Abstract

A series circuit is a parallel circuit or a circuit system that connects from a voltage source (V) to a load, while a parallel circuit is a branching circuit that connects from a voltage source to a load. The measurement process in the electric power system is one of the standard procedures that must be carried out, because through the measurement, the required quantities will be obtained in accordance with the requirements of PUIL 2000. three phases by making a series and parallel installation circuit. The method used in this research is to test, measure and calculate the value of voltage (V), current (I), resistance (R) and load power (P) in a series of single-phase and three-phase electrical installations in series and parallel. Based on measurements and calculation results, the maximum total current generated in a single phase series circuit installation is 82.57 Ampere, which applies equally to L1, L2, L3 and L4. The maximum total current generated in a parallel circuit is 129.35 Amperes at L1 and a minimum current of 96.29 Amperes at L4. For the maximum real power (P) generated in a single-phase series series installation is 13872 Watts and in parallel circuits is 21523 Watts, for the maximum apparent power (S) generated in a single-phase series series installation is 17339 Watts and in parallel circuits is 26904 Watt. While the maximum total current generated in a three-phase series series installation is 94.33 Amperes, which applies equally to L1, L2, L3 and L4. The maximum total current generated in a parallel circuit is 150.56 Amperes at L1, and a minimum current of 120.17 Amperes is located at L4. For the maximum real power (P) generated in a three-phase series series installation is 34637 Watt and in a parallel circuit is 54876 Watt, while the maximum apparent power (S) generated in a series circuit is 43297 Watt and in a parallel circuit is 68595 Watt.

Abstract

As technology advances, the development of equipment used by humans is increasing and most of the equipment produces unwanted sounds that cause noise. To overcome this, an alternative material for soundproofing is needed which is relatively cheap and easily available in the community by using marble powder as a polyurethane mixture in soundproof panels. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the sound absorption coefficient value and to determine the relationship between the frequency of the sound source and the sound absorption coefficient of acoustic materials using marble powder mixed with polyurethane in different compositions. The sound absorption test in this study was carried out using a two-microphone impedance tube and has a frequency limit of 125 Hz - 4000 Hz, variations in the mass composition of marble and polyurethane powder 1: 1, 1: 2 and 1: 3 with a thickness of 5 cm, 3cm and 1 cm. Then the test results of the 1: 1 test specimen, the lowest sound absorption coefficient value was obtained 0.10 0.73 cm-1 at a thickness of 1 cm with a frequency of 4000 Hz and the highest was 0.73 cm-1 at a thickness of 5 cm with a frequency of 125 Hz, the test results 1: 2 test specimen, the lowest sound absorption coefficient value is 0.29 cm-1 at a thickness of 5 cm at a frequency of 4000 Hz and the highest is 0.67 cm-1 at a thickness of 5 cm at 250 Hz, then the test results of the test specimen are 1: 3 values The lowest sound absorption coefficient was 0.24 at a thickness of 1 cm at a frequency of 4000 Hz and the highest was 0.71 at a thickness of 5 cm at a frequency of 250 Hz. For the comparison of the sound absorption coefficient values ​​based on the composition and thickness, the lowest and highest sound absorption coefficient values ​​are found in 1: 1 specimens with a thickness of 1 cm and 5 cm with the best sound absorption coefficient values ​​on average at a frequency of 500 Hz, but in material 1:2 and 1:3 obtained the sound absorption coefficient values ​​are in between on the grounds that the thicker the material, the higher the sound absorption coefficient value. Thus it can be concluded that the polyurethane composite material mixed with marble powder can be used as a sound absorbing panel material, especially in a 1: 1 composition

Abstract

The G-3503 centrifugal pump functions to flow Diethanolamine fluid with a viscosity of 380 Cp which functions to reduce H2S and CO2 levels in natural gas. When operating, the pump shaft experiences a torque load which causes the shaft to be twisted by 80. From the exact and finite element analysis results, the shear stress that occurs on the shaft is greater than the shear stress of the shaft material. Thus, the shaft is deformed plastically. The shear stress that occurs is 164 MPa

Abstract

The process of freezing fish always requires a cooler as a temporary storage place for fish. The ability of the storage to maintain cold temperatures is a serious problem to be considered so that the freshness of the fish can be maintained. Therefore, an appropriate technology is required to support the cold chain system so that fish quality can be maintained. The purpose of this study was to test the thermal conductivity of composite materials for fish storage insulation from a mixture of rice husks and polyurethane so that the price of the box can be reduced but still maintain the quality of the fish. The composition of the composite material was made with a volume ratio of 1:0.5, 1:1, 1:1.5, and 1:2. The thermal conductivity test of the material uses the ASTM E1225-99 standard. All test results were compared with 100% polyurethane material. The results of testing the thermal conductivity of 100% polyurethane material obtained 0.023 W/m.C. From all the test results, the material that is most likely to be applied to fish cooler box insulation is a 1:1 composition having a thermal conductivity value of 0.067W/m.C. Materials with this composition do not affect the expansion of the polyol and isocyanate reactions. This composition is the most economical to be used as insulation for fish storage boxes which can save the use of polyurethane by 50%.

Abstract

Industri kerajinan batu marmer saat ini berkembang pesat. Salah satu hasil dari industri marmer yang sering menjadi limbah adalah sisa pemotongan marmer. Limbah ini bisa diolah menjadi agregat pengganti pasir pada batu bata ringan yang pada akhirnya bisa dimanfaatkan sebagai bahan rekayasa material. Bata Ringan adalah salah satu jenis bata yang menggunakan busa sebagai agregat ringan. Batu bata ringan dibuat dengan mencampurkan campuran semen, limbah batu marmer, air, serat Tandan Kosong Kelapa Sawit (TTKS) dan busa di mixer lalu dituangkan ke dalam cetakan. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah pengembangan material bata ringan yang terbuat dari limbah marmer yang diperkuat serat TKKS dan untuk mengetahui karakteristik mekanik melalui pengujian statis. Hasil uji kompresi terbaik pada spesimen B4 dengan kuat tekan 4,11 MPa dan kuat tarik tidak langsung pada spesimen C1 yaitu sebesar 34,61 MPa dan posisi kedua adalah spesimen B4 yaitu 32,3 MPa. Jika dilihat dari kekuatan tekan dan tarikan tidak langsung, spesimen B4 direkomendasikan untuk pembuatan produk bata ringan. Dengan pemanfaatan limbah ini akan mengurangi pencemaran terhadap lingkungan dan akan meningkatkan nilai tambah dari produk yang dihasilkan.

Abstract

Water hyacinth is one of the agricultural commodities that contain elements of lignocellulose so that a potential raw material in the manufacture of composite materials because growth is relatively fast and very easy to obtain. The purpose of this study is to make a fine powder composite specimen water hyacinth 10%, 20% and 30%, and find the value of the mechanical characteristics of the composite specimen fine powder of water hyacinth to perform tensile strength using testing standard ASTM D638M-84. Specimens were made with the simplest method (hand lay up). Furthermore, the composite was left for approximately 24 hours so that the results are as expected. From the tensile test results obtained by the value of the average voltage 14.987 KPa, average of 3.804 strain, and modulus of elasticity average 442.8 KPa. It is known that the higher the percentage of the fine powder of the resin, the higher value of tensile strength and modulus of elasticity.

Abstract

The peg is a component that functions as a binder between the shaft and the hub in transmitting power and rotation. In general, the pegs are designed and made using metal materials such as mild carbon steel. In this research, the material of the coupling pin design on the centrifugal pump shaft is S45C. Where on the sample of the designed post, an impact test or the Charpy method of hitting the notch is carried out which aims to determine the amount of resistance to sudden loading and to determine the physical changes (failure modes) experienced by the post material. In this study, the sample of the post with dimensions of 6.10 mm x 6.10 mm x 55 mm obtained a large impact strength (impact strength) in the Charpy method impact test of 0.8445 Joule/mm2. And for the physical change (failure mode) experienced by the post material against the sudden loading, it is a brittle fracture that is characterized by physical characteristics in the form of granular (like sand) on the fracture surface, and the absence of plastic deformation that occurred first.

Abstract

In the lathe machining process, especially surface roughness, are greatly influenced by the cutting angle of the tool, feeding speed, cutting speed and depth of cut. Research purposes is to determine the effect of cutting conditions, namely cutting speed (v) and cutting depth (a) on the level of surface roughness (Ra) on the ST37 As Scrapper material using quantitative research methods that focus on numeric or numbers in a study. The research results obtained a value of Ra ⃗= 6.063 µm at optimum cutting conditions varying a= 1 mm, v= 62 m/min, f= 0.05 mm, tc= 5.29 min.

Abstract

Perahu tradisional membutuhkan pohon untuk pembuatannya. Jumlah pohon yang semakin terbatas,proses pembuatan yang relatif lama dan masa pakai yang singkat membuat perahu tradisional ini semakin tidak efektif lagi untuk digunakan. Maka diperlukan teknologi alternatif yang dapat diterapkan untuk mengatasi hal tersebut, penerapan teknologi perahu fiberglass dapat diterapkan. Tujuan penerapan teknologi perahu fiberglass adalah pembuatan perahu fiberglass yang berfokus pada perubahan penggunaan material perahu dari kayu ke fiberglass sehingga dapat dihasilkan perahu yang murah, kuat dan tahan lama sehingga dapat memperbaiki hasil produksi nelayan. Penelitian dilaksanakan di desa Suak Bakung Kecamatan Kluet Selatan, Kabupaten Aceh Selatan, dengan tahapan 1). Pembuatan cetakan, 2). Pembuatan perahu metode hand lay-up, 3). Pengujian dan evaluasi. Penelitian menghasilkan sebuah produk perahu fiberglass dengan ukuran dimensi panjang perahu 4,5 meter, lebar maksimum perahu 80 cm dan tinggi 40 cm dengan kapasitas penumpang maksimum 4 orang. Pengujian menunjukkan bahwa perahu fiberglass aman dan layak digunakan di Sungai Kluet dan hasil evaluasi bahwa aspek estetika terjadi peningkatan sekitar 9,5% jika dibandingkan denganhasil perahu dari kayu. Dengan menggunakan perahu nelayan sebagai cetakan biaya produksi menjadilebih hemat sekitar 22,5% jika jika harus menggunakan cetakan yang dirancang bangun. Produksiperahu fiberglass dengan cetakan perahu yang ada akan menjadi lebih ekonomis dan harga perahudapat dijual murah kepada masyarakat

Abstract

This research aims to investigate the macro structure of a composite material mixed with rice husk and polyurethane. Determine the material with the best composition to apply to the cooler or fish storage area. The urgency of this research is the application of appropriate technological concepts to support the cold chain system so that the quality of fishermen's catches can be maintained. One of the efforts made is to make composite materials for insulation from a mixture of rice husks and polyurethane with various composition ratios ranging from 1:0.5 to 1:2 polyurethane-rice husks. The results of the research show that each composition obtains different results. From the macro photo test resultsed it shows that the lowest maximum area is in the 1:2 composition, namely 1:2A 14393, 1:2B 5232, 1:2C 4013. From all the test results, the composition is 1:2 is the most feasible material for making fish cooler box insulation because, this composition does not affect the expansion of the polyol and issocianate reaction
