Abstract

This study analyzes the effect of Artificial Intelligence (AI) on talent management with competence as a mediating variable among students at SMK Negeri 1 Banda Aceh. The rapid development of AI technology influences talent management practices in vocational education. This research uses a quantitative approach with Structural Equation Modeling–Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) using SmartPLS 4. The sample consists of 150 students, selected using the Slovin formula. The results show that AI has a positive and significant effect on competence (beta = 0.658; T = 15.092; p-value < 0.05) and talent management (beta = 0.450; T = 7.199; p-value < 0.05). Competence also positively affects talent management (beta = 0.427; T = 7.151; p-value < 0.05). Furthermore, AI positively influences talent management through competence (beta = 0.281; T = 6.674; p-value < 0.05). These findings confirm that the use of AI improves competence and strengthens talent management in vocational education.

Abstract

This study aims to elaborate on the mediating effect of employee engagement on the performance of healthcare workers at the General Hospital of Sabang City. The research sample was taken from the employees of the General Hospital of Sabang City using the Slovin formula for sample calculation and a simple random sampling technique, resulting in 181 employees as the observed sample. The data analysis techniques used include path analysis, outer model analysis, inner model analysis, and hypothesis testing with the help of SmartPLS 4.1.0.5 software. Employee engagement has a significant positive relationship with employee performance. Happiness at work significantly influences employee engagement. Happiness at work does not have a significant impact on employee performance. Incentives have a significant positive relationship with employee engagement. Abstract

This study examines the seasonal trends of Precipitable Water Vapour (PWV) obtained from GNSS data (2021–2023) and decadal rainfall data from BMKG (2001–2020) in East and North Kalimantan, employing the Lomb–Scargle Periodogram (LSP) method. The findings indicate that PWV is mostly influenced by an equatorial semi-annual cycle (about 0.5 years), while precipitation typically adheres to a monsoonal annual pattern (around 1 year). The correlation between PWV and precipitation is not wholly linear, exhibiting significant local variability in coastal areas. The LSP approach is effective in identifying dominant frequencies, albeit it exhibits reduced sensitivity to non-stationary fluctuations in atmospheric signals.

Abstract

Entrepreneurial interest among university students is a strategic factor in driving economic growth and expanding job opportunities. However, not all students share a strong interest in entrepreneurship. One of the main reasons is the low level of motivation and self-efficacy. This study aims to examine the extent to which motivation and self-efficacy affect students’ entrepreneurial interest. The research method employed was a quantitative approach with an associative design to analyze the relationship between variables. The population consisted of all active undergraduate students of the Faculty of Economics, Muhammadiyah University of Aceh, enrolled in the Even Semester of the 2022 cohort, totaling 1,350 students. The sample was determined using Slovin’s formula, resulting in 93 respondents. They were selected randomly, or through incidental sampling, by inviting students willing to complete a Google Form and provide their WhatsApp numbers. The findings indicate that both motivation (X1) and self-efficacy (X2) have a positive and significant effect on entrepreneurial interest (Y), both partially and simultaneously.
