru tidak bisa selalu mengawasi sikap siswa sepanjang hari, oleh karena itu peran orang tua di rumah sangat dibutuhkan guna terbentuknya karakter yang mengakar dalam diri siswa sehingga dapat diimplementasikan ke dalam kegiatan sehari-harinya baik di sekolah, di rumah maupun di lingkungan sekitarnya; dan (3) peran media masa. Tayangan televisi yang kurang mendukung pendidikan anak sehingga dapat menyebabkan pembentukan karakter anak yang tidak sesuai dengan seharusnya.

Abstract

The development of pesantren, schools and madrasah is a form of culture. They have dynamism in the society development. Pesantren, schools, and madrasah are also a manifestation of the lives of people or groups of people in the educational environment. The development of pesantren, school and madrasah as a unity of the development of educational institutions in Indonesia are interconnected with each other, so the cultural development of the three educational institutions can be seen from the cultural model proposed by van Peursen, covering mythological, ontological and functional phases. This article reveal and explore the development of pesantren, schools, and madrasah in cultural reviews. Abstract

Pergaulan remaja saat ini sudah memasuki babak yang lebih berbahaya daripada tahuntahun sebelumnya. Kita dapat menyaksikan banyaknya tindak kriminalitas ataupun kenakalankenakalan reamaja yang ada disekitar kita. Remaja saat ini banyak menirukan tindakan–tindakan yang tidak pantas yang ada di internet maupun media lainnya. Kebanyakan anak-anak maupun remaja kurang memiliki bentang yang kuat dalam diri mereka untuk membentengi diri dari pengaruh dunia luar. Di Dusun Krapyak Wetan yang merupakan perbatasan daerah kota dengan desa dimana msyarakatnya sudah heterogen menimbulkan banyak masuknya budaya dari luar ke Dusun Krapyak Wetan. Memberdayakan kegiatan masjid bagi generasi muda merupakan salah satu upaya membentengi generasi muda dari dampak negatif perkembangan zaman.

Abstract

Change ability of a school is determined by the extent to which the school’s member have power in carrying and managing change. The changes may occur within the school environment or outside the school that influence the  changes toward the school itself. The shifts that occur within the school may not necessarily  alter the school thoroughly, but usually preceded by a process of cultural transformation. The success of school’s cultural shifts depends on the change management applied. Therefore, any changes that happen requires a change management so that the alteration at the school is the result of  school’s community values and directed from the community itself,  so  the impact would lead to a positive change. Abstract

This study aims to determine: 1) The basis of character education holistically and integratively in Early Childhood Nuraini; 2) The PAUD program environment is developed for the development of character education in a holistic and integrative manner; 3) actions and actions of educators in their role of developing character education holistically and integratively, and 4) parent involvement in the character education model holistically and integratively.The results of this study can be summarized as follows: 1) Moral Education Platform, Moral, Holistic and Integrative Character in Integrated Early Childhood 'Aisyiyah Nur'aini uses the foundation of religion, local culture and objective values ​​of the nation. Character values ​​can be taught systematically in the Holistic character education model as follows: a) Habituation (good habituation and culture), b) learning good things (mora, knowing), c) morale Feeling and loving: feeling and loving good, d) moral acting (good action), and e) model (moral model) of the surrounding environment; 2) the environment here is divided into the physical and social environment. In view of the physical environment shows the lack of school lighting due to the geographic conditions of schools located in the lowlands and surrounding there are level buildings so that the school conditions seem dark or lack of open lighting. Non-physical environment is seen from the interaction of all teachers in developing character education in an integrative holistic way. Implementation of character education is done every day in the classroom through habituation (habituation) with modeling of teachers with 5K requirements (consensus, commitment, consistent, continuous and consequent); 3) The teacher's action is to integrate the child's character in integrated intellectual, moral and physical development; and 4) parental involvement in character education through parenting education and parenting class activities.

Abstract

To date, Islamic Education in Indonesia is framed in traditional, conventional, and colonial paradigms. Despite the twentieth century’s urges to use interdisciplinary, multidisciplinary, and trans-disciplinary approaches, mono-disciplinary approach such as classic and medieval Islamic education, is still dominating. Researches in the three new methods have engaged neuroscience that results in innovative and reliable works, indicated by the achievement of Intellectual Property Rights with downstreaming potentials. The study aims to find a model for Islamic education that is based on neuroscience in the millennial era with the mentioned attainment. The research applied a qualitative model by Denzin and was located in the Magister Degree of Islamic Education of Universitas Ahmad Dahlan, Yogyakarta, in 2008. It involved six lecturers and thirty-one students. The data were collected through participatory observation, in-depth interview, and documentation.The research generates a neuroscience-based model for Islamic education in the millennial era through the development of research-based instruction. Further, the development allows the achievement of Intellectual Property Rights and downstreaming potentials. The model is the continuation of Islamic education modernization initiated by Muhammad Abduh and is relevant to the entrepreneurship of the millennial Muslim generation of the twenty-first century.

Abstract

This research aims to: 1) describing the cultural approach in the development of holistic education in Muhammadiyah Elementary School: 2) finding the role of school’s stakeholders in realizing holistic education in Muhammadiyah Sleman Elementary School. This research was conducted at Muhammadiyah Sleman Elementary School Yogyakarta. This research was qualitative research of phenomenology by interpretive paradigm. Data collection techniques were observation, interview, and documentation. Data analysis was by interactive model, which were data reduction, data display, and data conclusion drawing/verification. The results of this research are: 1) school culture becomes an important part in improving education quality. The development of holistic education in Muhammadiyah elementary school using cultural approach. Values, beliefs, and habits are built on the school community’s awareness and will, which is bottom-up in nature. The basis of realizing holistic education in school is the school culture. Positive school culture will make holistic education done well, on the contrary negative school culture will make holistic education difficult to obtained. Therefore schools should build strong school culture in implementing holistic education; 2) school stakeholders who very important in realizing holistic education at Muhammadiyah Sleman Elementary School are principal, guard team of school culture, teachers, families, school committees, community, and guard team of holistic education.

Abstract

Abstract Education is an attempt to find information that is useful for life. Learning to know something (learning to know) becomes an effort that is done in getting useful knowledge and that is not useful. Knowledge and experience gained are then applied to solve problems that arise and get a change. This mastery of knowledge will lead students to find their true identity and develop their potential. After all these learning processes are passed, a student will be able to adapt to the environment and carry out his role in the community.  Learning outcomes that students will get depend on the contribution of the curriculum that has been made. Therefore, in making a curriculum, it is pursued according to needs, not fragmented and can reflect all aspects thoroughly and contextually. The integrity requires a good character to make it clearer in bringing out a complete person.

Abstract

The existence of formal schools under the auspices of bording school foundation has its own uniqueness compared to other schools in general. One of the models is Boarding School of Muhammadiyah Wonosobo High School. This article aims to describe in depth the Ismuba curriculum management based on Boarding School. This research type is field research naturally. This qualitative research departs from certain cases and conditions so isn?t use term population. Qualitative research uses the term social situation which consists of places, actors, activities that are integrated with each other. Data is collected by interviewing, documenting, and observing. The results of this research can be summarized as follows: (1) The management of "boarding school" Islamic education in Wonosobo Muhammadiyah High School appears in the management process starting from planning, organizing, acting, and controlling (POAC) (2) Management of Islamic boarding school education on weekly or monthly target. (3) A supporting factor in  implementation of "boarding school" education management is the integration of general education and Islamic education.
