Abstract

The implementation of the Independent Campus Freedom to Learn program launched by the Ministry of Education and Culture in 2020 caused various reactions from various parties in the higher education sector. Gradually many universities are trying to adapt and encourage students to be able to participate actively in the various types of programs offered. The same reaction was also found among students in the Arabic Language and Culture (BKA) study program at Al Azhar University Indonesia. Various perceptions emerged from students in responding to this MBKM program. This study tries to describe the student's perception, more specifically in terms of three aspects: knowledge of the program, perception of the urgency of the MBKM program, and student interest in participating. The research data was obtained through quantitative research instruments in the form of research questionnaires distributed to all 250 students of the BKA Study Program. After conducting a survey and descriptive statistical analysis it was found that; 1) BKA Study Program students' knowledge of the MBKM program is quite high, 75% of students have received information about the MBKM program with various levels of knowledge, and some are fully aware, know most, and know little, through various sources of information, 2) Student perceptions of the benefits and the urgency of the MBKM program is depicted very positively. Most believe that the program is beneficial for students in developing their competencies and soft skills as a provision to face post-graduate life from university, 3) Student interest and interest is quite high, more than 50% expressed interest in joining the MBKM program, and are even willing to recommend it to colleagues. Among the MBKM programs that are in great demand by students are internships or work practices and student exchanges.Keywords – MBKM Curriculum, Student Perceptions, MBKM Urgency, MBKM Curriculum

Abstract

This descriptive library research describes the active research topics and methods most interested postgraduate students majoring in Arabic in master's and doctoral degrees. It explains the representation of research dynamic map in Arabic learning supported by corpus linguistic analysis. This research applied two research approaches; the quantitative approach was used to describe the frequency of words used by the postgrad students in their academic writings analyzed by Antconc software. A qualitative approach was used to explain the representation of corpus-based findings. The data are taken from abstracts of Arabic academic writings belonging to one of the Indonesian public universities’ digital libraries. The results showed that students' most popular research topics in the last five years are education topics, namely materials and textbooks development; second, linguistics topics such as naḥwu and tarkīb, and language skills is mahārah kalam. This study shows that students tend to research naḥwu and tarkīb based on speaking skills material. The most widely used students research method was Research and Development (R RD). Students tend to develop teaching materials with various perspectives, as RD was a trend of research method. As a result, students are expected to gain an overview of the dynamic discourse map and research trends in Arabic learning as a foundation or preliminary research to select and determine research topics and methods for the final project. To avoid similarity, plagiarism, and saturation, one must choose variations in topics and types of research methods and follow existing trends.

Abstract

The morphological process of Arabic active participles from strong and weak verbs was investigated using optimality theory in algorithm formulation. Wright (1996) and Wher (199)4 provided research data for this study. The study's goal is to capture the input of triliteral verbs that can generate multiple outputs to form active participles with many constraints, as well as to formulate one-to-one form-meaning relations in every step of the morphological process to form active participles. The two objectives were completed for the purpose of developing an algorithm for an Arabic morphological computer programme. According to the findings of this study, the morphological rules of Arabic provide opportunities for violations, so that the output forms become the most optimal forms precisely because they violate these rules. In other words, because there are so many exceptions in the process of forming the active participle, developing a morphological model is difficult. However, OT provides the appropriate model to allow for the formulation of every single form of an existing participle. مستخلص قام هذا البحث بتحليل وصياغة العملية الصرفية لتكوين اسم الفاعل باللغة العربية المشتقة من الأفعال الثلاثية الصحيحة والأفعال المعتلة باستخدام نظرية المثلى (Optimaliy Theory-OT) المتعلقة بصياغة الخوارزمية. تم جمع بيانات البحث من Wright (1996) و Wher (1994). إن اهتمام الدراسة هو التقاط مدخلات الأفعال الثلاثية التي يمكن أن تولد عددًا من النواتج في تكوين اسم الفاعل مع عدد من القيود؛ ولصياغة علاقة معنى واحد لواحد في كل خطوة مفردة من العملية المورفولوجية لتكوين اسم الفاعل. وأوضحت نتائج هذه الدراسة أن القواعد الصرفية للغة العربية توفر فرصًا للانتهاك، بحيث تصبح صياغة النتائج هي الصياغة المثلى، على وجه التحديد لأنها تنتهك هذه القواعد. بعبارة أخرى، هناك العديد من الاستثناءات في عملية تكوين اسم الفاعل، لذا فإن صياغة نموذج صرفي ليس بالأمر السهل. ومع ذلك، تقدم نظرية المثلى النموذج الصحيح بحيث لا يزال من الممكن صياغة أي اسم الفاعل. الكلمات المفتاحية: نظرية المثلى؛ الفعل الصحيح؛ الفعل المعتل؛ الادخال-الإنتاج
