Abstract

Computational thinking (CT) is basic competency that must be provided to Indonesia's young generation, through integration into curriculum or extracurriculars to face the information, industrial era 4.0 or society 5.0. SMP As Shofa Pekanbaru has computer extracurriculars, but the material is only Office. This school needs programming extracurricular coaching which can be mediafor training students' CT. Therefore, in this community service program, extracurricular programming training was carried out at SMP As Shofa, namedDunia Coding. This activity produced 2 textbooks. The implementation method is an offline workshop in 12 meetings 1x/week. The results obtained were that 73.9% of students agreed that the material provided was very appropriate to their needs, 82.6% of students agreed that the program was very useful, 80.4% of students agreed that the delivery of the material was very clear, interesting, and easy to understand, and 56.5% of students agreed that the implementation time was sufficient

Abstract

Saat ini desain rangkaian elektronika semakin kompleks, sehingga kebutuhan perangkat lunak Electronic Design Automation (EDA) juga semakin besar. Perangkat lunak yang ada hanya mampu mendesain rangkaian elektronika dalam skala kecil, dan belum mengakomodasi peralatan sintesis dan analisis yang baru. Selain itu, perangkat lunak yang tersedia juga belum memanfaatkan geometri dan konektivitas layout komponen elektronika. Untuk memenuhi kebutuhan-kebutuhan tersebut di atas, telah dibuat suatu perangkat lunak yang menggunakan pendekatan integrasi dan basis data. Pendekatan integrasi digunakan karena memiliki keunggulan dalam hal kemudahan, kumpulan Input/Output (I/O) handlers dapat digunakan, fleksibel, dan fungsional, sehingga interaksi pengguna menjadi lebih seragam dan kuat. Pendekatan basis data, khususnya basis data berorientasi objek, memiliki keunggulan dalam hal banyaknya objek yang tak terbatas dan dapat menambah atribut pada objek apapun. Menggunakan kedua pendekatan di atas, perangkat lunak memperlihatkan peralatan-peralatannya dapat berinteraksi satu sama lain, kontrol perubahan sangat mudah dikelola, dan pengguna dapat membangun sistem kendala, sehingga memungkinkan manipulasi basis data.

Abstract

Digital transformation in higher education institutions (HEIs) requires not only the adoption of technology but also a clear roadmap for successful implementation and effective change management. As independently funded institutions, private HEIs must also consider their strategic and operational business needs. This study aims to identify and analyze business process improvements in the governance of the Internal Quality Assurance System (Sistem Penjaminan Mutu Internal/SPMI) through a single case study of a private vocational HEI in Indonesia. The research consisted of a literature review, identification of primary and supporting business processes, focus group discussions (FGDs), and value chain analysis. Business process improvement was conducted through five stages: organizing for improvement, understanding the process, streamlining, measuring and controlling, and continuous improvement. Business Process Model and Notation (BPMN) was used to model and visualize the redesigned business processes. The findings produced a comprehensive blueprint of the internal quality assurance process and the SPMI business process cycle for vocational HEIs. The redesigned process addresses a critical gap in the previous system by strengthening the linkage between evaluation and control outcomes and institutional policy formulation. The improved SPMI cycle is more structured and efficient through refinements to the audit process, the application of Eisenhower Matrix analysis, and the management of indicator duplication. In addition, the study developed a real-time e-SPMI dashboard and a base-indicator detection feature to minimize indicator duplication. This study contributes theoretically by integrating the SPMI literature with a business process improvement perspective and extending value chain analysis within internal quality assurance. Practically, it provides a BPMN-based process model and value chain framework that can be directly implemented at Politeknik Caltex Riau (PCR) and adapted by other private vocational HEIs with similar organizational contexts.

Abstract

Academic quality assurance (QA) in higher education institutions (HEIs) typically relies on conducting student surveys every semester to evaluate lecturer performance. However, the data processing in the case study remains manual in Microsoft Excel. Data processing results in 3 to 4 days of reporting delay per cycle. There are issues with data inconsistency, duplication, and non-automated mapping of questions into variables. This study aims to develop a business intelligence (BI) dashboard using Power BI that supports data-driven academic QA. The system was developed using human-centered design thinking and the four-step Kimball data warehousing methodology. The resulting dashboard comprises six main pages incorporating Pythonbased sentiment analysis. This dashboard includes interactive filtering and automated mapping of question variables. Evaluation through task-based usability testing yielded a 100% task completion rate, an average Single Ease Question score of 6.08 out of 7, and 100% data validity within a ±0.01 tolerance. In addition, all 43 visuals load in under 500 milliseconds. Theoretically, this study contributes a validated socio-technical BI framework demonstrating that user-participatory development has implications for organizational culture and decision-making in vocational HEIs. Practically, this dashboard eliminates manual reporting bottlenecks and enables stakeholders to monitor lecturer performance and generate reports more efficiently.
