Abstract

This study investigates the relationship between adaptive leadership and organizational support and teachers’ ability to cope with curriculum changes at SDN 28 Pontianak Kota. Using a quantitative explanatory design, all 20 teachers were selected through saturated sampling. Data were collected with a Likert-scale questionnaire and analyzed using Partial Least Squares–Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) via SmartPLS by evaluating the measurement and structural models. The findings show that adaptive leadership has a positive but non-significant relationship with teachers’ ability to cope with curriculum changes (β = 0.312; t = 0.810; p = 0.419). Organizational support also shows a positive but non-significant relationship, with a stronger coefficient (β = 0.444; t = 1.156; p = 0.248). Together, both variables explain 51.8% of the variance in teachers’ ability (R² = 0.518). These results suggest that teachers’ readiness for curriculum change is shaped not only by individual factors but also by school leadership and organizational support. The study underscores the need for sustained support.

Abstract

This research aims to identify the types of figurative language most often used in Westlife-selected songs. The Research Design used in this research is Qualitative Research with content analysis of lyric scripts. This study analyzed the data by selecting eight Westlife songs, reading song lyrics, identifying figurative language, and then Analyzing the figurative language used in poetry. Perrine's (1983) theory is familiar to analyzing data related to types of figurative language. This research reveals that there is figurative language in each song lyric chosen and the figurative language used varies. The research results show that there are seven types of figurative language used in Westlife's Selected Song: metaphor, personification, hyperbole, simile, repetition, Symbol, and Metonymy the results show that the figurative language most often found in Westlife's Selected Song is Metaphor 40%. The conclusions of this study are figurative language is used to compare or explain something so that sentences become more alive, make sentences more meaningful and memorable, increase the attractiveness of literary works, and bring the writer and readers closer. Abstract

This research aims to determine students' perceptions of using TED Talks videos in learning vocabulary. This research is descriptive study, collected data by disturbing questionnaire to the Eight Semesters of the English Language Education Study Program, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Universitas Tanjungpura. Quantitative as research method and use questionnaire for tools of data collection. The questionnaire consists of five indicators, these indicators are categorized as perceived ease of use, usefulness, efficacy, compatibility and intention of use. Students show an excellent response in using TED Talks videos. This can be seen from the mean data the score shows medium category. Therefore, indicate that students positively view the ease of use of TED Talks Videos. Researchers found that students showed good responses and negative responses to TED Talks videos. Positive side regarding usefulness, efficacy, and compatibility. Meanwhile, the negative is related to they wanted more satisfaction with easy of use and intention of use.

Abstract

This study explores the moral values portrayed in the animated film Encanto. Using a qualitative approach and structural analysis based on Pavis (1998), the research examines key scenes and dialogues to identify the film’s underlying moral themes. Data were collected through close analysis of the movie’s script, focusing on character behavior and narrative structure. The findings show Encanto highlights several important moral values, including love, positivity, perseverance, resilience, and wisdom. These values are reflected through the characters’ personal struggles and family dynamics. The emotional intelligence demonstrated by the characters also presents opportunities for educators to teach emotional regulation and resilience in the classroom. As a result, Encanto can serve as an effective tool in moral education, helping students connect fictional experiences to real-life situations. This study encourages learners to reflect on ethical messages and apply them in their daily lives, contributing to their personal and social development

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis peran kepemimpinan transformasional kepala sekolah dalam peningkatan mutu pendidikan melalui penguatan kompetensi literasi dan numerasi di SMP Negeri 4 Teluk Pakedai. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan desain studi kasus. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara mendalam, observasi, dan studi dokumentasi yang melibatkan kepala sekolah, guru, siswa, tenaga kependidikan, komite sekolah, dan pengawas sekolah. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kepemimpinan transformasional kepala sekolah mampu menggerakkan seluruh warga sekolah dalam membangun budaya literasi dan numerasi secara berkelanjutan. Kepala sekolah memiliki visi yang jelas dan inspiratif, memberdayakan guru, serta mendorong pembelajaran yang kontekstual dan inovatif. Program literasi dan numerasi direncanakan, dilaksanakan, dimonitor, dan dievaluasi secara sistematis. Meskipun fasilitas masih terbatas, kepemimpinan yang visioner, kolaborasi warga sekolah, dan konsistensi pelaksanaan program berperan penting dalam menjaga capaian literasi dan numerasi siswa pada kategori baik hingga sangat baik.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis pengaruh supervisi klinis dan motivasi kerja terhadap kinerja guru di SMP Negeri 7 Kota Pontianak. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain korelasional dan analisis regresi linier. Sampel penelitian melibatkan 32 guru yang dipilih dengan teknik total sampling. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa supervisi klinis memiliki pengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kinerja guru dengan nilai korelasi r = 0,767 (p < 0,01) dan kontribusi R² = 0,588. Motivasi kerja juga berpengaruh positif terhadap kinerja guru dengan nilai r = 0,593 (p < 0,01) dan R² = 0,351. Secara simultan, supervisi klinis dan motivasi kerja berpengaruh signifikan terhadap kinerja guru (F = 23,613; p < 0,05) dengan kontribusi sebesar 62% (R² = 0,620). Supervisi klinis merupakan variabel paling dominan (β = 0,639). Temuan ini menunjukkan dan berimplikasi bahwa penerapan supervisi klinis yang terencana dan berkelanjutan, didukung oleh peningkatan motivasi kerja, berperan penting dalam meningkatkan kinerja guru secara optimal.
