Abstract

This study attempts to present an overview of the problems and their proposed solutions in learning to read and write the Qur'an at Madrasah Diniyah Takmiliyah Awaliyah in Winong Village, Mancak District, Serang Regency, Banten Province. Respondents of this study were students of class v, amounting to 16 people.This research uses descriptive qualitative method by collecting data from observations, interviews and documentation. The results of this study are expected to be able to find obstacles or problems in BTQ learning and provide solutions in overcoming the problems of learning to read and write the Qur'an at the Madrasa.The problems are students' laziness to learn to read and write, difficulty in pronouncing letters according to their Makhraj, so students find it difficult to learn tajwid and use it in reading the Qur'an, and the method of habituation in BTQ learning at the madrasa has not been applied.The solution that can be offered is that parents and teachers continue to strive to provide motivation to learn to read and write with fun methods, choose the right method in learning the hijaiyah letters, and motivate students to learn tajwid in an appropriate and fun method, and the need to apply the habituation method in BTQ learning at the Madrasah.

Abstract

This research aims to examine the role of teachers in shaping student character through rules enforcement and habituation at madrasah. Using a qualitative approach with descriptive methods, data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation at Madrasah Tsanawiyah in Banten Province. The results showed that rules enforcement provided clear behavioral guidelines fostering discipline and responsibility, while habituation established positive behavioral patterns such as honesty and cooperation. Teachers acted not only as enforcers but also as role models implementing humanistic approaches. Integration of both strategies effectively shaped students’ moral character aligned with Islamic values. It is recommended that madrasah enhance teacher training on character education integration to maximize these approaches in daily practice.

Abstract

Pendidikan Islam menekankan keseimbangan antara kecerdasan intelektual, emosional, dan spiritual. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis implementasi pola asuh di Pondok Pesantren Daar El Qolam dan dampaknya terhadap perkembangan ranah afektif (sikap, nilai, dan emosi) santri. Menggunakan metode kualitatif-deskriptif dengan pendekatan studi kasus tunggal, data dikumpulkan melalui observasi langsung dan analisis dokumen. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pola asuh 24 jam di pesantren sangat efektif dan terintegrasi, direalisasikan melalui beberapa komponen utama: (1) Penanaman Disiplin Tinggi melalui jadwal harian ketat (seperti bangun dini hari dan salat berjamaah) yang menumbuhkan sikap cekatan; (2) Pelatihan Kemandirian yang menuntut santri mengurus kebutuhan pribadi untuk menghilangkan ketergantungan; (3) Pengembangan Nilai dan Kepercayaan Diri melalui kajian kitab dan latihan berbicara (muhadhoroh), di mana unsur keteladanan ditekankan dengan mengharuskan santri mengamalkan apa yang disampaikan; (4) Penanaman Sikap Sosial melalui kehidupan berasrama yang melatih santri memahami karakter sesama; serta (5) Penerapan Tata Tertib dan Sanksi sebagai instrumen regulasi emosi dan ketertiban. Pola asuh terpadu ini, yang juga didukung oleh pengembangan bakat dan minat (seperti kesenian dan olahraga) yang dilakukan secara sukarela, terbukti menghasilkan perubahan signifikan dan positif pada perkembangan afektif santri. Kesimpulan dari kajian ini adalah bahwa sistem pola asuh pesantren berperan vital dalam membentuk generasi yang tidak hanya disiplin dan mandiri, tetapi juga memiliki karakter, stabilitas emosi, dan kesiapan sosial untuk hidup bermasyarakat.
