Abstract

This paper aims to analyze the relationship between principal leadership and teacher job satisfaction in recent years. This research uses a systematic review and meta-analysis using JASP 0.14.1.0 software. The search for relevant articles through the Garuda, Eric, and Google Scholar databases with the keywords transformational leadership of school principals and job satisfaction was carried out by the research team. Based on the search results, Garuda found eight articles, Eric found 708 articles, and Google Scholar found 2,820 articles. Furthermore, based on the criteria: leadership, principal leadership, transformational leadership, and teacher job satisfaction, ten articles were selected. The data taken from the selected articles is the number of samples and the r-value in each article. After that, the effect size is calculated. A significant correlation between principals' transformational leadership and teacher job satisfaction was found based on the results of the meta-analysis. The effect size value resulting from the relationship between the two variables is categorized as moderate at the 95 percent confidence level. The effect size value is 0.50, in the interval 0.39 to 0.61. Research analysis in this study has stated the consistency of research and has strengthened existing theories. The results of the study recommend that further research be conducted on madrasah principals and madrasah teachers.

Abstract

Kinerja guru merupakan kegiatan yang dilaksanakan seorang guru dalam pembelajaran yang sudah direncanakan sebagai tugas dan tanggungjawabnya di sekolah. Fakta di lapangan, sejak digulirkannya kurikulum 2013 guru masih belum maksimal dalam memahami prosedur melaksanakan pembelajaran saintifik dan penilaian autentik di sekolah, padahal sebagian guru telah memiliki sertifikat pendidik dan menerima tunjangan sertifikasi sebesar satu kali gaji sebagai bentuk penghargaan atas keprofesionalannya. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan teknik deskriptif komparatif yakni dengan melakukan pengamatan, studi dokumentasi, dan wawancara serta triangulasi kepada informan terpilih di 3 sekolah berbeda di Kabupaten Serang Banten. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan kinerja guru bersertifikasi dan non sertifikasi dalam menyusun rencana pembelajaran, dalam melaksanakan proses pembelajaran saintifik guru dalam melaksanakan penilaian autentik, dan dalam menunjukkan etos kerja guru bersertifikasi telah tergolong baik sedangkan guru non sertifikasi tergolong kategori cukup. Dengan demikian, semua guru dan pemerintah seharusnya dapat meningkatkan kinerjanya menjadi lebih baik lagi terlebih bagi guru yang telah bersertifikat pendidik.

Abstract

One of the factors that influence the success of an organization's business is the management of information technology (IT) infrastructure that is run well, the Information Technology Literacy as a provider of IS/IT products and services must have the ability to do so. This research consists of two types of research, namely correlation research which will examine the relationship between internal customer satisfaction and seven independent variables. Results of correlation analysis showed that there was a significant effect positive between internal customer satisfaction with seven variable quality of the products and services of IS/IT (reject H 0 hypothesis 1) and there is significant influence positively the quality of the products and services of IS / IT to the perception of improved performance internal customers (reject H 0 in hypothesis 2). The average value of the satisfaction dependent variable is 3.326 and the dependent variable is the perception of increased internal customer performance: 3,430 which means that internal customers currently feel quite satisfied and feel a sufficient increase in their performance after receiving and using the IS/IT products and services provided. by the Information System Service Bureau at STT-PLN . The results of the Mann-Whitney analysis reject H 0 in hypothesis 3, in other words there are significant differences in the assessment of performance aspects between internal customers and IT personnel on the performance of the IT Literacy. Aspects that include: response to problems, development of IS and viruses.

Abstract

This research aims to describe the strategy and application of interactive learning media in Islamic education subjects at the Al-Uyun Lebak foundation. This research uses qualitative research that produces descriptive data. The research location is at the Al-Uyun Lebak Foundation, when the research was carried out on 2-19 December 2022. The research subjects were the Head of the Foundation, and Education Staff & Educators (Islamic education teachers), as well as students. While the research object is focused on PAI interactive learning media at the Al-Uyun Lebak Foundation. The research population is all students at the Al-Uyun Lebak Foundation, for a research sample of 10 (ten) people. Data collection techniques are through interviews, documentation, and observation. Data analysis through data reduction, then data display, inference and verification. The results of the research are related to the strategy used in interactive learning media, which refers to the steps for making material with the SlideDog application in the application of PAI learning subjects. Regarding the application of interactive learning media in PAI subjects, the material for prayer procedures using the SlideDog application is designed as attractive as possible with the addition of prayer practice videos, in practice it runs smoothly even though there are several obstacles, but they can still be handle.

Abstract

Artikel ini membahas tentang sinergitas peran komite dan kepala sekolah dalam proses pencapaian mutu pendidikan di SMK Babunnajah Pandeglang. Penelitian ini bertujuan: untuk mengetahui bentuk hubungan komite dan kepala sekolah dengan pencapaian mutu pendidikan di SMK Babunnajah Pandeglang dan untuk mengetahui indikator mutu pendidikan di SMK Babunnajah Pandeglang. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan yaitu kualitatif deskriptif. Adapun sumber data penelitian yakni komite sekolah, kepala Sekolah, dan guru. Data diperoleh melalui observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Selanjutnya data pemeriksaan keabsahan data penelitian ini dilakukan triangulasi dengan sumber. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa Komite sekolah memiliki hubungan dengan kepala sekolah terkait perannya sebagai pemberi pertimbangan, pendukung, pengontrol, dan mediator dalam proses pencapaian mutu pendidikan di SMK Babunnajah Pandeglang. Namun dalam pelaksanaan tugas komite sekolah sebagai perwakilan dari masyarakat belum maksimal seperti pelaksanaan perannya dalam menampung keluhan dari masyarakat dan juga masih ada tugas dan fungsinya yang belum terlaksana yaitu memberi pertimbangan terkait kerja sama sekolah dengan pihak lain. Terkait indikator mutu pendidikan di SMK Babunnajah Pandeglang mencakup pengelolaan inputnya (proses penerimaan peserta didik baru), proses pendidikannya (proses pembelajarannya), dan outputnya (yang meliputi kualitas lulusan yang dicapai baik prestasi akademik maupun prestasi non akademik).

Abstract

Many universities in Indonesia require their students to conduct research article writing and publish it in reputable journal. Although, writing a research article in English is challenging, however, students  must have an effective strategy to solve those challenges. In addition, the appearance of digital media might be very useful for students to conduct writing scientific research. This study aims to identify the challenges faced by four EFL postgraduate students while writing the research article and to explore the strategies and digital media used by them. An in-depth interview through narrative inquiry approach was employed to collect the data from the participants’ experiences. The findings of this study show that the participants find some challenges in writing a research article, there is the lack of language proficiency, the difficulty in finding the relevant respondents and references, and time management. However, it can be solved by strategies, such as, cognitive strategy, metacognitive strategy, social strategy, and affective strategy, and digital media used by them. This study might be used to provide additional information relating to the strategy and digital media to support research.

Abstract

TikTok, as a social media platform, is increasingly gaining attention in English language teaching (ELT) due to its potential to enhance speaking and listening skills through interactive learning experiences. However, its effectiveness in formal education is still debated due to challenges pedagogical. This study aims to synthesize evidence related to the role of TikTok in English Language Teaching (ELT), specifically its impact on students' speaking, listening, and engagement learning. This study employs a systematic review method based on the PRISMA guidelines, with data search using the keywords “Digital Learning; English Language Teaching (ELT); Learner Engagement; Social Media; TikTok” in five academic databases, namely Scopus (n = 30), Mendeley (n = 25), Publish or Perish (n = 40), Google Scholar (n = 50), as well as additional sources from ResearchGate (n = 4), Academia.edu (n = 1), and institutional repositories (n = 3). Of the 153 studies found, 48 were thoroughly reviewed, and 20 final studies were analyzed. The results show that TikTok can improve students’ pronunciation exercises, listening comprehension, and learning motivation. However, challenges such as content validity, curriculum integration, and potential distractions remain concerns. In conclusion, TikTok has the potential to serve as an additional learning tool in ELT, increasing engagement and language acquisition; however, a structured pedagogical strategy is necessary to maximize its benefits and address existing challenges. More research is needed to identify best practices in integrating TikTok into formal education.

Abstract

This research examines the impact of implementing mind mapping in English Language Teaching (ELT) using a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) approach. Mind mapping is widely regarded as an effective technique for enhancing students' cognitive abilities, including comprehension, vocabulary retention, and creativity in language learning. By analyzing various studies from academic sources, this research identifies key benefits, challenges, and best strategies for using mind mapping in ELT. The findings reveal that this technique can enhance student engagement, critical thinking skills, and language proficiency. Additionally, mind mapping facilitates a more structured and interactive learning process. This study highlights the importance of integrating mind mapping into ELT.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the effectiveness of the Flipped Classroom method in improving English writing skills among students. The Flipped Classroom method allows students to learn basic theories and concepts independently through learning videos and online materials outside of class, while face-to-face time in the classroom is used for interactive discussions, writing exercises, as well as face-to-face feedback. This approach is expected to overcome the limitations of traditional learning methods that often do not provide enough time for students to practice writing intensively. Flipped classroom technology approach in this academic paper means a key pedagogical innovation that displays potential in reaching countless diverse learners in the classroom. Applying technology and engaging tasks that offer varied cognitive challenges for learners can help develop their higher-order thinking skills and encourage life-long learning. This method aligns with the evolving demands of 21st-century education, emphasizing student-centered learning, critical thinking, and active engagement. In the context of ELT, flipped learning offers a promising framework to enhance language acquisition by providing learners with more opportunities to practice and apply their skills in meaningful contexts.

Abstract

The use of online games in English Language Teaching (ELT) has gained attention for its potential to enhance student engagement and learning outcomes. This study systematically reviews existing literature on the effectiveness of online games in improving vocabulary, grammar, reading, speaking, listening, and learning motivation while identifying key success factors. Following the PRISMA guidelines, 30 studies published between 2020 and 2025 from Google Scholar, PubMed, and Mendeley were analyzed. The findings show that online games create an immersive and interactive learning environment, increasing motivation and facilitating contextual language acquisition. Gamification elements such as points, leaderboards, real-time feedback, and adaptive challenges improve engagement and retention. However, challenges such as limited technological access, insufficient teacher training, and curriculum integration issues hinder implementation. The study concludes that while online games offer significant benefits for ELT, their effectiveness depends on strategic integration and teacher support. Future research should explore best practices for combining online games with traditional teaching methods to optimize learning outcomes.
