Abstract

This study aims to: (1) find out the significant differences of students’ math reasoning abilities with the Discovery Learning model, Connected Mathematics Project (CMP) learning model, and conventional learning models; (2) find out which one of the above models are considered as the better model. This study was a quasi-experimental with the population from eighth grade students of SMPN 6 Bengkulu city and took sample from three classes namely VIII-D as the experimental class 1, class VIII-E as the experimental class 2, and class VIII-F as the control class.The technique for collecting data used a test of mathematics reasoning ability and analyzed by using one-way ANOVA test and continued with LSD test. Based on the result of study there were significat differences in students’ math reasoning abilities by using Discovery Learning, Connected Mathematics Project (CMP) and the conventional learning models.From the BNT test was obtained that Connected Mathematics Project (CMP) learning model gives the better results of students’ mathematics reasoning abilities than the Discovery Learning and Conventional learning models. Keywords: Reasoning Ability, Discovery Learning, CMP

Abstract

Mathematical creative thinking ability is the ability of students in generating new ideas to solve mathematical problems. To develop mathematical creative thinking abilities of students, teachers must have and implement a learning model that fits in the learning process. Learning model that can be used to measure students' ability to think creatively mathematical namely the model of inquiry learning and teaching model . This study aims to determine whether the inquiry learning model in individually and together better than conventional. This research is a quasi experimental research with the population of students class X SMAN 01 Mukomuko The sample in this study is student class X 3 and class X 1 as a class experiment and X 2 as a class control. This study was conducted in April-May 2015. Data was collected using a mathematical creative thinking ability test. Data were analyzed using statistical tests Anova test of the lanes and the Advanced Test (BNT). Based on calculations obtained Anava no difference mathematically creative thinking abilities of students in class experimen I, experiment II, and class control. Based on the test of Least Significant Difference (LSD) showed that three treatments give different results. Based average value the final test learning  and conventional learning in develop student to think creatively mathematical good to teacher or a student. Keywords : Creative Thinking Mathematically, Inquiry

Abstract

AbstrakTujuan penelitian ini adalah mengetahui perbedaan kemampuan penalaran matematis siswa antara model discovery learning dan jigsaw. Jenis penelitian adalah eksperimen semu. Tempat penelitian diaksanakan di SMP Negeri 18 Kota Bengkulu. Populasi pada penelitian seluruh siswa kelas VII. Sampel penelitian dipilih secara acak sederhana yaitu kelas VII.1 sebagai kelas eksperimen 1, pembelajaran dengan menggunakan model discovery learning, kelas VII.5 sebagai kelas eksperimen 2, pembelajaran dengan menggunakan model kooperatif tipe jigsaw, dan kelas VII.3 sebagai kelas kontrol, pembelajaran dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran konvensional. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa kelas eksperimen 1 memperoleh nilai rata-rata tes akhir (post-test) kemampuan penalaran matematis siswa yaitu 12,13, nilai rata-rata eksperimen 2 yaitu 11,45, dan nilai rata-rata kelas kontrol yaitu 9,26. Berdasarkan hasil analisis uji anava satu jalur, dengan signifikan 0,05 diperoleh 𝐹ℎ𝑖𝑡𝑢𝑛𝑔 = > 𝐹𝑡𝑎𝑏𝑒𝑙 = 0,34, maka H0 ditolak. Artinya ada perbedaan signifikan rata-rata kemampuan penalaran matematis siswa pada kelas eksperimen 1, kelas eksperimen 2, dan kelas kontrol. Berdasarkan uji beda nyata (BNT) menunjukan bahwa pembelajaran yang memberikan hasil penalaran matematis yang berbeda adalah model pembelajaran discovery learning dengan konvensional, dan model kooperatif tipe jigsaw dengan konvensional. Sedangkan pembelajaran dengan model discovery learning dan model kooperatif tipe jigsaw tidak memberikan hasil kemampuan penalaran matematis siswa yang berbeda. Model discovery learning dan model kooperatif tipe jigsaw memberikan hasil lebih baik bila dibandingkan dengan model konvensional.Kata kunci: kemampuan penalaran matematis, model discovery learning, model Jigsaw AbstractThe purpose of this study was to determine students' mathematical reasoning abilities with discovery learning models and jigsaw type cooperative learning models. The sample of this study was selected by simple random sampling, namely class VII.1 as experimental class 1 using the discovery learning models, class VII.5 as experimental class 2 using the jigsaw type cooperative learning models, and class VII.3 as control class using conventional learning models. Data were collected by means of tests of students' mathematical reasoning abilities. Based on the results of the one-way ANOVA test, there are significant differences in students' mathematical reasoning abilities in the experimental class 1, experiment class 2 and the control class. The results          of the real difference test (BNT) show that learning that gives different results is the discovery learning models with conventional learning models, and the jigsaw type cooperative learning model with conventional learning models. Meanwhile, learning with discovery learning models and jigsaw type cooperative learning models does not give different results for students' mathematical reasoning abilities. Discovery learning models and jigsaw type cooperative learning models give better results when compared to conventional learning.Keywords: mathematical   reasoning   ability,   discovery   learning   model,   Jigsaw   model

Abstract

Dalam skala pendidikan formal tradisional, berpikir analisis lebih dikedepankan dibandingkan dengan berpikir kreatif matematis. Soal-soal yang ada hanya menuntut mahasiswa menemukan satu cara penyelesaian masalah, padahal percepatan kemajuan teknologi dan keterbatasan sumber daya alam menuntut kita untuk selalu berpikir secara kreatif dan inovatif. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan usaha untuk menumbuhkan kemampuan berpikir kreatif matematis mahasiswa. Salah satu cara yaitu dengan pemberian soal open ended yang dipadukan dengan pembelajaran berbasis blended learning. Pembelajaran berbasis blended learning merupakan pembelajaran yang menggabungkan pembelajaran tradisional dan modern dengan memanfaatkan teknologi dalam proses pembelajarannya. Metode penelitian ini diarahkan sebagai penelitian pengembangan yang dikemukan oleh Tassmer meliputi tahap preliminary, prototyping, dan assessment. Populasi dari penelitian ini adalah seluruh mahasiswa Prodi Pendidikan Matematika FKIP UMB yang mengambil mata kuliah Pengantar Probabilitas sedangkan sampel penelitian ini adalaha mahasiswa semester II. Setelah melalui tahapan validasi oleh tim ahli maka penelitian ini menghasilkan bahan ajar berupa soal open ended yang dikemas dalam video pembelajaran yang valid. Oleh karena itu, berdasarkan dari masukkan dan saran dari validator maka bahan ajar tersebut layak untuk diujicobakan.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan menghasilkan Lembar Kerja Siswa (LKS) yang valid dan praktis untuk pembelajaran Contextual Teaching and Learning pada materi kubus dan balok; dan untuk untuk mengetahui efek potensialnya pada kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian pengembangan dengan model four-D, yaitu Define (pendefinisian), Design (perancangan), Develop (pengembangan), dan Desseminate (penyebaran). Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada semester genap tahun ajaran 2021/2022. Proses validasi dilakukan oleh 3 orang validator. Hasil telaah validator digunakan untuk merevisi Lembar Kerja Siswa. Analisis data validasi secara kualitatif dan kuantitatif menunjukkan Lembar Kerja Siswa yang dikembangkan valid. Selanjutnya Lembar Kerja Siswa disebarkan terbatas kapada 15 orang siswa SMP untuk diuji tingkat kepraktisannya. Data kepraktisan dikumpulkan dengan angket respon siswa. Diperoleh skor rata-rata kepraktisan sebesar 3,91 yang termasuk kategori praktis. Efek potensial LKS terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa telah terlihat dari hasil kerja siswa dalam LKS. Abstract

Permasalahan yang dihadapi oleh  masyarkat Kelurahan Timbul Rejo yaitu di Kelurahan Timbul Rejo tidak terdapat satu pun sekolah sebagai tempat pendidikan anak. Sehinggs anak Kelurahan Timbul Rejo menempuh pendidikan sekolah dasar di SD 73 Rejang lebong, Kelurahan Talang Rimbo Lama. Setelah melakukan wawancara dan observasi anak kelas VI di SD 73 Rejang lebong sebagai subjek kegiatan diketahui bahwa minimnya tingkat motivasi belajar matematika pada siswa dan minimnya tingkat pengetahuan tentang pentingnya belajar matematika dalam kehidupan. Salah satu program keilmuan yang dilaksanakan pada kegiatan KKN dan pengabdian masyarakat ini adalah Meningkatan Motivasi Belajar Melalui Edukasi Pentingnya Belajar Matematika dalam Kehidupan di Sekolah Dasa pada tanggal 14 September 2022, adapun kegiatan yang dilaksanakan sebagai berikut : 1). Observasi dan wawancara kepada kepala Kelurahan Timbul Rejo tentang keberadaan sekolah untuk mengetahui dimana anak Kelurahan Timbul Rejo menempuh pendidikan. 2). Observasi dan wawancara ke SD 73 Rejang Lebong yang dimana sebagai tempat anak Kelurahan Timbul Rejo menempuh pendidikan  yaitu bagaiamana minat siswa terhadap pelajaran matematika. matematika siswa. Hasil yang didapat : 1). Siswa dapat memahami tentang pentingnya belajar matematika dalam kehidupan. 2). Siswa dapat memahami kaitan konsep matematika dengan mata pelajaran lain dijenjang yang lebih tinggi. Kata Kunci: matematika,  minat belajar, motivasi

Abstract

The Community Service Program (PPM) which was carried out aims to assist SD Muhammadiyah 1 Bengkulu City in compiling an IASP 2020-based accreditation form. In 2022, reaccreditation will be carried out. Based on the results of interviews with school principals and teachers, the school accreditation preparation team did not fully understand the 2020 IASP, the deadline for preparation for accreditation in the near future, insufficient physical evidence, incomplete accreditation guidelines, schools did not have time to conduct self-evaluations and lack of coordination. and communication between individuals and teams. Based on this, it is necessary to carry out assistance activities in preparation for accreditation. The method used is discussion and question and answer. The subject of this community service is the team that composes the accreditation form for SD Muhammadiyah 1 Bengkulu City. This activity has been carried out for 4 meetings, which include the socialization of IASP 2020, filling out accreditation forms, presenting the results of filling out forms, and evaluating forms. During this service activity, all teams have carried out the form preparation activities well. The result of this service activity is that SD Muhammadiyah 1 Bengkulu City has completed all components of the accreditation form and met the internal quality standard values.

Abstract

SMP Negeri 7 Bengkulu City is one of the targets of the Campus Teaching Program Batch 5. This community service activity aims to demonstrate/utilize the M3 board teaching aid (Mean, Median, Mode) to 25 students of SMP Negeri 7 Bengkulu City, class VIII F. The method used is lectures and several group discussion activities. The results of this activity showed an increase in students' interest/motivation to learn numeracy by using the M3 board teaching aid (Mean, Median, Mode), as well as an increase in students' ability to solve questions related to the mean, median and mode. Thus, the use of M3 teaching aids (Mean, Median, Mode) is very important to be applied in the process of learning mathematics.

Abstract

This study aims to determine whether there are differences in students' ability to understand mathematical concepts taught using the Discovery Learning model, Cooperative Learning Type Team Assisted Individualization (TAI) model and the conventional model. This type of research was quasi-experimental. The population in this study was the class VIII SMP Negeri 11 Bengkulu City which consisted of six classes, namely class VIII B, VIII C, VIII D, VIII F, VIII G, and VIII H. Samples in this study were three homogeneous classes from six population classes that were randomly selected, namely class VIII B as the experimental class I which was treated with Discovery Learning model, class VIII C as the experimental class II which was treated with Cooperative Learning Type Team Assisted Individualization (TAI) model, and class VIII F as a control class using a conventional model. Based on the results of the research on the ability to understand concepts, shows that there are differences between the Discovery Learning model, the Cooperative Learning Type Team Assisted Individualization (TAI) model, and the conventional model. The post-test scores of the students revealed that the Discovery Learning model outperformed the Cooperative Learning Type Team Assisted Individualization (TAI) model and the conventional model.
