Abstract

Ability Reading Comprehension Seventh Grade Students of SMP Negeri 1 Sasak Ranah Pasisie West Pasaman Regency with Questions Answering. This research is quantitative descriptive method. The study population was all students in class VII SMP Negeri 1 Sasak Ranah Pasisie by the number of students 141 people. Sample this reseach was 30 people on the number of students, is the class VII2, because it represents a sample taken using purposive sampling technique. The instrument used is objective test with answer technical questions.Based on the data analysis and discussion described in chapter IV some conclusions can be drawn, namely: (1) reading comprehension class VII student of SMP Negeri 1 Sasak Ranah Pasisie West Pasaman with the technical of questions answering for the content of reading comprehension indicators classified as More Than Enough (LDC) with a mean of 74.5 rounded to 74 contained in the range of 65-75 %. (2) reading comprehension class VII student of SMP Negeri 1 Sasak Ranah Pasisie West Pasaman with the technical the questions answering for appropriateness indicator reading the contents classified as Good (B) with a mean of 79.6 rounded to 79 contained in the range of 76-85 %. (3) the ability of reading comprehension class VII student of SMP Negeri 1 Sasak Ranah Pasisie West Pasaman with the technical of answering questions for both indicators classified as Good (B) with a mean of 77 contained in the range of 76-85 %.Relevant to this, the researchers put forward several suggestions, which are as follows: First, that students of class VII SMP Negeri 1 Sasak Ranah Pasisie more reading so that it can increase knowledge. Second, in order to subject teachers Indonesian language and literature at SMP Negeri 1 Sasak Ranah Pasisie further improve the learning techniques of variation in reading comprehension.

Abstract

The background of this research there are three things: First, lack of interest and attention of students to read poetry with attention to elements of poetry readings. Second, students understand and appreciate the difficulty of reading poetry. Third, no teachers using media, such as videos of poetry readings. This study aims to describe the ability to read poetry class VII student of Junior High School Negeri 2 Lembah Gumanti Kabupaten Solok.This research is quantitative and qualitative descriptive method. The study population was all students in class VII Junior High School Negeri 2 Lembah Gumanti Kabupaten Solok., totaling 185 students. The sample was numbered VII B class (30 students). Sampling technique, which aims sample (purposive sample). This research instrument is the use of performance tests conducted by a choice of three poetry titles that have been previously determined .Based on the analysis of data, it can be seen that a qualifying acquisition of the average value of the ability to read poetry class VII B Junior High School Negeri 2 Lembah Gumanti Kabupaten Solok, viewed from the aspect of rhythm is more than enough qualifications to the acquisition value of the average 72 %, judging from aspect of the volume is in good qualification with an average acquisition value of 87 %. Aspect of this volume include the category obtained the highest level of mastery students. An examination of the expression is the value of qualified enough to gain an average of 57 % and kinesik seen from the aspect of the content of the poem is in accordance with the qualifying acquisition is less with an average value of 43 %. Generally located on more than enough qualifications to the acquisition of the average value of 2.075/30 = 69 % with a range ( 66-75 %).Therefore, it is expected to Indonesian language and literature teachers to improve their learning and reading poetry teacher should use instructional media when reading poetry, such as video displays poetry readings , in order to motivate students to read. Students are also expected to continue to practice reading poetry, so the ability to read a poem using rhythm, volume, expression, and kinesik is in perfect qualifications.

Abstract

This research is motivated by three reasons, first, the students listened to lack of concentration in the material submitted by teachers. Second, students’ listening ability has not been optimal. Third, the lack of media in teaching listening. This study aimed to determine the ability of listening to the news using audio-visual media eighth grade students of SMP Negeri 1 Pancung Soal Kabupaten Pesisir Selatan. This research is quantitative research using descriptive methods. The population in this study is the eighth grade students of SMP Negeri 1 Pancung Soal Kabupaten Pesisir Selatan, amounting  to132 people. Samples taken in this study amounted to 34 people. Samping technique proportionate stratified random sampling. The instrument used is a matter of objective test sheets given to students with four alternative answers.Based on the data analysis of the research that has been done that, the ability to listen to news eighth grade students of SMP Negeri 1 Pancung Soal Kabupaten Pesisir Selatan problem with news items why the highest score by an average of 85% which is in good qualification. The ability to listen to what news items (anything) with an average value of 80% which is in qualification. The ability to listen to the news element how with an average value of 81 % which is in good qualification. The ability to listen to the news element who with an average value of 81 % which is in good qualification. The ability to listen to students’ news items where with an average value of 79 % which is in good qualification. This ability to listen to students when the news element with an average value of 78 % which is in good qualification. In general it can be concluded students of SMP Negeri 1 Pancung Soal Kabupaten Pesisir Selatan motivated to listen to the news using audio-visual media. The ability to listen to news student of SMP Negeri 1 Pancung Soal Kabupaten Pesisir Selatan in general are seen in both qualifying with an average value of 79 % above the minimum completeness criteria (KKM).

Abstract

Background of this research is how the ability to write short stories grade 10 Semen Padang senior high school students using modeling techniques. The problem posed by the following research question : how the ability to write short stories grade 10 Semen Padang senior high school students  in terms of characterizations , events and background on stories . This research aims to determine the ability to write short stories grade 10 Semen Padang senior high school students using modeling techniques. This type of research is descriptive quantitative method. I have chosen research sites in Semen Padang senior high school. Data were collected by using the performance tests in writing short stories. Outcomes studied were rated based formula has been set and the results in total.  Analyzed using five levels, namely excellent, good, enough, less, and less so. As for the informants in this study consists of the principal , vice-principal , a part of the curriculum , 3 teachers  of Indonesian, and 34 people of all grade 10 Semen Padang senior high school students, through a modeling technique like RPP, observation and interview . Data were tested using student test performance, the data were analyzed with the modeling technique consists of collecting data and drawing conclusions. Based on the results of data analysis showed that the ability to write short stories grade 10 Semen Padang high school students by using modeling techniques in terms of characterizations, events, and background are on average 70% in the range of 66-755. The conclusion that can be drawn in this research is that the ability to write short stories grade 10 Semen Padang high school students by using the modeling techniques are more than enough qualifications. From the conclusions obtained, it is suggested that the teacher Indonesian and Indonesian Literature in Semen Padang senior high school to further enhance the students ability to write a short story with emphasis on providing training.

Abstract

Background of this research are (1) the students’ are less interesting in reading, (2) the students’ are less creative in reading another texts, (3) the students have not prior knowledge about the fact and opinion, (4) the technique that the teacher used in reading are not interesting. The purpose of this research is describing the students’ ability to determine the fact and opinion in Editorial by using Inquiry technique at Eleventh grade of Senior High School 1 Sungai Rumbai, Dharmasraya. The design of this research is Descriptive Quantitative Research, where the research have to use numbering within collecting the data, analysing the data and the result of the data. The expected result of this research are (1) the students’ are able to determine the fact and opinion in Editorial by using Inquiry technique in qualification more than ‘enough’ (73,55) with a value stretch 66-75%. (2) the students’ are able to determine the fact and opinion by using Inquiry technique in ‘good’ qualification (85-79) with a value stretch 76-85%. (3) the students’ are able to determine the fact and opinion in Editorial by using Inquiry technique at eleventh grade of Senior High School 1 Sungai Rumbai, Dharmasraya in ‘good’ qualification (82-55) with a value stretch 76-85%.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the students self-confidence yet to respond to the reading of short stories , teachers tend to use the lecture method. The purpose of the study to describe the ability to respond to the reading of short stories class VII students of SMP Negeri 3 Linggo Sari Baganti using audiovisual media . Type a descriptive quantitative research methods. The study population was a class VII student of SMP Negeri 3 Linggo Sari Baganti.Teknik sampling Purposional Random Sampling. Instrumen is test.  Research data analysis,, it was concluded that the ability to respond to reading short stories class VII students of SMP Negeri 3 Linggo Sari Baganti using audio media visual more than enough with an average 77.77 % of students. Responsiveness to reading short stories class VII students of SMP Negeri 3 Linggo Sari Baganti using audio-visual media indicator 1 (pronunciation) is more than adequate with an average 73.33 %, indicator 2 (intonation) is more than adequate with an average 75.55 %, indicator 3 (expression) is the average of 57.77 % .Indicator 4 (attitude) is quite good with an average of 84.44%, indicator 5 (content short stories) splendidly with 94.44 % average rats.

Abstract

The background of the problem of this research is there is studenst’ problem VII grade at SMPN 3 Gunung tuleh west pasaman distric in listening. The students of SMP N 3 Gunung Tuleh fell difficult in listening, especially in listening to the interview which was read by the teacher. The purpose of this research to determine the listening skill of interviewing students of VII grade of SMP N 3 Gunung Tuleh west Pasaman through audio media figures on aspects of identity, leader opinion, the background of interview, the purpose of the interview and the content of the interview. The type of this research is a quantitative research that using descriptive method. The instrument used in this research is an essay test. Based on the analysis of data and disscussion of the result of the research concluded as follows: (1) listening skill through audio media interview students in listening figur identify obtain an average value of 7,4 more than enough qualitifications (LDC), (2) Student listening skill through audio media interview in listening to the leaders opinion an average value 5,4 with nearly qualified enaugh (HC), (3) Listening skill interview students thorough audio media interview in the background listening obtain an average value of 7,5 with more than enough qualifications (LDC), (4) Listening skill through students interview though audio media in listening the purpose of interview to get  scored on average 6,7 with sufficient qualifications (C), and (5) Listening skill through audio media interview in listening to the content of the interview obtain an average value of 5,8 with a nearly qualified enough (HC). In generally, listening skill in VII grade at SMP N 3 Gunung tuleh districts of west pasaman through audio media relatively more than enough (LDC) with an average value of the average 71,07.

Abstract

Penyaji berita televisi adalah orang terdepan dalam penampilan di televisi. Tugas mereka adalah memandu talk show dalam satu topik acara dengan narasumber dan bisa saja ada beberapa orang audiens serta memandu reporter di lapangan dari studio. Penyaji berita televisi dituntut kemampuannnya menggunakan bahasa jurnalistik dalam mengolah isi berita agar ringkas, singkat, padat, tertib,  dan jelas sesuai dengan kaidah bahasa jurnalistik. Kemampuan penyaji berita televisi dalam membahas setiap persoalan harus dapat dimengerti dengan mudah diterima oleh semua kalangan yang menontonnya. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui tingkat kemampuan penggunaan bahasa jurnalistik penyaji berita. Penelitian menggunakan karakteristik bahasa jurnalistik menurut John Hohenberg dalam (Anwar 2004:3) yang terdiri dari lima bagian, yaitu:  ringkas, singkat, jelas, tertib, dan menarik. Subjek penelitian adalah lembaga penyiaran televisi lokal di Padang TV dengan  program siaran “Sumbar Rancak Bana” yang dipandu penyaji berita. Hasil penelitian berupa paparan tentang wujud kemampuan penggunaan bahasa jurnalistik penyaji berita.Kata kunci: bahasa jurnalistik, penyaji berita televisi, dan lembaga penyiaran televisi
