Abstract

This study examines the effect of capital, asset quality, liquidity, and operational efficiency on profitability using a dataset of 7 Islamic commercial banks in Indonesia over the 2014-2018 period. This research uses a quantitative approach. The analysis technique uses Panel Least Square processed by Eviews 8. We find that the Islamic bank’s profitability is affected by operational efficiency. Nevertheless, the capital factor, asset quality, and liquidity have no impact on the Islamic bank’s profitability. In addition, the evidence shows that the bank’s fund has not been maximized to financing.

Abstract

Abstract. Demak Regency has a coastal area which is one of the livelihoods of fishermen, namely Kampung Rajungan Demak. A part of social potential in Coastal society is women especially fishermen wives. Coastal women has an important role at fishing households. Wives should only be responsible for the domestic sector, but this developes when women fisherman play a role to looking for a living. The involvement of the women fisherman in earning a living creates a double rol in the household. This research assesses the dual role of woman fisheman in the household economy. This research was conducted in Betahwalang Village, Bonang District, Demak Regency. The purpose of this study is to reveal the dual role of women fisherman in empowering the household economy. This research used qualitaive data analysis method with interview, observation and documentation data collection techniques. The results of this research showed that the double role of women fisherman provides a significant contribution in improving the household economy.Abstrak. Kabupaten Demak memiliki wilayah pesisir yang menjadi salah satu sumber mata pencaharian para nelayan yakni Kampung Rajungan Demak. Salah satu komponen potensi sosial dalam masyarakat pesisir adalah kaum perempuan khususnya istri nelayan. Perempuan pesisir memiliki peran penting dalam rumah tangga nelayan. Seyogyanya istri hanya bertanggung jawab pada sektor domestik, namun hal tersebut berkembang apabila kaum istri ikut berperan dalam mencari nafkah. Keterlibatan istri dalam mencari nafkah menimbulkan peran ganda di dalam rumah tangga. Penelitian ini menggambarkan peran ganda istri nelayan dalam ekonomi rumah tangga. Penelitian ini dilakukan di Desa Betahwalang Kecamatan Bonang Kabupaten Demak. Tujuan kajian artikel ini adalah mengungkap peran ganda istri nelayan dalam penguatan ekonomi rumah tangga.  Metode analisa data yang digunakan adalah metode kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data wawancara, observasi dan dokumentasi. Dari hasil penelitian tersebut menggambarkan bahwa peran ganda istri nelayan memberikan kontribusi yang signifikan dalam penguatan ekonomi rumah tangga.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of intellectual capital on the financial performance, consist of capital, asset quality, earning, liquidity, of Islamic Rural Banks. The data of the research is in the form of secondary data on financial performance information obtained with documentation techniques. Capital performance is measured by CAR, asset quality by NPF, earning by ROA, and liquidity by CR. The population of this study was 163 BPRS throughout Indonesia. We use the purposive-sampling technique and the sample obtained is 26 BPRS in Central Java. The number of sample data is 69 data, for the period 2018-2020. We use the Partial Least Square method in processing data with the help of SmartPLS 3. This study results that intellectual capital affects financial performance (capital, asset quality, and earning), except for liquidity performance.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of good governance in Zakat Management Organisation (Baznas) Kudus. This study uses a qualitative method with an interpretive approach. The type of research is field research. The setting of the research was carried out at the Badan Amil Zakat Nasional (Baznas) of Kudus Regency. Data analysis techniques using data reduction, data presentation, and concluding. The informants of this research are the staff of Baznas Kudus and zakat stakeholders. The results of this study indicate that BAZNAS Kudus has been quite good in implementing the principles of transparency, accountability, responsibility, independence, and fairness. Komite Nasional Kebijakan Governansi (KNKG) in 2022 has issued General Guidelines for the Governance of Indonesian Non-Profit Organizations. The governance principles are transparency, accountability, ethics, and sustainability. For further research, this guide can be used as an analysis tool for the implementation of good governance in nonprofit organizations.
