Abstract

Tourism development aims to increase local income. One example of tourism development is in Ungapan Beach, Malang Regency. The potential in Gedhangan District, Malang Regency has its uniqueness compared to other beaches in Malang Regency, therefore tourism development requires community participation. To further develop Ungapan beach tourism, the Malang Regency government also involves community participation. One of the things that the Malang Regency government has done is to involve and develop the UMKM sector. This is done to channel the spirit of regional potential-based tourism development to the people of Malang Regency. The role of the surrounding community in tourism development on Ungapan Beach is very good, this can be seen from the formation of Pokmas (Community Groups) of Ungapan Beach which actively manages Ungapan Beach tourism by upholding the aspect of accountability openness for the advancement of Ungapan Beach tourism. In addition, the community around Ungapan Beach has begun to improve their economy a lot by establishing businesses in Ungapan Beach tourism, one of which is the establishment of homestays by people whose homes are close to Ungapan Beach.

Abstract

Abstract The level of traffic accidents that occurs in Indonesia is relatively very high, so the World Health Organization has determined that traffic accidents are the third largest cause of death in Indonesia. Places that are prone to traffic accidents are scattered in areas in Indonesia, one of which is in Batu City. Batu City is a city located in East Java Province, which has a high traffic volume. This is due to the large number of road users who pass through the streets in Batu City, where the roads connect districts and cities. The large number of road users who pass through Batu City has an impact on road damage in Batu City, which has the potential to cause traffic accidents. The factors of the type of road surface and the condition of the damaged road are thought to affect the level of traffic accidents that occur. This study examines the relationship between the type of road surface and the condition of the damaged road with the level of traffic accidents in Batu City. The method used is literature study and the data utilized is secondary data. Data analysis was done using multiple linear regression method. This study shows that the type of road surface and damaged road conditions have a significant effect on the level of traffic accidents that occur in Batu City. Keywords: traffic accident; traffic; roads; road surface; damaged roads Abstrak Tingkat kecelakaan lalu lintas yang terjadi di Indonesia relatif sangat tinggi, sehingga World Health Organization menetapkan bahwa kecelakaan lalu lintas menjadi penyebab kematian terbesar urutan ketiga di Indonesia. Tempat-tempat yang rawan kecelakaan lalu lintas tersebar di daerah-daerah di Indonesia, yang salah satunya adalah di Kota Batu. Kota Batu merupakan sebuah kota yang terletak di Provinsi Jawa Timur, yang mempunyai volume lalu lintas yang tinggi. Hal ini disebabkan karena banyaknya pengguna jalan yang melewati jalan-jalan di Kota Batu, yang mana jalan-jalan tersebut menghubungkan antarkabupaten dan antarkota. Banyaknya pengguna jalan yang melewati Kota Batu berdampak pada rusaknya jalan di Kota Batu, yang berpotensi menyebabkan kecelakaan lalu lintas. Faktor-faktor jenis permukaan jalan dan kondisi jalan yang rusak diduga memengaruhi tingkat kecelakaan lalu lintas yang terjadi. Pada studi ini dikaji hubungan antara jenis permukaan jalan dan kondisi jalan yang rusak dengan tingkat kecelakaan lalu lintas di Kota Batu. Metode yang digunakan adalah studi literatur dan data yang digunakan adalah data sekunder. Analisis data dikerjakan dengan menggunakan metode regresi linier berganda. Studi ini menunjukkan bahwa jenis permu-kaan jalan dan kondisi jalan yang rusak berpengaruh signifikan terhadap tingkat kecelakaan lalu lintas yang terjadi di Kota Batu. Abstract

This research is purposely to discover the influence of inquiry learning model with assistance of podcast based learning media in increasing the awareness and environmental care for geography students. Additionally, this research is done to know the difference of student activity between the class that uses inquiry learning model assisted by podcast and the class that uses conventional learning model. This research uses quasi-experimental design. The data was collected using awareness and environment care in pretest and posttest in experiment and control classes. The selected population is students of Muhammadiyah 2 Genteng High School Banyuwangi of 2021/2022 school year in social studies faculty. Experiment group originated from XI IIS class and control group originated from XI 2 IIS class with 60 students in number. Data was analyzed using ANCOVA with SPSS 25 version software for Windows. Results of this research proved that inquiry learning model with assistance of podcast has significant influence towards shifting of awareness and environment care of geography students. The student activities in experiment class is more active in comparison to those in control class.
