Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the religious values contained in the novel and religious literary criticism of the novel Maryam. This study uses a qualitative method. By describing the data in the form of an analysis of religious values in the novel Maryam. The object of this research is the novel Maryam by Okky Madasari. Data collection techniques used are literature study techniques and analytical techniques. The data analysis technique used is to categorize each paragraph that is included in religious values based on the theory of Heri Jauhari (2010). There are three criticisms in this novel based on Heri Jauhari's theory, namely the monotheistic aspect, the fiqh aspect, and the moral aspect. The criticism obtained on the aspect of monotheism is found in the attitude of Maryam who chose to leave her faith. The criticism obtained on the fiqh aspect is in Umar's response when he had sexual relations with Komang. The criticism obtained on the moral aspect of this novel is in the treatment of discrimination against residents who adhere to Ahmadiyah.Keywords: Literary criticism; religiosity; novel Maryam.

Abstract

Abstract: The Teacher’s Diary film by Nithiwat Tharathorn raises the theme of the struggle of teachers who teach in remote school. The problem discussed in this research is didactic value. The researcher describes the didactic values found in the depiction of characters through actions, speech and mind. Didactic value analysis in this film used Ali's theory. The method used is descriptive qualitative content analysis approach. The results showed that the didactic values contained in the film The Teacher's Diary, namely intellectual / intelligence value, skill value, self-esteem value, social values / community relations / association, moral value, beauty value, divine / religious value, self-control value / emotional stability, value of behavior / customs of courtesy, the value of will / desire or ideals. Based on the research results, it can be concluded that the didactic values in this film can be used as a reflection or example for teachers to teach and educate students and understand the meaning of teacher in a complete perspective. Keywords: Didactic Value, The Teacher’s Diary, Film.

Abstract

Matters related to human reason and mind can be understood as a culture. Every culture has different values. Film is one of the media that can be used to introduce culture. This study aims to determine the Balinese cultural values contained in the film a Perfect Fit directed by Hadrah Daeng Ratu. The researcher uses descriptive qualitative method, with Roland Barthes' semiotic study which explains the idea of significance seen through two stages, namely connotation and denotation. The results obtained from this study are the Balinese cultural values contained in the film a Perfect Fit, among others, namely: (1) Canang Sari is a form of offering (2) Mepantigan is a martial art as an expression of gratitude and mutual trust between group members or society ( 3) Melukat is a ceremony or procession of self-cleaning to avoid negative aura (4) Kecak dance has a meaning to remind the whole community to always think before acting (5) Reading Weton is a procession to match the date of birth to determine the auspicious day of marriage (6) Bebayuhan ceremony called bebayuhan is a process of getting rid of negative things that are brought from birth (7) Balinese Wedding Traditional Dress means that a pair of humans are mentally and physically ready to build a household.

Abstract

The problems in this research include the types and forms of code mixing in Indonesian and English on the alternative universe (AU) Twitter page on the @jhynjelly account. Alternative universe (AU) Twitter is a form of digital literary work or a type of fiction with many fans in Indonesia where the setting and situation are made different from the real life of the characters in the story. The purpose of this study is to describe the types and forms of code mixing in the Twitter alternative universe (AU) on the @jhynjelly account which tells of two people who are in a relationship who do not know each other's backgrounds, in the end they get an unexpected fate. This study applies a qualitative descriptive method. The data for this research are in the form of words, phrases and clauses which include mixing Indonesian and English codes in uploads to the Twitter account @jhynjelly. The results of this study show that there are: types of exit code mixing namely; insert code mixing (Insertion); mix code alternation (alteration); mixing code congruent lexicalization (congruent lexicalization); as well as the forms of code mixing obtained in the form of words, phrases and clauses

Abstract

Penggunaan bahasa oleh manusia dapat dikaitkan dengan penutur dan mitra tutur, serta tindakan manusia dalam mengucapkan tuturan disebut tindak tutur. Tindak tutur dalam dialog film memiliki maksud dan tujuan berupa tindakan yang ditujukan kepada mitra tutur. Oleh karena itu, untuk memahami tindak tutur dalam dialog film, perlu dilakukan penelitian yang berfokus pada bentuk dan makna tindak tutur ilokusi. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengungkap bentuk dan mendeskripsikan makna tindak tutur ilokusi pada dialog film "Argantara". Data dalam penelitian ini diambil dari dialog film "Argantara". Sumber data dalam penelitian ini ialah Film “Argantara” karya Guntur Soeharjanto. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik dokumentasi, simak, dan catat. Teknik analisis data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan analisis isi. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ditemukan sebanyak 17 data jenis tindak tutur ilokusi. Yang meliputi; tiga data asertif berupa memberitahu, mengeluh, dan menyatakan. Tiga data direktif berupa memerintah, memohon, dan meminta. Dua data komisif berupa berjanji. Enam data ekspresif berupa kesal, marah, kecewa, dan khawatir. Serta tiga data deklaratif berupa menghukum dan menegaskan. Selain itu, ditemukan bahwa tindak tutur ilokusi dalam dialog film Argantara memiliki makna yang lebih dalam tentang bagaimana bahasa, intonasi, ekspresi wajah, dan konteks komunikasi memberikan pesan yang lebih mendalam.

Abstract

The aim of the research to know, the importance of the role of philology in building the character of the nation that is by digging the moral values and character of the nation through research or cultivation of manuscript, both those that have been studied and that have not been analyzed by the philologists.The method used in this research is descriptive analytic method with qualitative approach. The results obtained from this study is the benefits of philology learning among which is to understand the culture of a nation, the unfolding of habits and customs of the people of the past, and the disclosure of the history of a real nation. With the unfolding of culture, customs, and history in the past, it will reveal the identity and character of a nation. One of them is through the cultivation of the text Anis Al-Muttaqin and Siksakandang Karesian script, in which contained moral values and character that should be owned by a leader.Conclusions In understanding the value of human behavior related to God, self, fellow human beings and the environment there is a need for philological learning in the form of texts. So that the value contained in the text appears to restore the nation's character. Keywords: Character, Philology Study
