Abstract

  Higher education like ITB, is expected as a pioneer in the use of application in the era of information technology nowadays, including in the Islamic Religious Education program. Information technology can be applied in the teaching and learning instruction of Islamic Religious program, as it can be used by the lecturers to deliver Islamic moral values to ITB students. In the context of Islamic preaching in higher education, ICT can be used as a medium to convey Islamic Religious materials, and it practically contributes to the development of Islamic proselytization for ITB students. As the Islamic youths, university students can take apart as the agents of change in the development of human resources to face the challenge of globalization era including the fast growth of information technology and the opened-accessibility of ASEAN Economic Community (EAC). In this context, the role of technology is crucial in overcoming these rapid changes. This paper is particularly aimed at mapping the Islamic preaching for ITB students. From this notion, it can be noted that online-social media is effective for persuading Islamic values to students. By only one posted-article, it can reach and inspire thousands readers. Besides, it is considered more effective, because the use of social media is not restricted by the specific time and place.

Abstract

Kurikulum Pendidikan Agama Islam (PAI) yang diajarkan di Perguruan Tinggi Umum (PTU) meliputi ibadah dan muamalah. Dari sekian waktu yang diberikan dengan materi yang harus disampaikan masih jauh dari ketercapaian. Sehingga penguasaan materi PAI oleh mahasiswa dirasakan masih dangkal. Dengan dikembangkannya model pembelajaran skematik diharapakan dapat membantu mahasiswa untuk lebih menguasai, memahami dan mendalami materi PAI secara menyeluruh. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui konsep, penerapan, dan hasil yang dicapai dalam penerapan. model pembelajaran skematik mata kuliah PAI di PTU. Metode penelitian menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pedekatan deskriptif. Penerapan model pembelajaran ini dimaksudkan agar mahasiswa dengan cepat, mudah dan singkat dapat memahami materi yang akan disampaikan dosen. Sehingga tujuan pembelajaran dapat tercapai sesuai yang diharapakan dalam rencana pemebelajaran, yang meliputi ranah kognetif, afektif dan psikomotor.

Abstract

Pesantrens are often said to have received discriminatory treatment in Indonesian education politics, despite the fact that pesantrens have contributed positively to the development of education in Indonesia. But how is the Government's policy towards pesantren in Indonesia after Indonesia's independence? This article discusses this issue based on recent research results using a political (policy) and historical approach with descriptive methods. The technique of data collection is developed by documentation study on education policy in Indonesia, observation, as well as interviews. The study proves that the Government has dominated the policy towards pesantren where the pesantren policy is approved, accepted and implemented by government institutions. The research also concludes that since the inclusion of pesantren into By Law No. 20 Year 2003 on Indonesia’s National Education System, pesantren is in a vortex of attraction and interest between society and the Government. Pesantrens are treated discriminatively by the Government characterized by unclear implementation, regulation and budget allocation for these pesantrens. In essence, Pesantrens have not received the proper attention from the Government.Keywords: policy, education, pesantren, IndonesiaPesantren sering dikatakan mendapatkan perlakuan diskriminatif dalam politik pendidikan Indonesia, walaupun pesantren telah berkontribusi positif pada perkembangan pendidikan di Indonesia. Tapi bagaimanakah sebenarnya kebijakan Pemerintah terhadap pesantren di Indonesia setelah Indonesia merdeka? Artikel ini membahas isu ini berdasarkan hasil penelitian yang menggunakan pendekatan politik (kebijakan) dan sejarah dengan metode deskriptif. Teknik Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan studi dokumentasi terhadap kebijakan pendidikan di Indonesia, observasi, dan juga wawancara. Penelitian membuktikan bahwa Pemerintah telah mendominasi kebijakan terhadap pesantren di mana kebijakan pesantren disetujui, diterima dan dilaksanakan oleh pranata pemerintah. Penelitian menyimpulkan bahwa sejak dimasukkannya pesantren ke dalam Undang-Undang Nomor 20 Tahun 2003 tentang Sistem Pendidikan Nasional, maka pesantren berada dalam pusaran tarik menarik kepentingan antara masyarakat dengan Pemerintah. Pesantren diperlakukan diskriminatif oleh Pemerintah ditandai dengan ketidakjelasan implementasi, regulasi dan alokasi anggaran untuk pesantren. Intinya, Pesantren belum mendapatkan perhatian yang seharusnya dari Pemerintah.Kata Kunci: kebijakan, pendidikan, pesantren, Indonesia

Abstract

There have been advances achieved in modern medicine but traditional treatment methods using certain spiritual approached have become increasingly popular in many parts of the world. Certain Sufi practices, among others, is used in medical treatment to support the healing process. Based on a case study on the practice of Sufi therapy conducted by Akang Syamsudin in the Limbangan Garut area, West Java, Indonesia this article attempts to explore the conversion process and dynamics of the development of Sufi healing. Employing a qualitative approach and Miles and Huberman landscape approach, and supported with interviews, observations, and documentation the research finds that Syamsudin’s Sufi therapy method combines physical and spiritual principles. Syamsudin’s therapeutic approach is based on the following seven factors, are: 1) belief that every disease has a cure; 2) balance and moderation are directly proportional to physical health; 3) spiritual factors dominate over physical factors; 4) the importance of blood circulation; 5) the efficacy of positive suggestion; 6) belief and submission to God’s will; 7) the effectiveness of patience and consistency. The research implications open a new paradigm in the field of non-invasive treatments. This article suggests that modern medical treatment should be complemented with spiritual therapy in order to achieve more positive healing outcomes for patients.
