Abstract

Abstract: This paper aims to explore the connection between spirituality and entrepreneurship. Spirituality is a part of theology, and it has recently become an important topic in the field of economy particularly in entrepreneurship. Spirituality strengthens the commitment of entrepreneurs to advance their businesses, to help them deal with stressful situations, to sharpen the vision of their businesses, and to motivate them in keeping their business values. Spirituality also supports the entrepreneurs in giving meaning to their work, to increase their happiness, and to make them more loyal to the organization. By having a strong spirituality, the entrepreneurs can run their businesses not only to gain profits – for themselves and others – but also to enable them to better serve the people. Keywords: spirituality, entrepreneurship, theology, business, driving force, capital

Abstract

Online buying is growing and has become very common during the COVID-19 pandemic period. A large number of companies take advantage of this method, and many consumers find it helpful to the existing technology. In this study, the researcher wanted to investigate the strategic priority of convenience for online Shopping of the Generation Y consumer. Data were collected from college students and analysed using Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP). The results of the analysis showed that the criteria of easy comparison of prices of the goods to be purchased are the highest value (28.544 per cent). The global weight calculation showed that the availability of information in the form of text and images is the highest (13.789 per cent). Sensitivity analysis showed that the results of this global weight are very sensitive to a change in the criteria. This study provides benefits by focusing online businesses' attention on the appearance of their application features, both text, images, and graphics. Competitive product prices must also be a concern for online businesses.

Abstract

The recovery of the tourism industry requires the Siau Tagulandang Biaro Islands Regency to reevaluate its strategy by identifying critical development priorities. That is the aim of the study, which applies the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) and fuzzy-AHP methods. The analysis would serve to identify the key factors and establish strategic recommendations. The results show that facilities are the highest criterion (thirty-four point seven per cent AHP; thirty-four point four per cent Fuzzy-AHP). The global weight calculation shows that Maintaining the ecosystem and cleanliness of beaches/lakes/hot springs are priority elements (eight point six per cent AHP; eight point five per cent Fuzzy-AHP). The sensitivity analysis shows that the results could be more robust, consistent, and stable. These results indicate no significant difference between the AHP and Fuzzy-AHP methods. The tourism development strategy for Siau Tagulandang Biaro Regency must prioritise improving the cleanliness and health of tourist destinations. This research answers an essential problem for the Siau Islands Regency government, Tagulandang Biaro.
