Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of remuneration with job evaluation point method and to discover its impact toward salary satisfaction of employees in Small and Medium scale Enterprise (SME). This research is a case study involving SME level employees in the field of food and beverage preparation who received remuneration with job evaluation point method. The methods for data collection used in this research were observation, interview, and questionnaires. The measurement scale used was the Pay Satisfaction Questionnaire. This research was an experimental action research with the randomized pretest–posttest control group design. The Mann–Whitney and Friedman tests were applied for conducting data analysis. The study argues that the application of remuneration by using job evaluation point method can increase the satisfaction of SME employees, reduce the level of turnover, and increase work commitment of employees. The results of the data analysis showed that the hypothesis was accepted; there was an improvement in salary satisfaction of experimental group who received remuneration with a significance value of p0.005.

Abstract

Tujuan dilakukannya penelitian ini adalah untuk menguji apakah ada hubungan antara pengetahuan poligami dalam Islam dengan sikap terhadap poligami pada wanita muslim. Hipotesis awal yang diajukan dalam penelitian ini adalah ada hubungan yang positif antara pengetahuan poligami dalam Islam dengan sikap terhadap poligami pada wanita muslim.Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah wanita yang berstatus menikah dan belum menikah dengan rentang usia 18-40 tahun sejumlah 102 orang. Untuk mendapatkan data, peneliti mengembangkan alat ukur pengetahuan tentang poligama dalam Islam dan skala sikap terhadap poligami yang kemudian digunakan setelah melalui uji coba. Pada pengambilan data, peneliti mendatangi kos putri, dan majlis pengajian di wilayah utara Yogyakarta. Metode analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis korelasi product moment. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya hubungan yang sangat signifikan dengan rxy =0,241 p=0,007 atau p < 0.01, sehingga hipotesis diterima.Dilakukan analisis terhadap hipotesis, dilakukan pula analisis tambahan untuk mengetahui apakah ada hubungan antara tingkat pendidikan dengan pengetahuan tentang poligami dalam Islam yang dimiliki subjek dan apakah ada perbedaan sikap terhadap poligami jika dilihat dari status menikah dan belum menikah. Dari analisis data didapatkan hasil bahwa tidak ada hubungan antara tingkat pendidikan dengan pengetahuan poligami dalam Islam yang dimiliki subjek dan tidak ada perbedaan sikap terhadap poligami pada wanita muslim yang sudah menikah dan belum menikah. Selanjutnya analisis tambahan juga dilakukan untuk mencari apakah ada perbedaan sikap terhadap poligami jika dilihat berdasar item-item yang bersifat personal, maupun item yang lebih merujuk pada orang lain. Implikasi dan aplikasi penelitian ini didiskusikan.Kata kunci : Pengetahuan poligami dalam Islam, sikap terhadap poligami, wanita muslim

Abstract

Political participation is the activity of private citizens for the purpose of influencing government decision making. Gender role is defined as behavioral predisposition of a person as relates to his/her gender. Gender role can be grouped into feminine, masculine and androgyny and unclassified. This study is aimed at finding relationship between gender role and political participation among college female activists. The subjects of this study were female students  from various university in Yogyakarta, with age ranging from 18-28 years. Gender role was mesured by using gender role scale, modelling one from Bem Sex Role Inventory. Political participation was mesured using polical participation scale which shows the following indicators: voting activity, organizational participation, political discussion, lobbying and finding connection. The data was analyzed by one way ANOVA. The results indicated that  there is no differences in political participation as seen from four different gender roles(F = 1,273; P > 0,05). Abstract

The issue on  Indonesia's Education has mostly been looked upon from quantitative point of view. Many report on  human resources  develop­ ment, especially  through the  educational agents, relied their analysis on  educational development quantitatively. Later in this writing,  I refer this orientation as  quantity oriented education.  As an  agent of people development, quantity orientation in  education is facing a critical point regarding its ability to prepare human resources for a new era  of Inter­national competition.

Abstract

Tulisan ini bermaksud mendiskusikan tentang bagaimana dalam perubahan dunia yang terus menerus organisasi tetap adaptik dan pada saat yang sama terjaga budayanya. Menurut penulis, budaya dan belajar ini memang seringkali dianggap sebagai berada di dua ujung garis. Budaya di satu sisi merupakan stabilisasi, penyatu, kekuatan penjaga pembentuk identitas, serta merupakan tatanan yang membuat hal-hal di dalamnya menjadi terduga dengan baik (predictable). Disisi lain, tuntutan perubahan membuat anggota dari sebuah organisasi atau budaya itu harus terus menerus belajar (menjadi perpetual learner) yang seringkali memerlukan pelepasan diri dari apa yang sudah ada, melepaskan diri dari asumsi dasar atau paradigma lama yang telah dimiliki, mengambil jarak dari budaya yang telah dimiliki. Dari sini, ada semacam kekhawatiran bahwa menguatnya mental model atau budaya itu akan menghambat terjadinya pembelajaran itu. Penulis percaya bahwa adalah mungkin diciptakan sebuah kultur organisasi yang di dalam dirinya terdapat ciri-ciri pembelajaran, adaptif, inovatif dan seterusnya.  Kata Kunci    :   Budaya pembelajar, pemimpin pembelajar, organisasi.

Abstract

There are several problems which threaten Small to Medium Businesses (Usaha Kecil Menengah - UKM) in the City of Makassar, South Sulawesi, Indonesia: the low quality of the managerial abilities of owners of UKM, the rapid growth of modern retail shops, and the rise in the amount of better quality technological products entering the city. The goal of this research was to construct a model of the development of managerial effectiveness, using a competency concept, based upon 12 levels of behaviour and 10 types of managerial roles. The research method used was action research, in the form of the implementation of managerial leadership training. This research also developed an indicator of managerial leadership behaviors, by compiling a matrix based upon managerial roles and leadership behaviours. Eight owners of UKM in Makassar were participants in the research. The results of the study, in general, indicated an increase in the levels of managerial leadership of the participants who received the training. The impact of an increase in competence and effectiveness of managerial leadership could cause UKM owners enjoy an increase in competitiveness, in the managing of their enterprises. Terdapat beberapa permasalahan yang menjadi ancaman dihadapi Usaha Kecil Menengah (UKM) di kota Makassar yaitu rendahnya kualitas kemampuan pemilik UKM, pertumbuhan toko ritel modern yang pesat, dan meningkatnya produk yang masuk ke Kota Makassar dengan kualitas teknologi yang lebih baik. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah membuat sebuah model pengembangan efektivitas kepemimpinan dengan menggunakan konsep kompetensi berdasarkan 12 tingkat perilaku kepemimpinan dan 10 jenis peran manajerial. Metode penelitian ini adalah action research berupa implementasi pelatihan kepemimpinan manajerial. Penelitian ini juga mengembangkan sebuah indikator perilaku kepemimpinan manajerial dengan menyusun matriks berdasarkan peran manajerial dan perilaku kepemimpinan. Delapan orang pemilik UKM di Kota Makassar menjadi partisipan penelitian. Hasil studi secara umum menunjukkan adanya peningkatan level kepemimpinan manajerial pada partisipan yang menerima pelatihan. Dampak peningkatan kompetensi efektivitas kepemimpinan manajerial dapat membuat para pemilik UKM memiliki peningkatan daya saing dalam mengelola usahanya.

Abstract

Youth violence in the family is still rampant. This phenomenon is detrimental in the long term to the personal development of adolescents, because of its impact on the emotional aspect. Meanwhile, authority figures in the family do not realize that certain treatments are classified as emotional abuse. This study uses a qualitative approach, with a descriptive study. The research participants were three teenagers, namely two girls and one boy. The three participants are domiciled in the Province of the Special Region of Yogyakarta and are currently experiencing violence from particularly family authority figures. The data collection process was carried out by semi-structured interviews and observations. The results of the study found that emotional abuse can occur in the form of physical, verbal, threats, coercion, and excessive demands. However, in essence, this treatment has implications for emotional aspects (fear and indications of anxiety), which then have an impact on cognitive and avoidance behavior. To overcome these emotional problems, participants perform coping mechanisms through useful activities, which including aspects of affiliation, organization, hobbies, and religious activities (prayer, dhikr, and reading the Qur'an). On the other hand, these coping broadens the participants' horizons in viewing violent events, so that a more positive perception is obtained. In the end, participants indicated the direction of development towards resilience. Kekerasan remaja dalam keluarga masih marak terjadi. Fenomena ini merugikan secara jangka panjang bagi perkembangan diri-pribadi remaja, karena dampaknya yang memengaruhi aspek emosional. Sementara itu, figur otoritas dalam keluarga, tidak menyadari bahwa perlakuan tertentu tergolong kekerasan emosional. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif, dengan studi deskriptif. Partisipan penelitian merupakan tiga remaja, yaitu dua remaja perempuan dan satu remaja laki-laki. Ketiga partisipan berdomisili di Provinsi Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta dan tengah mengalami kekerasan dari khususnya figur otoritas keluarga. Proses pengambilan data dilakukan dengan interview semi-terstruktur dan observasi. Hasil penelitian menemukan bahwa kekerasan emosional dapat terjadi dalam bentuk fisik, verbal, ancaman, pemaksaan kehendak, serta tuntutan yang berlebihan. Namun, pada intinya, perlakuan tersebut berimplikasi terhadap aspek emosi (ketakutan dan indikasi kecemasan), yang kemudian berdampak pada kognitif dan adanya perilaku menghindar. Untuk mengatasi masalah emosi tersebut, partisipan melakukan mekanisme koping melalui kegiatan bermanfaat, yang meliputi aspek afiliasi, organisasi, hobi, dan aktivitas religius (salat, berzikir, dan membaca Al-Qur’an). Di sisi lain, koping tersebut memperluas cakrawala partisipan dalam memandang peristiwa kekerasan, sehingga diperoleh persepsi yang lebih positif. Pada akhirnya, partisipan menunjukkan arah perkembangan menuju resiliensi.

Abstract

This reserach examined the effect of Odoo Human Capital Training (OHCT) to improve ERP-Efficacy of psychology students. The reasearch is an intervention to improve efficacy about ERP softwares. This research used classroom action research (CAR) method of quasi experimental type with nonequivalent control group with pretest and posttest design. The participants were 35 students, with 18 students assigned to experimental group and 17 students to control group. The experimental group was trained for 4-5 hours each day within two days. The ERP-Efficacy was mesured by the ERP-Efficacy Questionnaire (ERPEQ) using 3 aspect from Compeau dan Higgins (1995). The aspect are ERP magnitude, ERP strength, and ERP generalizability. The data were analyzed by using anava mixed design. The result showed there was a significant difference of ERP-Efficacy between experimental and control group for pretest, posttest and follow up observations, with a value of F (37.25) and p (0.000). These hypothesis of this research that the effect of OHCT can improve the ERP-Efficacy among psychology students were accepted.

Abstract

Research and development of organizational performance theory has been done since the 1950s and it is found that one of the important factors that determine the performance of employees is the perception of  organizational support. Performance refers to the extent of the contribution given by the employees to an organization; meanwhile, the perception of  organizational support is an individual assessment on the availability of help from organization to support the duty implementation to make it run effectively and to help the individuals in facing any stressful situations. This study examined the consistency of the correlation between the perception of organizational support and employee performance by correcting the sampling errors using the meta-analysis technique. The quantitative review used 26 studies obtained by accessing online articles with inclusion criteria (1) primary study with the independent variable is perception of organizational support or organizational support and the dependent variable is employee performance with a time span of 2010-2020 (2) containing statistical values of N, r, t or F (4) samples are employees in Indonesia.The exclusion criteria imposed included: (1) the year of the articles should be before 2010 (2) Access for  full articles  were not available so that  tracing the method used  in the study was not possible (3) Methodological weakness  was identified which become the reason why the  research result was not significant. The results of the meta-analysis study with a sample of 2,460 respondents showed that perceived organizational support was positively and significantly correlated with employees’ performance with a correlation coefficient of .364 and with the confidence level of 95%.
