Abstract

Many students are less interested in mathematics, where mathematics is known for its difficulties. But there are also students who enjoy math lessons. The attitudes and traits of students are quite diverse in the classroom with some of the characters they have. As teachers, we must be able to understand and shape the character of students so that they become good students. The purpose of character education is to form the mental and attitudes of students to be more positive. SDN Badak Anom became one of the schools chosen to see the various characters of students in the classroom during mathematics learning. Therefore, students are expected to have the ability of cognitive aspects, psychomotor aspects, and effective aspects. Then apply positive character values. Religious values, discipline values, tolerance values, and responsibility values.

Abstract

Gaya belajar mempengaruhi tingkat keberhasilan siswa dalam pembelajaran. Kemampuan siswa untuk memahami mata pelajaran tentunya berbeda dan gaya belajar setiap siswa juga tentunya berbeda-beda. Siswa mampu menyerap pelajaran atau membuat proses pembelajaran menjadi lebih mudah dengan gaya belajar yang dimilikinya. Oleh karena itu, perlu adanya pembinaan dan bimbingan kepada siswa untuk menentukan metode pembelajaran yang sesuai sehingga proses pembelajaran dapat berjalan dengan efektif. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: (1) mendeskripsikan gaya belajar siswa (2) mendeskripsikan bagaimana mencari tahu gaya belajar siswa (3) mendeskripsikan strategi yang dilakukan untuk mempermudah proses pembelajaran sesuai dengan gaya belajar siswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan penelitian kualitatif deskriptif metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa: Pertama, gaya belajar siswa mempunyai tiga tipe gaya belajar pada umumnya yaitu visual, auditori dan kinestetik. Kedua, cara mengetahui gaya belajar siswa melalui observasi atau melakukan survei atau tes gaya belajar. Ketiga, strategis yang dilakukan untuk mempermudah proses pembelajaran sesuai gaya belajarnya sendiri bisa dengan menggunkan materi visual seperti gambar, mendorong siswa untuk membaca materi dengan suara yang keras, dan mengajak anak belajar sambil menjelajah lingkungan.

Abstract

This study discusses the application of a scientific approach with a focus on the cognitive domain as an effort to improve the critical thinking skills of elementary school students. The scientific approach emphasizes student-centered learning and involves exploration, observation and experimentation in the learning process. The cognitive domain on the other hand focuses on developing higher-order thinking skills such as analysis, synthesis, evaluation and reflection. Through the application of a scientific approach to the cognitive domain, students are given the opportunity to develop critical thinking skills from an early age. By applying the application of a scientific approach to the cognitive domain, it is hoped that elementary school students can develop their critical thinking skills effectively. This research hopes to provide practical insights and recommendations for educators and policy makers in an effort to improve the critical thinking skills of elementary school students.
