Abstract

ABSTRACT This study aims to determine the correlation between junior high school (SMP) student academic achievement in terms of academic self-concept and emotional intelligence. The hypothesis of this study is that there is a positive correlation between academic self-concept and emotional intelligence with the academic achievement of junior high school students. Subjects in this study amounted to 193 class students, data collection was carried out using two scales, the academic self-concept scale and emotional intelligence scale and for academic achievement in the form of documentation of students' final semester scores. Data analysis using multiple regression analysis techniques. The results showed that there is: a very significant relationship between academic self-concept and emotional intelligence with academic achievement.

Abstract

pesantren memiliki peran yang sangat besar sebagai lembaga pendidikan Islam dalam masyarakat, yang bertujuan mendidik santri dan masyarakat menjadi manusia yang paham akan ajaran Islam serta konsisten dengan pengamalannya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui metode dan partisipasi pesantren Madinatuddiniyah Babussa’adah dalam membina masyarakat desa Teupin Gajah menjadi masyarakat yang Islami serta mampu mengamalkan ajaran Islam dengan baik. Untuk mencapai hal tersebut, maka dalam penelitian ini penulis mengunakan metode deskriptis analisis yaitu metode pembahasan yang bersifat pencatatan, penafsiran, penguraian dan penganalisaan terhadap data-data yang terkumpul. teknik pengumpulan data terdiri dari observasi, wawancara, mengedarkan angket, dan dokumentasi, yang berguna untuk mendapatkan data di lapangan. Selanjutnya data tersebut dianalisa dengan menggunakan rumus persen dan hasilnya menunjukkan bahwa Pesantren Madinah Tuddiniyah Babussa’adah sudah memainkan peranannya dengan sangat baik dan menggunakan metode yang sangat tepat dalam membina pendidikan masyarakat Desa Teupin Gajah dengan menyelenggarakan kegiatan pengajian kitab-kitab fiqh yang dilaksanakan dua kali dalam semiggu serta turut berpatisipasi dalam setiap kegiatan sosial keagamaan dan kemasyarakatan seperti walimatul ’urusy, tajhiz mayat, penyelesaian konflik dalam masyarakat, faraidh dan lain-lain.

Abstract

Academic stress is a significant issue experienced by students at various levels of education. Academic stress can have a negative impact on students' well-being and their academic performance. Individual counseling has been recognized as an effective approach in helping students cope with academic stress. Therefore, this desk research aims to analyze, synthesize, and evaluate relevant sources on individual counseling strategies to address academic stress in university students. The desk research method was conducted by collecting relevant literature sources through academic databases, scientific journals, and books related to the research topic. The selected sources must have good methodological strength and be relevant to individual counseling strategies to overcome academic stress in college students. Afterwards, the sources were critically analyzed to identify the main findings and successful individual counseling strategies in reducing academic stress in university students. The results of the analysis and synthesis of the literature sources show that there are several individual counseling strategies that are effective in addressing academic stress in university students. These strategies include relaxation techniques, time management, study skills development, social support, self-regulation, and adaptive mindset development. Previous research has also shown that individual counseling conducted by trained and experienced counselors has a positive impact in reducing academic stress and improving student well-being. This study has important implications for counseling practitioners and researchers in the field of education. By understanding effective individual counseling strategies, counseling practitioners can develop appropriate and scalable interventions to help college students cope with academic stress. In addition, this study also identified research gaps that could be an opportunity for further research in this area.

Abstract

Menabung belum menjadi kebiasaan bagi sebagian besar masyarakat Indonesia. Padahal, tabungan menjadi salah satu instrumen kontribusi masyarakat pada pembangunan negara. Sebagai salah satu bentuk menabung yang lahir dari tren frugal living, sinking fund adalah kegiatan menabung dengan target nominal atau dalam jangka waktu dan untuk tujuan yang tidak mendesak. Seseorang harus membuat keputusan untuk menabung dan melakukan konsumsi. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk menggali informasi terkait motif dan dinamika pengambilan keputusan menabung dalam sinking fund. Pendekatan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode studi kasus. Sumber data yang digunakan adalah partisipan penelitian, informan cross-check, dan dokumen. Pemilihan partisipan menggunakan prosedur purposive sampling. Data diperoleh dari wawancara mendalam, observasi langsung, dan dokumentasi. Setelah data terkumpul, peneliti menganalisisnya dengan cara mengklasifikasi, mengorganisasi, mengkombinasi, dan membuat tabulasi data menjadi unit-unit yang dapat dikelola. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, terdapat tiga motif yang mendasari partisipan untuk melakukan sinking fund, yakni tujuan membeli atau membiayai sesuatu, antisipasi atau jaga-jaga, atau sekedar ikut-ikutan dan hasilnya bermanfaat untuk partisipan. Sementara pada proses pengambilan keputusannya cenderung mengalami tahapan yang sama mulai dari adanya pilihan, mempertimbangkan pilihan, memutuskan, dan melaksanakan keputusan. Ada dua hal yang diingat oleh partisipan saat proses pengambilan keputusan, yakni sebuah pengalaman terbaik dan terburuk terkait sinking fund. Hal tersebut menjadi dasar pengambilan keputusan.

Abstract

Indonesia, a country with a rich cultural tapestry, is not immune to the challenges posed by cultural conflicts. These conflicts are often rooted in historical tensions between tribes and religions, which continue to manifest in the form of respect, mutual respect, and the acceptance of differences. A solution is required to cultivate an attitude of religious moderation as a way of life in order to maintain harmony by upholding the pillars of justice, balance and tolerance. These pillars were initiated by Quriash Shihab using qualitative methods. It was found that the pillar of religious moderation has relevance to the traditions of the Tana Toraja people in the Rambu Solo event. The funeral tradition of Rambu Solo teaches about unity and social balance between people in ceremonial traditions, justice between followers of one religion and tolerance between adherents of Christianity as the majority and Islam as a minority religion.
