Abstract

Membawa unsur seni di dalam pembelajaran sains akan menciptakan suasana baru di dalam kelas. Ini artinya guru harus mempertemukan dua hal yang tampak berbeda, seperti sains (fisika) dan seni (musik), agar menjadi saling terkait. Dalam makalah ini dibahas bagaimana pengaruh integrasi seni musik dalam pembelajaran fisika tentang bunyi terhadap antusiasme dan pemahaman (maha)siswa. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif model one group pretest posttest design. Media pembelajaran yang digunakan adalah gitar akustik, software Zelscope 1.5, dan lagu fisika. Selama kegiatan pembelajaran berlangsung, seni musik diaplikasikan dalam setiap sesi motivasi atau konsolidasi melalui lagu atau permainan gitar akustik. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan adalah RPP, lembar observasi KBM dan sikap, soal evaluasi kognitif, serta kuesioner. Berdasarkan data yang diperoleh, dapat disimpulkan bahwa metode pembelajaran yang digunakan telah berhasil meningkatkan antusiasme dan pemahaman (maha)siswa pada materi bunyi.Bringing elements of art in science learning will create a new atmosphere in the classroom. It means that teachers must combine two different things, such as science (physics) and art (music). This paper discusses about how music integration in learning physics about sound influences students’ enthusiasm and understanding. This research is a qualitative model of one group pretest posttest design. The media used are acoustic guitar, Zelscope 1.5 software, and songs about physics. During the learning activities, music is applied in every motivational or consolidation session using song or acoustic guitar playing. The research instruments used are lesson plan, observation sheets of learning activities and attitudes, cognitive evaluation questions, and questionnaires. Based on the data obtained, it can be concluded that the teaching methods used have increased students’ enthusiasm and understanding on the physics material about sounds.

Abstract

This study aims to design learning Problem Based Learning Model based on syntax study recommendations and content issues on Physics Impulse materials through experiments. This research is a development research with Kemp model. The reference for making the learning design is the result of the syntax study and the content of existing PBL implementation problems from Agustina research. This instructional design is applied to the physics material about Impulse done through experimental activity. Limited trials were conducted on the SWCU Physics Education Study Program students group Salatiga, while the validity test was conducted by high school teachers and physics education lecturers. The results of the trial evaluation are limited and the validity test is used to improve the designs that have been made. The conclusion of this research is the design of learning by using PBL model on Impuls material by referring the result of syntax study and the problem content of existing PBL implementation can be produced by learning activity designed in laboratory experiment activity. The actual problem for Impuls material can be used car crash test video at factory. The results of validation tests and limited trials conducted by researchers assessed that the design of learning made by researchers can be used with small revisions. Suggestions from this research are in making learning design by using PBL model to get actual problem can by collecting news that come from newspaper, YouTube, internet, and television.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the results of the study of the implementation of Problem Based Learning model that has been done on previous research on the syntax, teacher behavior and the content of problems in Teaching and Learning Activities (KBM), especially in the field of Physics study, in terms of the Lesson Plans Program (RPP) and Student Worksheets (LKS) that have been made to the main literature. This research is a qualitative research with the descriptive approach on 7 samples RPP and 7 LKS. The results showed that the content of the problems did not match the PBL and the teacher behaviour on some samples in stage I (Organizing Students to Problem) and stage III (Assisting Self-Inquiry and Group) did not match the PBL syntax. The conclusion of this research is from the analysis of PBL model implementation that has been done in previous studies on the syntax, teacher behavior and the content of the problems in 7 samples of RPP and LKS shows that the teacher behavior that exist in the RPP there are some that are not in accordance with PBL syntax and the contents of the problems given to the students either written on the RPP or LKS mostly not actual because some of it is a matter of memorization that does not require creative thinking, mathematical calculations and problems looking for relationships between variables through experiments. Suggestion from this research that is in use of PBL model for making RPP and LKS in KBM need to refer five stages in PBL and problem has given to the student in PBL learning model should problem actual and require creative thinking and written clearly and completely in RPP and LKS.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to make comics as a learning media which could emerge student’s interest in reading, especially for physics lesson and as a means of literacy. The method used was ADDIE (Analyze, Design, Development, Implement, and Evaluation). The phase of Analyze included the determination of the test subject, the software to be used, and the material reference. The stage of Design included the creation of scripts, test concepts, and form indicators. The development stage consists of making comics, testing media experts and concepts, and also doing repairs and printing. The phase of implementation consists of testing on test subjects, specifically 23 Junior High School students. The implementation of comic testing for Junior High School students used observation sheets of the data collection instruments filled by the observers; meanwhile, the test questions and questionnaires filled by the students. In the phase of Evaluation, the data obtained processed qualitatively and quantitatively. Through the tests given after the learning process, it found that 86.9% of the test subjects got a score of 75. There revealed that the comic titled RAINBOW succeeded in explaining the concept of the rainbow process. The results of the questionnaire found that 89.08% of all aspects of the comics' physical form were good and deserved to used as a learning media. Besides, the comic itself could be a means of literacy, and also the students became interested in learning physic. The results of assessment and observations by observers during the teaching and learning activities also stated that the students.

Abstract

Abstract - Physics learning is still considered as learning that is less attractive to some students. Students’ lack of learning interest in physics learning makes their achievement low. The purpose of this study was to develop a learning media of True or False Physics Fun Game Card, so as to make the students interested in learning physics which could increase students' interest and learning achievement. The kind of the card game "True or False Physics Fun Game Card" was developed from a 41 card game which was modified as needed. In True or False Physics Fun Game Card, there were 50 true and false statements. Moreover, there were also points of 10-25 based on the level of difficulty of the statements. The statements made based on the Hydrostatic Law, the Relating Vessel, and the Archimedes Law. The True or False Physics Fun Game Card was developed by using the ADDIE development model which consists of 5 development steps, such as analyzing, designing, development, implementation, and evaluation. This study was tested on 12 samples of the Physics students of Universitas Kristen Satya Wacana. The data obtained were processed qualitatively and quantitatively. Based on the results of this study, it was found that 93.75% of students responded positively toward the learning media “True or False Physics Fun Game Card” and the average value of the students' post-test results was 72.67. The 10 samples from a total of 12 test samples obtained the post-test result; 65, so as the percentage of the successful comprehension sample was 83.33%. This study contributed to increasing kinds of learning media and improving students' learning achievement, especially in physics learning.

Abstract

Abstract – Laboratory demonstration tools is learning medium that teachers use as an alternative to improve students’ understanding. Founded that students understand the concept that is taught but some students still have difficulty in solving the problem. This study aims to describe the profile of students' thinking processes presented through laboratory equipment by analyzing student behavior as learning takes place based on information processing theory. This research is a naturalistic qualitative research in which the research takes place naturally and not conditioned. Subjects in this study were 2 students of SMKN in Salatiga with high and low academic category. The result of the students' thinking process descriptions show that subjects with high academic categories are able to process the stimuli in selective attention more fully from subjects with low academic categories, the two subjects perform a perception process against the stimulus correctly, the rehearsal process performed by subjects with high academic categories stimuli more frequently than subjects with low academic categories, subjects with high academic category are able to perform the encoding process well while the subject with low academic category were not, and subjects with high academic category can perform the process of retrieval smoothly while subjects with academic low category have difficulty difficulties. The lack ability to process information can decrease the ability to solve problems. The suggestion for educators is that they must provide a complete record of learning outcomes and provide conceptual application for learning objectives to be achieved.

Abstract

Kurikulum 2013 untuk SMP menuntut pembelajaran IPA Terpadu, suatu topik kajian IPA dibahas dari sudut pandang fisika, biologi, dan kimia sekaligus tidak lagi terpisah-pisah. Permasalahannya sebagian besar guru IPA berlatarbelakang pendidikan spesifik (fisika/biologi/kimia) dan terbiasa mengajar satu bidang ilmu saja. Hal ini menimbulkan kesulitan mengajar bidang ilmu lainnya, terlebih memadukan dua bidang ilmu untuk memecahkan satu masalah. Penelitian ini bertujuan : 1) membuat RPP IPA Terpadu pada topik jantung sebagai pemompa darah dengan pendekatan saintifik, 2) mengimplementasikan RPP yang dibuat dalam KBM di kelas untuk menguji keberhasilannya. Alat pengumpulan data yang digunakan yaitu soal evaluasi, lembar observasi, dan lembar kuisioner. Data dianalisis secara deskriptif-kualitatif. Dari hasil penelitian, lebih dari 70% siswa terlibat aktif dan tertarik mengikuti pembelajaran serta berhasil membantu para siswa memahami pembelajaran dengan baik tanpa kesulitan. Hal ini terbukti dari hasil tes yang dilakukan 84% siswa mendapat nilai di atas 70. Dari penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa desain pembelajaran IPA Terpadu ini dapat diimplementasikan dalam pembelajaran di kelas.

Abstract

Metode ceramah yang masih diterapkan beberapa guru di sekolah tidak mengajarkan siswa saling bekerja sama dalam belajar. Selain itu sekolah yang masih menerapkan sistem rangking mengakibatkan sifat individual pada siswa dan memunculkan persaingan tidak sehat, di mana siswa pandai tidak mau membagi pengetahuannya kepada siswa kurang pandai demi mendapatkan rangking tertinggi di kelas. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membuat desain pembelajaran kooperatif untuk meningkatkan kerja sama dan hasil belajar siswa dengan mengembangkan permainan ludo sebagai media turnamen dalam pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Team Games Tournament. Metode penelitian yang dipakai adalah PTK yang terdiri dari tahap perencanaan, tahap pelaksanaan dan tahap refleksi. Alat pengumpul data yang digunakan berupa lembar observasi sikap kerja sama (afektif), soal evaluasi (kognitif), dan kuesioner. Sampel yang digunakan siswa SMP kelas VIII, dengan materi bunyi. Data dianalisis secara deskriptif kualitatif. Pada akhir pembelajaran, guru memberikan tes untuk mengetahui hasil belajar siswa dan kuesioner untuk mengetahui tanggapan siswa terhadap metode yang diberikan. Hasil penelitian yang didapatkan adalah 95% siswa mendapat nilai 70 untuk tes evaluasi. Pada aspek afektif kelas mencapai batas kriteria yang ditentukan yaitu 70% siswa melakukan kegiatan kerja sama dengan baik sehingga penggunaan permainan menciptakan suasana kompetisi yang sehat dan menyenangkan.

Abstract

Buku teks fisika yang digunakan di sekolah-sekolah berupa tulisan-tulisan, rumus dan gambar. Hal ini yang menyebabkan siswa malas membaca dan memahami isi dari buku. Siswa lebih suka membaca komik karena komik berisi gambar yang menarik dan tulisannya singkat. Muncullah ide untuk membuat komik sebagai media pembelajaran dengan topik tekanan hidrostatis. Metode penelitiannya yaitu Penelitian Tindakan Kelas guru sebagai peneliti dengan sampel salah satu MTs di Kabupaten Semarang kelas VIII yang berjumlah 32 siswa. Pada peneltian ini menggunakan lembar observasi untuk mengetahui efektifitas komik dan pembelajarannya, nilai tes evaluasi untuk mengetahui pemahaman siswa dan lembar kuisioner untuk mengetahui ketertarikan siswa. Hasilnya dianalisis secara deskriptif kualitatif dengan memperhatikan efektifitas komik, pemahaman, dan ketertarikan siswa terhadap pembelajaran fisika. Berdasarkan penelitian yang telah dilakukan disimpulkan bahwa komik efektif dalam memotivasi siswa dan menambah minat siswa dalam belajar. Dan dari segi kognitif komik dapat membantu siswa dalam memahami materi fisika tentang tekanan hidrostatis.

Abstract

Buku teks fisika saat ini isinya didominasi dengan tulisan panjang, dan rumus. Mayoritas anak lebih suka membaca komik daripada buku pelajaran karena berisi banyak gambar, maka dibuatlah komik fisika. Komik yang memuat konsep fisika yang dikemas dengan bahasa sehari-hari. Penelitian ini bertujuan agar siswa lebih tertarik pada fisika dan membantu memahami materi yang disampaikan. Penelitian ini menggunakan Metode PTK guru sebagai peneliti. Sampel yang dipakai adalah 30 orang siswa MTS di Kabupaten Semarang. Data yang diperoleh dari pemebelajaran menggunakan komik fisika berupa lembar observasi untuk mengamati efektifitas komik dan pembelajaran secara keseluruhan, hasil tes tertulis siswa untuk mengetahui pemahaman materi, dan kuisioner untuk mengetahui minat siswa terhadap komik fisika. Dari hasil penelitian didapat bahwa komik sebagai media pembelajaran fisika efektif dalam memotivasi siswa dalam belajar. Komik juga memberi pengaruh positif berupa keberanian mengemukakan pendapat dan interaksi dalam pembelajaran, sedang dari segi kognitif komik dapat membantu memahami konsep prinsip kerja kamera.
