Abstract

Backpack is one of the most attractive bag because of its excellence in the load management.Based on customer’s need identification, there were several primary dan secondary needs. Backpackdesign then was following the rules of product design with attention to ergonomic and financialaspects. Products were designed and developed, made a prototype and tested over a period of timeon the user. Results feedback during implementation include aspects of shapes, sizes, features anddesign.

Abstract

Backpack is one of the most attractive bag because of its excellence in the load management.Preliminary research conducted in the productive age segment (17-40 years) respondents showed thatthe majority (53 percent) were dissatisfied with the existing backpack. Then narrowed the marketshare in the segment of students and white collar worker who required high mobility. Customeridentification was conducted by several questionnaires. There were 6 primary needs and 21 targetspecification which connected on needs metric matrix.

Abstract

Production target of Department Hand Inserts PT Sharp Indonesia which was often not achieved, making the company intended to know the cause of the problem. Time study was needed to set production targets against operator’s ability. Time study established by the holding company of Japan using ready work factors (RWF) method. To determine conformity RWF method, a comparison with stopwatch time study was conducted. There were differences in the value of standard time with both methods. The differences due to value of rating operator performance and allowance. The value in RWF method was smaller than the findings in the field. After a change of both value the difference between the two methods became smaller. After that with standard time from RWF method was calculated operator's ability to produce. The results indicated that the ability of the operator under the production target, so improvement was needed.

Abstract

Abstract With changes in technology and the increasing internationalization of manufacturing, production has become the main approach for benefiting from globalization and being able to bridge income gaps with the industrial world. In making Wide Flange (H-beam) at PT. X found several product defects such as dimensions not according to shop drawings, holes not centered during assembly, number of holes not according to drawings, undercuts, and porosity. To improve the quality of the Wide Flange (H-Beam) product at PT X, it is necessary to take corrective steps for product defects that occur. One of the continuous quality improvement programs to overcome product defects that occur with the DMAIC stages. Based on the research results, it can be concluded that the sigma level and DPMO value of the company is 50.331 with a possible damage of 47,893 pieces. After analyzing using a Pareto diagram, it was found that the type of defect, the number of holes that do not match the drawing with a percentage of 29% and holes not centered during assembly with a percentage of 32%, is the most common. And based on the results of the FMEA analysis, one of the causes of defects in the hole not being a flashlight during assembly is improper installation with an RPN value of 144 and the cause of the defect in the number of holes not conforming to the drawing is not following the drawing with an RPN value of 140. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memperbaiki prosedur operasional pra-pengiriman di Gudang Suku Cadang PT XYZ dengan menerapkan metodologi Fishbone Diagram dan 5W+1H. Tahap pra-pengiriman memastikan bahwa produk yang dikirim memenuhi standar kualitas yang telah ditentukan. Namun, proses ini menghadapi kendala yang cukup besar, seperti ketidakpatuhan terhadap SOP, ketidaktepatan dalam pengambilan barang, dan masalah lingkungan, seperti genangan air di dalam gudang karena saluran air yang tidak memadai. Diagram Fishbone digunakan untuk mengidentifikasi penyebab utama masalah, termasuk faktor manusia dan lingkungan. Selanjutnya, pendekatan 5W+1H diterapkan untuk merumuskan solusi konkret yang dapat diimplementasikan, seperti pelatihan ulang SOP, inspeksi tambahan dengan menggunakan bukti foto, dan perbaikan saluran air. Berdasarkan hasil analisis, gudang hanya mencapai 74% dari target KPI sebesar 90%, dengan faktor manusia sebagai penyebab dominan. Implementasi dari solusi yang diusulkan meliputi perbaikan alur kerja yang lebih sistematis, pelatihan intensif, dan pengawasan yang lebih ketat. Selain itu, pengawasan secara berkala juga dirancang untuk memastikan efektivitas perbaikan dalam jangka panjang. Dengan implementasi yang baik, KPI diharapkan dapat meningkat untuk mencapai target, mengurangi keluhan pelanggan, dan meningkatkan citra perusahaan. Secara keseluruhan, penelitian ini secara signifikan meningkatkan efisiensi dan efektivitas proses pre-delivery di PT XYZ sekaligus memfasilitasi pertumbuhan bisnis perusahaan yang berkelanjutan. Berdasarkan simulasi perhitungan waktu baku, usulan yang diberikan dapat mencapai standar kualitas KPI 90% sebagaimana yang ditetapkan perusahaan.
