Abstract

Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan membaca dini pada siswa Kelompok B TK Al-Hasaniyah NW Jenggik yang terdiri dari 18 siswa dengan menggunakan media permainan kartu Abaca. Penelitian bertujuan untuk: (a) mengetahui optimalisasi media permainan kartu Abaca dalam meningkatkan kemampuan membaca dini; (b) mengetahui proses penggunaan media permainan kartu Abaca dalam meningkatkan kemampuan membaca dini; dan (c) mengetahui kemampuan membaca dini melalui optimalisasi media permainankartu Abaca. Metode yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK) Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan observasi, wawancara, dokumentasi, dan catatan peneliti. Adapun analisis data pada PTK ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dan kualitatif. Metode kuantitatif digunakan untuk mengkalkulasi hasil kemampuan siswa dalam membaca sedangkan metode kualitatif digunakan untuk mendeskripsikan aktifitas yang dilakukan siswa di dalam kelas. Hasil temuan pada penelitian ini membuktikan adanya peningkatan membaca dini pada kelompok B TK AL-Hasaniah NW Jenggik Tahun Ajaran 2017/2018, hal ini berdasarkan hasil penelitian yang sudah dilakukan pada siklus I, II, dan III, diperoleh data bahwa ketercapaian indikator meningkat dari siklus 1 ke siklus III, yaitu dari 71% ke 75,3%. Juga penelitian ini menunjukan rata-rata kemampuan siswa mengalami peningkatan dari siklus I hingga siklus III. Siklus I  sebesar 69,1%  sedangkan siklus II mencapai 70,6 %,selanjutnya meningkat menjadi 75,2% pada siklus ke III. Dengan kata lain, optimalisasi penggunaan media permainan kartu Abaca dapat meningkatkan kemampuan siswa dalam membaca dini terbukti dan dapat diterima kebenarannya.

Abstract

This study aims to produce a learning media Dekak-Dekak Geometric to introduce geometric shapes in group A TK Islam Assa?adah NW Kelayu developmental. This development research used the Borg and Gall development model which is carried out in five stages, the needs analysis, the product development and analysis, the product revision, the field testing phase, and the final product revision. The results of this study indicate that the product developed, dekak-dekak geometry was suitable for learning process. Based on the results of the validation of media, dekak-dekak geometry categorized as "good" with a total score of 38 in the range of scores 37. 398 <X ? 46. 194. While the results of material expert validation got the category of "pretty good" with a total score of 30 in the range of 26.04 <X ? 33.96. Based on the results of field trials obtained data of students who get Very Good criteria as many as 9 people, students who get Good criteria as many as 5 people, students who get Enough criteria as many as 1 person, and students who get less criteria as many as 2 people. Student activity data shows that student learning activities are in the "active" category with an average score of 46.411. Based on the results of these studies it can be concluded that the media development products of Dekak-Dekak Geometric media to introduce geometric shapes in children are suitable for use in school learning

Abstract

Morphological errors occur when students made morphological aspect of grammar misinformed. The aims of the research to describe the morphological errors and to know the factors that affect students in their writing skill. This research employed descriptive qualitative method. The data was taken from 25 students asked the undergraduate students of the first semester of English Department Hamzanwadi University in making recount text based on their holiday experience and interviewed students to know their difficulties in it. In analyzing the data, the researchers used: identification error, classification error, and explanation error. The findings showed that the most students who made errors in inflectional morpheme consisting 18 (72%) students. It happened because they don’t realize in describing event happening in the past, the text should be in past tense. The second, 13 (52%) students did errors in free morpheme, it occurred because the first language structure is not like the target language, so students forgot to apply the auxiliaries in past form. Next, 6 (24%) students who made errors in compounding because teacher’s style in teaching English. The last, derivational errors made by 5 (20%) students. Based on interview result, they got difficulties in comprehending the structure target language its self and lectures’ teaching style was aspect why students still confuse in comprehending the materials. Hence, to solve these problems te students have to build writing habit in order they familiar with the morphological aspects then flow into the their writing.

Abstract

Educational and language philosophy compact between education and language philosophy. Education philosophy seeks the truth in education section. While, language philosophy is combination between linguistics and philosophy. Hence, language is as a vital medium in philosophyzing. The research was aimed to acertain the educational and language philosophy principle. This research used content analysis inferential. The data resource was ‘Basic English Handout’ for the first semester students of Early Childhood Education Program of Hamzanwadi University.  The data were collected by: data making, data reduction, inference, and analyzing the data. To ascertain valid and reliable data used semantic validation data and test-retest reliability. The researchers used analytical construct with qualitative conceptual domain in analyzing data. The results showed that educational and language philosophy principle on ‘Basic English Handout’ were: existentialism, reconstructionism, and humanism. Existentialism reffered to students’ activities on: committing oneself in learning concrete experience, dynamic, reflection observation, active experimentation, and creating thinking conceptualization. While, reconstructionism created students on: problem solving, focusing on transformation (direct participation), democracy, learning by doing, cooperation in learning and doing the exercises. Last, humanisme instructed students to: think inductively, explore  and   develop self-concept,  develop own experience and trials, actively participating, and dicipline in learning activities.

Abstract

The objective of the study is to ascertain the quality of the reading test items on English subject for the eighth students at SMPN 12 Tasikmalaya. Those items were analyzed based on difficulty level items, discrimination power, and distractor effectivity. This study employed descriptive quantitative. It is implemented to describe the quality of reading test item of eighth students of SMPN 12 Tasikmalaya. Whereas, quantitative data used as the data or information in the form of numerical data and analyzed it by using Item and Test Analysis (ITEMAN) program 3.0 version. The researchers had already conducted the study on reading in previous study, so in collecting the data, the researcher used the documentation. It used to know the quality of reading test items that had been made by the first researcher. The results showed that: 1) based on difficulty level of items indicated 14 (23%) items in easy, 32 (53%) items in medium, and 14 (23%) items in hard. Dealing to discrimination power of items, it showed that 51 (85%) items in very good, 5 (8%) in good, 0 (0%) in enough, and 4 (7%) in poor, must be discarded. Meanwhile, the distractor effectivity on reading test items on English subject of eighth students of SMPN 12 Tasikmalaya were: 44 (73%) items in function, 12 (420%) items in enough, 2 (7%) items in unfunctional, and 0 (0%) items in poor. Overall, the quality of reading test which had been made by the first researcher in previous study was in good quality.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine curriculum developers in determining curriculum objectives, learning outcomes, and aspects of the design of English study programs. This research uses the descriptive qualitative method. Data triangulation, observation, interviews, and documentation were used to collect data using a list of questions related to the curriculum and documentation. The result of this finding is that the English department curriculum is by the applicable standards in Indonesia. In designing the language curriculum, there is only one aspect that has not been applied as an indicator in its design, namely environmental analysis

Abstract

This research aims to describe the stages of learning in the concept of lifelong education, the role of education in lifelong education, building interest in digital literacy in learning, and realizing lifelong education through digital literacy skills. This research uses a qualitative descriptive method. The data used were the results of observations and interviews taken randomly in several primary and secondary schools in the East Lombok district. Data triangulation: observation, interviews, and documentation were used in data collection and data verification. The interactive model was used to analyze the data using data collection, data compaction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results of this study are that the stages of the concept of lifelong education do not only occur in formal environments but in informal and non-formal environments. The role of language education in lifelong education is that the more a person studies and learns a language well, the better the cultural principles that will be held. Building interest in digital literacy in language learning by getting used to reading in assignments using electronic equipment. Efforts to realize lifelong education through digital literacy skills by promoting learning independence among fellow community members as a parameter of sustainable social development.
